A computer in their room,its an IBM with windows xp,Somehow they have rotated desktop 180 degrees and its upside down and I dont know how to return it to normal.Im fairly certain its the desktop because the monitor menu is the right way

Basically my screen seems to have swivelled 90 degrees clockwise, sos the desktop bar is on the side of the screen, and the desktop picture is upside down - so i have to turn my head upside down in order to view my screen normally.How it goes back to the normal way?

We tried rebooting and only the initial intel logo is displayed correctly for a couple of seconds and then the windows screen comes on upside down. Any ideas on how to fix this? Several unwanted desktop icons appeared recently (I think they come via Search2000 when IE is used). They won't right-click for deletion, nor will they allow themselves to be drop-dragged to the recycle bin. They don't appear in the desktop icon list when using the desktop cleanup feature.
