I recently bought a Verinex XM550 fingerprint scanner off ebay. I did not realize that it did not include drivers or software. I have contacted the company, which said they only support companies with 10+
people. My question is does anybody have a recomendation on what to do or software I can use to get my fingerprint scanner working?
when using the fingerprint scanner on a network with pasword changes every 90days, does the fingerprint scanner on a lenovo laptop synch properly with a newly updated password? I have a user here who changed the password but the fingerprint scanner did not seem to recognize the change since when you first set it up it asks for your current password. Once setup correctly all you have to do is scan your fingerprint and it logs you in.

I used to scan using the camera and scanner wizard because the scan button on the printer never has worked. Now it shows the printer being an image scanner but there's no little arrow beside it. I don't think it's being recognized, but the printer works perfectly. The error says the install shield engine (ikernal.exe) could not be launched. the rpc server is unavailable.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I plug in my camera into a USB port, the Scanner and Camera wizard, which used to run, no longer runs, instead an explorer box pops up with the folder(s) on the memory stick. I can browse the memory stick, also. When I try to manually run the scanner and camera wizard, it tells me it cannot recognize the scanner or camera. Again, this was working, suddently it stopped.

Windows found the driver, and I began installing. Then a message: "Has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify compatibly with XP. may impair operating of this system." Scary message. Does this mean that I should avoid installing this scanner?

When I would play it, it would stutter, play a DVD disk slightly at less than normal speed, and the audio had a slight echo to it. So I bought a new one (an LG). After 4 months, it had the same problem. I replaced it. The new one has the same problem. My external DVD writer seems to work fine. So, rather than the writer, I think it might be a driver issue?

Before the reinstall, I managed to track down this page on the Sony Asia website (http://www.sony-asia.com/support/dow...subpage=detail), and downloaded all of the listed drivers onto a memory stick. Having formatted the disk and installed Windows, I installed the drivers in the order listed on the website. They all worked perfectly, except for the Realtek audio driver.No sound was played by the computer, and when viewing the sound preferences under the Control Panel, I was informed that there is No Audio Device.

The fingerprinter work - except that it seems that it scans my finger as soon as I put it on the pad (I hear the sound confirmation beep) - but then it takes like 7 - 15 seconds beofre it actuallly populates the web username and password, and then submit button. I can type in the username and password faster than using the fingerprint reader?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhenever i install drivers on my pc, (i've tried graphics card drivers and wireless network card drivers) my pc stops working. When i installed the graphics card drivers, i tried testing the graphics on a game (counter-strike) but as soon as i got into the game, the pc flashes a blue screen, and reboots. I cant see what the blue screen says because it flashes on and off again to quick for me to read it. I decided to uninstall the graphics card drivers, and the game worked perfectly, but the graphics were REALLY bad. So i thought i might need to update some other drivers, so i tried to install my wireless network card, but when i finished installing the drivers when i had to restart my computer, it flashed the BSOD.... AGAIN! I need help urgently as im going to a LAN gaming comp called "rezidue" and its on in 2 weeks, i need my pc fixed by then! All these problems started when i upgraded my CPU. Everything was running smooth, and i was happily playing along on my computer, when i was asked what my FPS was in counter-strike, and i was all "mine are 65!" and there like "wow that sucks, mines 130" so i set out on my epic quest to get better FPS then everyone else and MAN THAT WAS A MISTAKE. I upgraded from my celeron 2.8ghz cpu to a P4 3.0ghz HT cpu, and thats when things started messing up on me. My entire system is as follows (incase it can help someone help me) P4 3.0ghz HT CPU, Microstar P4 motherboard, 128mb Nvidia Geforce mx4000 AGP x8 graphics card, 256MB ddr ram (recently brought new 1GB ddr ram off ebay just for rezidue! should be here soon!)
