I was just wondering if someone can look @ my Hijack, and tell me want is wong with it.
Also When I go into my config, And then Startup, there are alot of progroram which are open. I don't know which to close or leave open.

View 8 Replies View Relatedmy work colleagues is having trouble with a slow-running computer i thought I'd look at her startup options and make sure there isn't something running that doesn't need to be. I ran msconfig and looked at what she had going at startup, but only the necessary items were checked there. So I took a look at the services panel, using a list from blackviper.com to make sure her computer's settings matched up with those recommendation. However, one of the services listed isn't on the blackviper.com list: Winkcpw. Nor did I get any hits for the name of the service on either Google or using Yahoo search. I'm wondering if anyone here knows what the program is and whether it should be running at all.

View 12 Replies View RelatedOk, I honestly don't know why, but my computer has been running very very slow lately.. programs are taking forever to load, Internet Explorer windows take 5 years it seems like to come up, and it's just running slow all around My computer is about a 2-3 year old Dell that has run amazingly since the day I installed Windows on it. It has Windows XP Service Pack 2.

A lot of times when online and am just browsing i get the message Internet Explorer cannot display this page even though i am connected!! very frustrating!! Also if i am on any site like ebay that displays pictures the pictures don`t come up i just get a small red cross that i have to right click and press show picture!

Don't even ask about the internet. it did not download anything in the last few days and has no idea why this is happening.

It will however load if I am already in the program which usually opens it. Beside them it says SIG file, which I have no idea what that means. Also, it is just a blank box beside the file name (in my documents list) when usually there is a mini icon showing which program will work to open it.

For example, if I click on an application from the desktop it will sit there for 10-20 seconds before anything happens. Occasionally I'll click multiple times on something and nothing will happen then 30 seconds later it will open multiple instances of things. This delay has been happening with just about anything I click on, acting like the computer's busy doing something else when nothing else should be going on. Pages take too long to load, and I now sometimes get the server error message here, server not responding. Any idea what I can do. View 6 Replies View RelatedI ran Ad Aware SE and later Spyawre Doctor and found nothing also clen temp. files on IE/Tools/temp folders then I ran %temp% and deleted all temp files but it gave me an Error File or Folder mon000 that says close any programs that might be using the file and try again. I don' know what file that is. there are two files that were not deleted: mon000.log and one named Dat.File pefib Perfdata Also ran ATF-cleaner

It's just terribly slow.

I have some sort of program running on the background of my computer that seems to be disturbing any kind of task I try to accomplish on my cpu. It seems to be running every 30 seconds or so for a brief moment and then repeats over and over again. Whenever I try to type, this program or virus clicks off the current window, in which I have to reposition my cursor again back to where it was originally. Even as I type now, I am having to click back onto this editor every 6 or 7 words. I have checked my task manager and cannot find any processes that are running since the only happens and causes a disruption for a brief second. This is very odd and seems to make any task that much more aggravating.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem opening almost any program on my computer after a crash during shutdown (just after a Windows update). When I double-click the icon it looks as if it is loading and nothing ever opens. If I look in task manager ,however, firefox.exe or whatever program I tried running is running, but using 50% the CPU resources and a window never opens. Chkdsk ran after the crash and I tried sfc /scannow and it did get ie8 to open up, but it freezes with 50% of the CPU usage, according to task manager, and still does not allow browsing. Even after uninstalling and re-installing Firefox I still can't get it to open.I tried the following experiment Open Firefox, then IE8, each use 50% of CPU resources, but neither allows browsing (Firefox does not even open a window).
