No Option To Save Movie AVI Windows Movie Maker
Oct 7, 2009I have Windows Movie Maker version 5.1 and it just simply does not show any options for file type in the Save Movie Wizard settings. I do get options that affect file size/resolution but no "Other" settings. Do I have the wrong version of WMM? I'd like to save my movies as .avi files

I'll be in the middle of typing or browsing and all of a sudden, it will be as if I chose some other window and this one is not the main active window. while I'm trying to play a game, when it knocks me back out to my desktop and I have to maxmize the window again.

Jul 18, 2005When I use Windows Movie Maker to capture from my DV camcorder, the CPU is at 100 % and the fan is always working. Then, after approximately 5 minutes of capture, my PC freeze and I have to reboot it. Then I see that a 39 MB video file (.wmv) and a 468 MB .tmp file have been created.I have a notebook 2.4 GHz with 512 MB of RAM. I have ordered a notebook cooler but it will come in about 2 weeks.I tried to capture my video with the Samsung software coming with my camcorder, it worked, the CPU was low during the capture but the video

This error is driving me nuts.
Not matter what drive I select, no matter what files I use as a source, I STILL GET THIS ERROR.
I have 2 hard drives, one with 35 gigs free space, the other with 90 gigs of free space. I have 2 gigs of RAM. AMD 64 3700+ processor.

Now, my o/s (Win XP Pro SP2) and Office 2003 has all the latest updates completed (no failures). Why and how would I download SP2 with Movie Maker 2.1 when I already have SP2? Jul 21, 2009Every time i try to open any thing (image, zip file, video) basically any file that sends makes windows sends the (%1) argument to the associated program (meaning when zip files makes windows calls for winrar, or videos makes it call for VLC) I get thoes programs windows behind the original window and it gets pretty bad when that happens with a "force always on top" window, I just can't reach for the window behind.
