I have a LOT of programs installed on my computer. When I click START/PROGRAMS the list is so long that I can't see all of the entries. What I would like to do is create groups i.e. Video, Still Photo, Microsoft, etc.

When I click on desktop and select properties to change the desktop wallpaper I have a list of family photographs!I still have the desktop wallpaper folder in windows web folder but how do I put it back into the desktop and remove the ones that are mysteriously there.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been using a my FireLite (Model USBFL840) for a few years on my Toshiba Satellite P25 S526. In the past few months when I connect the firelite to my computer, I get a message that states �the USB mass Storage Device has exceeded the power limits of its hub port.At that moment, the only option is to unplug the device and reset the port.I have 4 high speed USB ports and I�ve tried it on all of them with the same results.
When I go to the start button and click on all programs a screen comes up with all my programs. The problem with this is that I can't see all of my programs. Win XP Pro creates a screen that is not wide enough to display all my programs. My question is there a way to move the left edge of the screen to the left edge on my monitor so I can see all my programs. This screen doesn't go to the left edge of my monitor and you can't just click on the left edge and drag it to the left. It doesn't move. There should be a piece of code that tell XP where to display on screen. Can I get access to this code and move the left edge of this screen to the left as far as possible? I have approximately 115 programs and XP displays 3 columns plus a half of another column that I can only read a few letters in the forth column. Can the width of these columns also be made smaller so that I could view all of them? I'm sure there is a way to do this but I have never seen this problem addressed anywhere.

It used to be in alphabetical order, very nice and neat. Now its like the new ones would line up after, say windows media player. Whats governing how XP manage this kind of stuff. Through registry or some ini files.

When I go in the start menu to programs I have so many that they won't all fit on screen and I can't move the window to view them all. Also I would like to organize them into a smaller number of folders, but I can't do that either.

I'm having some jitter in the capture of video through VIVO that I'm attributing to too many services running at once and using up so much resource. I can see it well enough in the final DVD production being played on a home DVD player that it is annoying. I can easily suspend the usual programs like anti-virus and such but there are a boatload of other services that run. If anyone knows of a program or a list that would indicate to me what services are mandatory.

I've been trying to figure out how some software winds up on this list and other packages don't. i can't find any rhyme or reason to it. i know that you can add items, by going to the file types tab on the folder options, but how packages that you don't add wind up there is a mystery that i'm hoping some one can shed some light on.

When it loaded up I noticed that everything is taking 2x as long to load and it is taking long time to even get the start button list up. I was able to get into the add/remove program list but nothing was there. I waited for about 10 minutes and then nothing still, I don't know any other way to remove McAfee, how to remove McAfee, add/remove program list won't work here.

I've walked her through the process of clicking on View at the top of the Outlook Express Interface and setting the Layout items so that her Contacts and Folder list should be on the screen, but they are not. I've tried everything I can think of to rectify the situation and I've run out of options. The way it is without her folders list she cannot access her deleted folder and her sent folder and cannot delete anything from those folders. Is there anything else I can do to bring up those her contacts list and her folders list?
