Oct 21, 2006I have been under constant debate on whether to download IE7. I have heard of a few bugs running around on it, and am not sure if it will be worth getting.

May 5, 2006Has anyone had problems with their computer after downloading Internet Explorer 7?
I was going to try it until I was told by a friend that he's had nothing but problems with his computer since he downloaded it.I've read that this IE 7 is a beta version which means that all the bugs haven't been worked out yet? Maybe that might have something to do with my friends computer problems, I don't know.Just wondering what the public response has been about this new version of IE.

Jan 28, 2007After downloaded Internet Explorer 7 in wouldn't totally install because I needed to downloads updates and my computer wouldn't. So now I can's use my people's pc internet connection I click on it and it does NOTHING. It's like I don't have it anymore.

Oct 2, 2010I am using XP professional sp3 (special pack 3) before I downloaded Internet Explorer 8 I was a 2 packer. Since that time I have had many thing go wrong. The puter just shuts off. I was told that Google chrome is a good internet provider but I can't try because I didn't know that it was going to change what I thought my system was. I do get error messages saying: You vertual memory is low. I'm running on 496 mb of ram.

Nov 2, 2007For some reason, when tried to open a PDF file over the internet, it shows the downloading and then when it's done, it's just a white screen. I tried going back but it's still the same thing. So I went to my desktop and clicked on some other older PDF file I had and I don't get know error message or anything, it doesn't open.

Jun 22, 2006his program is dependent on the internet to unload and download important information containing my progress. but the program will not stay up. it will exit without any error or warning to the desktop. No data is saved to their servers. I know it's got to be my end. as I have seen others use it (in the classroom) without problems. My connection is stable. and I have DSL. In cases like this I would usually uninstall and then reinstall. I can not lose my past progress as it is saved to their servers. But I cannot uninstall as the setup.exe for the program cannot be found, I have not done a manual uninstall before.

Apr 16, 2006I recently go tthe new comp and then ran into some errors when downloading off the internet, Files turn corrupt most of the time on IE or Firefox and other times it might want to work, Downloading the install for Winamp is one which will corrupt every time no matter how I try it, check for virus's, spyware, turn everything else off, turn off the firewall and I've done all that and still haven't gotten anything. I've been told I should try and update my bios but I know that could only cause more problems in certain cases, Even when trying the asus auto update it says that it couldn't uncompress it. One of the classic errors is" NSIS error, The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete.
This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download or virus. It may be possible to skip this check using /NCRC command line switch(Not recommended )". As well as say if any torrents that I get bit comet says it's corrupt and ones that work in the regular bittorrent downloader go at trash speeds, router I was on was set up before this so it should still be good. I hope this is enough information, if more is needed I'd be happy to tell you. I also cleaned the regestry and checked for viruses and malware as well as anything else I could think of.

May 18, 2005Lately when I download any type of file whether it be from the internet or from my Sony Cybershot, I am being denied access to whatever I downloaded. Just downloaded pictures and video from my camera to my computer and I moved all 'video' to a folder I called 'our video'. Now that it is there I cannot access it. Just plainly says, " 'our video' is not accessible, access denied". It is not allowing me to move it to another folder as well.
When I tried to play the video before I was getting the access denied thing, media player was saying that it cannot play that type of file. I have NEVER had an issue with playing ANY pics. or video that came from my camera. This has been going on for a few weeks with every video or picture that I add to my computer. After it is downloaded I can't access it. I am running XP professional.

Aug 12, 2002Have only tried this on XP Pro but it works great. Decreased my login time from 2mins to 15secs. Increased my network speed (ex. 170MB file took 15-20min. Now the same 170MB file takes less than 2mins). WOW!Here it is... Go into your network properties and then into your TCP/IP settings. Add your Server's IP address as Prefered DNS Server. Then select you Advanced button, go into your WINS tab and insert your Server's IP address for your WINS address as well. Reboot the system and you SHOULD see a difference.
