I have started to get a random error:Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf7c 4 75b6bf7cIt just pops up and will not clear with the cancel try again or continue buttons.The computer continues to operate with no issues that I can tell The only way to clear it is to restart.
View 8 Repliesmy wife was trying to download pics from her memory card of her camera (sd card) to my computer so that she could burn the pics to a cd. My computer (Gateway GT5016H) has a slot to insert the memory card into the tower of the computer. She inserted the card, retrieved the pics and proceeded to burn them to a cd. When she was done, she shut down the computer.Now evertime i start the compuer i get an error message pop up "windows-no disk" "there is no disk in drive. Please insert disk into drive." I also must click cancel multiple time to get rid of the error message.

It said this problem should be resolved by updating to SP2. Well I have SP2 and I still am receiving this problem. Could there be any other possible problem that could be interferring here.

It will occasionally begin to start up but then will automatically reboot and I will get the Disk boot failure - Insert system disk and press Enter message again. View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm using Windows XP SP2 on this computer, and last night the computer froze while waking up (I don't "shut down" every time, i hibernate the system). I restarted and windows froze again on the startup screen. I restarted in safe mode and ran a disk check (scheduled it for next restart). The system booted up after the disk check completed (it said it found and fixed errors). However, it was dead slow,. I have avira antivir personal(updated with the latest definitions), I ran a full system scan, and it found nothing but a "hidden object". Here's the report:-

View 14 Replies View RelatedI work in a computer lab at a community health center. I just started working there and I realized no one in the building had any of the admin passwords to the computers. I brought in a Windows password reset disc and reset all of the admin passwords. This is when I got the bright idea to install the Adobe creative sweet at work off of my external HD. I only tried this on my computer, and the installation failed. Half of the CS was installed and half wasn't. This seemed to have caused some problems for me.When I attempted to startup the computer, my desktop would load, but some of the icons wouldn't fully load (they were stuck as the default exe icon). I could move my mouse, but when I put the cursor over the Start menu button, all I got was an hour glass. I couldn't click on any of icons at all.
I rebooted into safe mode and it worked perfectly. I tried to remove the CS in add/remove programs, but it failed. I think this is because it wasn't fully installed. I deleted all of the folders I could find (other then flash player and adobe reader), then downloaded the CS4 cleanup script, but this failed to clean up my system as well. When I went back into add/remove programs and tried to uninstall the CS, it said it had already been removed, and it disappeared off the list. Something tells me it isn't fully removed.I tried a selective startup where I turned off all of the startup programs. This seemed to have worked. So I started going back throught the list allowing some of the start up items. I thought that it was the CS4 startup programs that were causing my troubles (which for the most part they were), but now even with ALL startup values disabled, it still freezes.I can use the internet, but if I click on the start menu it takes a while to load. When it finally loads, whether I click off of it or on a program, it disappears and my computer freezes. I can still use my mouse.
My pc takes ages to boot up and when it does it has started to randomly freeze. I've ran various scans such as registry mechanic and spyware doctor and nothing has been found.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI am geting a extremely slow "windows is starting up" usually about 3-6 min then when everything loads up I end up experiencing a lot of locking up and crawling when doing simple tasks like moving files. I only have like 4 programs in the area next to my clock running. I have recently taken my puter to a friend/tech and he cleaned up my puter of the viruses it had and the spy/adware it had, ran some hardware tests and memory tests and claimed everything was fine not the case.my puter shouldnt be experiencing these prob.anyone have a clue? Also I forgot to mention that I checked my sys startup and the main thing that seems to be running the most is the system idle process usually at 99 nothing else seems to be taking anything and there are about 30-35 processes running.

View 6 Replies View Relatedit wasnt problematic when i 1st set it up about a month ago. the startup was defo alot quicker.the system sometimes hangs during a game, it used to hang on startup but i fixed that with system restore in startup because of the slow startup (where it doesnt seem to be actually doing anything! no cpu of mem usage just ages to load startup programs) i used some startup removal programs to delete all unnecessary startup program, it hasnt speeded anything up it takes the same amount of time but just loads less programs.i have also run ccleaner, reg cleaners, tried running ad-aware but never completed a scan as it freezes. i have always had zonealarm pro runing and bitdefender
when powering up it seems to show the blackscreen very often, asking to turn on in safe mode? even when the pc had been shutdown properly. othertimes on powering on the pc hangs on the windows loading page or when enering the password.the pc can also restart randomly during general use or gaming.this is very fustarting and was hoping you guys could give me some of your advice? i was thinking maybe do a system restore to the day when the pc was first built? would this be a really dumb move? what would be the consequences?
I just cleaned out a slightly infection of spyware and viruses on this computer and everything looks nice a clean but unfortunately there seems to be some residual problems.My startup is much slower, the 'loading your personal settings' can take upwards of 2 minutes. But, it can by by-passed by hitting ctrl-alt-del. Once I get to the desktop I notice that Norton Anti-Virus is disabled and it stays disabled until the icons load which ALSO takes another 2-3 minutes. I can open programs and they run fine but I am unable select anything on the desktop or right click on it.
I've never had slowdown like this on here before. It also only seems to be happening on this one windows account, the other ones load up much faster. I've cleaned it the best I can running all the normal apps and some other cleaners. Even tried restoring the desktop back to the windows xp default appearance.
So I know that the folders in the C: are system folders but what if they are not in a folder and are out side of any folder. I have many files that are random that I can not open. How can I differ what they are and I can delete them? I am down to only 2% on my memory on C: and that is not normal. So any thing I can do?????
View 1 Replies View RelatedOk this problem started about 2 weeks ago when my windows xp wouldnt load it go to the loading screen but the progress bar just continued to act as if loading but windows never came on . Eventually after several restarts windows loaded but this continues to happen randomly. Also my computer keeps freezing and I get random disk read errors I have run a check on the hard drive and ram and both these seem to be working ok I have also run several spy ware and antiviruses can anybody help
View 14 Replies View RelatedI had admilli on my computer and i had run Hijackthis and deleted it from my pc.after this, my memory has began to fall dromatically randomly! i dnt hav much room on my pc but i had 256MB and it had gone down to 32MBi had then searched for files over 10MB and found that there was BLOB files that were 118MB each. i deleted them..I get back on my computer and then i had 20Mb left!!the Blob File reappeared.but i think that this storage loss is not due from this file.

My computer (three times tonight alone!) has just randomly re-started while I'm in the middle of work. When it comes back, it tells me that the system just recovered from a series error. When I report it, I'm taken to a Microsoft page about Windows Service Pack 2 and updating my driver. I've checked and I have SP2 and when I try to update the driver it tells me they couldn't find a better match than what I'm already using.
I've checked System Information and automatic restart isn't even checked yet this has happened a lot. Like I said, three times tonight it's happened. I've run my virus scanner, I've run Ad-aware SE Personal, SpySweeper, and Spybot and anything that comes back and is quarantined or deleted hasn't fixed the problem.
as i run internet explorer there are times where some websites may not respond, and after i close the window i occasionally i recieve error reports. i have windows XP and i have run ad-aware and spybot search and destroy.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a HP 705w with 1024 ram ,mx400 nvidia vid card,realtec sound and fast Ethernet.At any given time my cpu restarts.It has done this while on and off line and msg in event log is ID 6009 widows universal processer free -when i look error up it says user has hit ctrl ,alt+delete or went to shut down to restart computer but I have not.I have ran Norton AV+MCafee AV(Unistalled ea before running the other).I have ran Superantispyware and Adaware but nothing has been found.I have checked and updated all drivers + Bios.I have ran a Ram tester-checks out fine.I have ran scandisk-again no issues.I have went to recovery options and unchecked autorestart.My PC is on a home network with 2 other cpus and have found no strange incoming or outgoing in my router logs.I have spent hours researching this and consulted 2 of my friends which are IT pros and we are all clueless.
View 11 Replies View RelatedTrying to help my daughter with her computer. Every once in a while (sometime twice in a day, sometime not for several days in a row) she hears her computer rebooting. Even when she has nothing open and not even using it - just a desktop open. Created a system restore point before started all this. The computer reboots and gives the following error message: "The System has recovered from a serious error", then she can click Send to Microsoft, or don't send. She clicks don't send and everything words just fine, her applications run fine, email and Internet work fine. This doesn't happen very often, but something is not right. Not much to gone on but that's all that happens.The computer is nice and fast, boots up fast, everything runs nice and fast. Internet and email work fine.This started a few months ago and she can't remember doing anything that would cause it to start. She has not installed any software or hardware in over a year or so. I did a complete backup right away so her files are backed up and safe.
Thought it sounded like a heat issue so I opened the case and she had it very, very clean. Fan and heatsink very clean and fan working fine as well as the other fan in the case. I checked the hard drive cables (SATA 250 gig HD) and they were nice and tight. Reseated the memory modules just in case one crept lose. check CD/DVD drive cable and it was tight. Cleaned out her temporary Internet (cache) files.Next, I clicked on My Computer then highlighted the C: drive and right clicked the C: drive and selected Properties. Then selected Tools and was going to select Defrag button but it was greyed out and said "No defragment tool is installed. I then opened the Control Panel and click the Add/Remove programs icon and once that opened I selected the Open Windows Components and it opened fine, but I couldn't find anywhere in there to install the Windows Defragment program. Am I looking in the right place for this?
When the PC restarts it generates and sends an error report, which indicates a Graphics Device driver is the problem.My PC behaved ok until about a month ago, when it started crashing, in general with an error report saying 'Error caused by Graphics driver'.The system gradualy got more unstable until it would not boot properly at all.I have recently re-installed windows and upgraded to SP2.After this re-installation, the problem started again.
