IAMAPP.exe - Bcont Module Preventing Internet Access
Oct 30, 2005
Yesterday my firewall picked up on an attempted attack on the computer, and since then my internet access has been limited (usually to sixty seconds). My DSL provider's tech support couldn't figure it out, so I'm posting to see if any of you can help. The only thing out of the ordinary that has occurred since the attempt, is the repeated notice that both IAMAPP.exe and bcont module have experienced difficulty, and must shut down. I had never received either message before.
I think that I have a virus which is stopping me from 1) Installing Norton Internet Security 2005 properly, and 2) Stopping me from accessing all anti-virus related sites, for example - www.symantec.com, ww.grisoft.com, www.pandasoftware.com, and when i tried to download AVG 6.0 from another site which was unrelated to antivirus, I found that I could access the site but the download failed.
Could someone please tell me how I can turn off all forms of internet access for a user on my computer. I enabled a content filter to prevent access to all websites; however, the user can still access the web through programs such as Maya and Hudini (computer animation programs). I want to have internet access on all the user accounts with the exception of this one user account
In all cases, it is taking very very long, if at all, for any of the accounts to come up. That is, the icon and account name stay on the screen and the window behind the account never appears.. If the window behind the account does appear, visuscan may or may not complete startup (after minutes). If it does, aim.exe does not. I also have Radio.netscape
I have an xp Home Edition Computer on a wireless network with 3 user accounts. I want to prevent one user (child) from accessing and using one web site. ( AIM.com). I thought of uninstalling AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), but that would not totally resolve the problem. The child can still reconnect to the web and re-download the program again. How can I configure the xp computer to prevent such access and usage of AIM without affecting the privilages from the other users (Adults) to use the same IM?
Is there a way to just let the user access one or 2 program in Xp Pro. For instance, I only want my kids to access internet explorer and that's it. The rest of the Applications and those XP's goodies that are found in the Program are to be hidden. I only want IE to show in the Program or on the desktop. The rest are unaccessible and hidden.
Login in on my computer whatever, I have 4 messages that pop up saying something about csrss.exe and something about .dll or something. I don't know much. I searched on google and it said it was a worm or trojan. I have AVG as a virus scanner, but does not pick up any viruses, and its no good. Whatever this is, it is preventing me from going on the internet. So I dont know what to do. How do I remove this, so I can go on the internet again?
After long periods of my internet connection being idle (2+ hours usually), all programs requiring internet access are unable to connect. By idle I mean I leave to run some errands with no programs other than Zone Alarm running. My DSL modem still has all lights flashing and active. There are a couple other scenarios where this occurs as well. Ex. I'm playing WoW for extended periods but not using the internet through any other program, then upon alt-tabbing no other applications are able to connect to the internet even though WoW is still connected and functioning. Rebooting the router/modem doesn't fix it, but rebooting the comp does.
a pc with windows xp pro suddenly started not to access the internet or the workgroup it normally worked on. ethernet card is present in hardware devices, network connection says it "is there", the IP numbers etc. are all as they were.I have even tried a rollback to the time it worked fine, but no net
computer in my possession crashed, and when i reset, my internet has gone wonky. I use MSN as my ISP, and before, i could access internet explorer, or firefox, or any program without ever actually having to sign in to MSN. after the crash, however, i now have to sign in to access internet explorer, firefox, and a couple programs. what angers me, however, is that i DONT have to sign in to access trillian. Limewire, also, will connect, but wont download anything without msn being logged in. How do i get back to how it was? And no, system restore did not work.
I uninstalled the Nvidia driver, powered down and pulled the card then installed the Radeon card powered up and am now getting these two rundll error messages. Can somebody tell me how to make them go away?
RUNDLL Error Loading C:Program FilesCommon FilesParetoLogicUUS2UUS.dll The specific Module could not be found Don't know what it means. 1st Day-This popped up while writing a letter in Word. 2nd Day-- It popped up while playing Freecell. 3rd Day it popped up while working on genealogy. There seems to be no common thread when it pops up.
I m using windows xp I can't download Yahoo Messenger. A two step process, it gets stuck on the second process. Right after I hit the second "run" button it tells me: "Could not load the DLL library. The specified module could not be found." When I go under system 32 I find a ton of dll files.I am pretty new to computers. I asked a friend who isn't sure and another suggested googling DLL, which is what brought me here. One of the websites said i would find the files in the System 32 folder and so looked in there. Now I am writing you.

I am trying to load SalesLogix CRM software client on a Dell Inspiron 9200 laptop with Windows XP SP2. Everytime SalesLogix opens I get an error report saying SalesLogix.exe had to close and the faulting module was NTDLL.DLL. I tried SalesLogix support but they were of no help. I tried copying in NTDLL.DLL from another computer that SalesLogix is working on but I could not get it to register. Something about DLLRegisterServer entry point not found.
I receive the following error on startup of my laptop (XP SP3 operating system) Error loading C:Windowswftadfi16_080707a.dll The specified module could not be found Is this a major problem? How can it be fixed?
I'm not sure why this error started showing up but every time I reboot my computer I get a box that pops up and says "Error loading M3000Rmv.dll The specified module could not be found." It has an "OK" button and if I click it the message goes away and the computer seems to run just fine.I did some research about this error but everything that was suggested to do, none of it applied to my computer.
I receive this message every time I open Win XP Pro. It also says "The specific module could not be found". I just click OK and continue on, it does not appear to be hindering me in any way. I am curious about any error messages because they might be a problem somewhere in the future.
I just Installed Windows XP X64 onto my desktop PC and cannot access the internet. My graphics is not displaying like it's supposed to, and the sound isn't working. The graphics, and sound I can figure out myself, but the internet I've come to a brick wall. I have a 1394 connection, but there's no local area connection. I'm at a wall, I'm using a linksys router and I get no I.P. address. I've tried going directly from the modem to the PC, and powercycling my modem, and still nothing
I have a problem with a second computer connecting to the internet. I have had my adapter checked and was told it was ok. I have ran the second computer directly into the dsl connection and it still will not allow me to connect to the internet. The only error message I have received is at boot up and it says SymSPort.exe error has occured and needs to close.

Email (outlook express) works fine and Explorer works but programs that need to access the internet like AutoCAD return an error message that there is no internet connection found.
