im having trouble burning DVD's and CD's. Everytime i log in to windows xp an install box pops up asking for a 'sonic activation module disk' i have no idea wat to do. i cant revert back to a previous state in widows because system restore was switched off when it box appeared. any ideas wat to do?
I'm not happy with the Sonic software that came with my computer.I would like to edit dvr-ms files (among many other things)and am wondering what you think of Nero 6.6? I have their cd burner at work and like it.
Hi. My problem is similar to this one here http://forums.cnet.com/5208-12546_102-0.html?threadID=295044 Except I am not running Vista and don't have AOL on there. Also, I don't think my drive is actually full, or if it is, it's because of something that Sonic or Windows did.
I have a bunch of computers. This Dell laptop, Inspiron E1505, is one I primarily use to watch DVD's or online shows. There were a lot of programs installed, because I used to use it regularly, and then I loaned it to someone for about a year. It had very few files in terms of documents, pictures, music, or videos, because I had cleaned all that out before I loaned it to her, and I got a new laptop, and so only use this one to watch DVD's. Also, I should mention it has a fairly new DVD recorder because the old one died a few months back.
Sometimes I use this laptop to burn or copy disks, which is what I have been doing the past two days, using the program Sonic Digital Media LE v7, which came preinstalled. It was working fine copying dvd's (legal copies of ones I recorded myself) until yesterday, when it suddenly said that my hard drive was full and to free up "0 kb" in order to proceed.
When I close the program after this error, it gives me three crash messages (every time).
First one says MediaHub.exe application error. The instruction at "0x0035afd0" reference memory at "0x35171ae8". The memory could not be "written". Click on OK to terminate the program."
The next error is almost exactly the same but gives all the numbers as 0x00000000.
The third error is Microsoft Visual C++ RUntime Library Runtime Error! program: mediahub.exe R6025 - pure virtual function call.
At first, rebooting helped this problem, but then I got the error again. So I ran disk cleanup. It took a really long time and then the pc turned itself off. I turned it back on and it said that the pc had overheated because the fan vents were blocked. The vent is on the bottom, and was very dirty (possibly because my friend was a heavy smoker), so I wiped it off with a damp napkin. I rebooted and ran disk cleanup again. I was able to copy disks again until it gave me the error again. Every time I go to the C drive and check the disk free space, it gives me very little there, but I know that it's not because of any files I have on there.
Anyway, I also uninstalled all of the unimportant programs and deleted any extra files I could find. I want to run check disk, but I got an error message and it said it would run it next time I rebooted (that didn't help and check disk still didn't run, and still wouldn't run next time I tried it). I tried to run disk defragmenter, but it said I only had 5% hard drive space left and it needs 15%. I ran it anyway, and it seemed to work, and I was able to copy more disks.
Now I am getting that error message again.
I am running disk cleanup again, compressing old files, so we'll see if that works. I haven't tried System Restore yet, will try that one next. I really would rather not reinstall Windows.
I uninstalled the Nvidia driver, powered down and pulled the card then installed the Radeon card powered up and am now getting these two rundll error messages. Can somebody tell me how to make them go away?
RUNDLL Error Loading C:Program FilesCommon FilesParetoLogicUUS2UUS.dll The specific Module could not be found Don't know what it means. 1st Day-This popped up while writing a letter in Word. 2nd Day-- It popped up while playing Freecell. 3rd Day it popped up while working on genealogy. There seems to be no common thread when it pops up.
I m using windows xp I can't download Yahoo Messenger. A two step process, it gets stuck on the second process. Right after I hit the second "run" button it tells me: "Could not load the DLL library. The specified module could not be found." When I go under system 32 I find a ton of dll files.I am pretty new to computers. I asked a friend who isn't sure and another suggested googling DLL, which is what brought me here. One of the websites said i would find the files in the System 32 folder and so looked in there. Now I am writing you.
how can i stop the small gray box from popping up that states RUNDLL and also states cannot be found. I have tried several system restores to no avail. Plus I tried system configuration numerous times. Now I am unable to system restore to the previous month.
I am trying to load SalesLogix CRM software client on a Dell Inspiron 9200 laptop with Windows XP SP2. Everytime SalesLogix opens I get an error report saying SalesLogix.exe had to close and the faulting module was NTDLL.DLL. I tried SalesLogix support but they were of no help. I tried copying in NTDLL.DLL from another computer that SalesLogix is working on but I could not get it to register. Something about DLLRegisterServer entry point not found.
I receive the following error on startup of my laptop (XP SP3 operating system) Error loading C:Windowswftadfi16_080707a.dll The specified module could not be found Is this a major problem? How can it be fixed?
I'm not sure why this error started showing up but every time I reboot my computer I get a box that pops up and says "Error loading M3000Rmv.dll The specified module could not be found." It has an "OK" button and if I click it the message goes away and the computer seems to run just fine.I did some research about this error but everything that was suggested to do, none of it applied to my computer.
I receive this message every time I open Win XP Pro. It also says "The specific module could not be found". I just click OK and continue on, it does not appear to be hindering me in any way. I am curious about any error messages because they might be a problem somewhere in the future.
I'm trying to help diagnose an issue with a PC, running XP Home, 1.8Ghz Pentium 512Ram. It tends to either freeze up completly, or become unusably slow. This usually happens at times associated with either using Roxio Media Creator (7.5) or burning a DVD. Also severly slows down when copying a large file or a large amount of files between drives and folders. My initial thought was that is was a conflict between Roxio and something running in the background, since 75-90% of the problems occur when that program is running. Or possibly, but less likely, the memory module or CPU might be dieing.
Recently, at every start up I have been receiving an alert shown below:Error Loading C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32dcanylro.dll The Specified Module could not be found.
Yesterday my firewall picked up on an attempted attack on the computer, and since then my internet access has been limited (usually to sixty seconds). My DSL provider's tech support couldn't figure it out, so I'm posting to see if any of you can help. The only thing out of the ordinary that has occurred since the attempt, is the repeated notice that both IAMAPP.exe and bcont module have experienced difficulty, and must shut down. I had never received either message before.
I've tried almost evrything to get my java to install. I even tried registering the DLL's manually. That way was working find until I tried to register "regsvr32 Msjava.dll" and i just get "Load Library failed "cannot find Msjava.dll module." I've just about given up. If anyone has a clue on how to get this module,
My owners manual for Dell 2400 series desktop calls for a PC2700(333-MHz)DDR SDRAM (non-ECC) Memory Module Will a Kingston 512MB PC2700DDR (KVR333/512R, KVR33350/512R) Memory Module be OK?
Everytime I turn on my computer and windows starts up. It tells me it cannot find cfgmgr52.dll module. error loading it states. Our daughter opened a link and just loaded it up with so many stubborn adware. That with norton I was finally able to get rid of them.
i'm using sp2 and activation has expired...so now everytime i boot the pc i can't login to win unless i activate it .i even can't access it in safe mode.....the problem is the product key i have i already in use and saved in their database
I just installed Windows XP Pro on my new custom built computer, but the installation CD was not mine to begin with, but I do have an upgrade CD to Windows XP Pro that I thought I could use the activation code with, which eventually found out that It would not allow me to put the activation product key from my upgrade CD for the installation CD that I started with.Would anyone know the way around this problem? I certainly would not like to buy a new installation CD and start my OS again clean.
After installing a windows xp in a system it shows an icon at the bottom of the task bar to activate with the license key and and we can activate it by using the license key and this is one way but instead of activating it by using that icon is there any other way to activate the windows xp internally with the license key.
I have a authorised windows XP1 cd which had purchased from mumbai.Had formatted the system in the past and had reinstalled it again using the same cd and activated the windows over net using same CD and activation code. However this time it is giving a error that code is mistyped, which I have not. The shop where I had purchased CD is no longer open.
I have just purchased a new computer without an OS to cut costs. I have an old computer that brought xp for and upgraded it and activated it. will microsoft let me install the same xp onto my new computer if i phone them up and explain?
I've just been round to help my neighbour with her laptop... she's 80 (Bless!) Anyway, when booting up a message appears to say that before windows can log on the product (XP Home) needs to be activated. No problem, so I press OK. But then, in the Product Activation window it says, This product has already been activated, press OK. Which I do but then it shuts down. It's just a continual circle that I can't seem to get out of. By the way, it boots up okay in safe Mode.
Just have a quick question Ive just bought an old pc off a "friend" who assured me his copy of XP was legit I have gotten to the activation stage and it turns out its the wrong code So what i was thinking was using my own disc that i have just bought, but i dont know how to format the hard drive from the activation screen. As i dont have the right code for the copy that is installed at the moment, i would prefer to use my own copy, but everytimne i start up, it just boots to the log in screen, then asks if i want to activate this copy. If i say no, it logs me off
