Screen Pops Up Does Not Start Up
Sep 4, 2007My laptop died on me last week. When I turn it on, the Windows screen pops up, but then it goes black and never brings up the desktop. It sucks because all my school work is on there.

RUNDLL Pops Up At Start Up

Blue Screen Pops Up And Says It's Going To Standby
Jul 27, 2006I am running Win XP. A strange thing happens on start up. After you log on with a password and it goes to your desktop, a few seconds later the blue screen pops up and says it's going to stand by then stands by. You reboot and it just keeps doing that.

Oct 23, 2005I was playing a game and I rebooted my computer. When i went to start it it went to the a blank blue screen before the account screen in the beginning of XP. I know i can restore to new but i will have lost so much information that it would take about 3 months to retain it all back. It says it can not find operating system. When I start the computer, it asks if for the choice of Safe Mode, w/ Networking, w/Command Prompt or Normally.
I've tried them all and if I try it normally, it won't get past the XP loading screen. It's loading and then it flashes a blue screen for a second and then restarts the computer again.
I tried pressing F8 at boot and selected 'Disable automatic restart on system failure' and this is what I get

I even tried using this http://forums.techguy.org/6669592-post28.html to get to chkdsk At boot, F12, chose CD/DVD, but still nothing, I even tried disabling boot from +HDD, FDD and LAN from the bios setup menu to see if it works and this is what I got, it just keeps going on and on unless I enable boot from +HDD

Start Screen Inverted Upside Down / Login Screen On Everything Is Flipped
Mar 21, 2006I was just typing along in a word document when my whole screen on my laptop flipped. File, Edit etc are across the bottom and start and all those things normally across the bottom are on the top - but upside down. The mouse is working backwards as well. MAJOR PAIN. When I restart it, the Windows screen comes up correctly but from the login screen on everything is flipped. I just use that computer for word processing not the internet so I'm hoping it is not a virus. I tried restoring the system

On Startup Box Pops Up
Dec 27, 2006On startup a box pops up and says that lass.exe has terminated unexpectedly and the system will be restarted in 60 seconds.It does this in normal mode and safe mode.I don't think there is any antivirus on the machine, as a brillant student uninstalled it because it was expired and she needed space for mp3s. Not good I know.This is a Dell Dimension 4500 with 128 meg of ram and WinXP home.
Error Pops Up On BSOD
Oct 13, 2007Okay, here is my story. Around early august, I built a new gaming rig pretty much all by myself. All the parts cost nearly $800. But another guy did a few things for me, and set up the BIOS.Anyway,I installed a bunch of drivers on some cd's I had, and it looked like I was good to go. Anyway, from then to now, I have been through BSoD heck, among other problems.
The USB's killed 2 of my flash drives,and an ipod.I don't know how, but it defidenntly isn't a coincidence all of those things died.Anyway,I get BSoD's in the most random times,it happens a while I start my pc up. I can barely play games like Bioshock because of this problem.the error message that usually pops up on the BSoD is DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

Sep 19, 2008I have a campaq notebook that runs windows xp, when I start up it does fine until I click into the user name. Once it gets to my screen the windows installer automatically pops up and tells me it is preparing to install photogallery which to the best of my knowledge I don't have. It atempts to install until a screen pops up that says omething about needing a cd to install. If you cancel out it tries it atleast 2 more times. It is really agrivating me as it takes almost ten minutes to get through all of this before I can do anything else. If someone could help I would be greatful. I already tried to unistall the program and it isn't there.

When I click on the end now, the error goes away and the computer shuts down properly.
