Tell me where to find and download an ethernet driver for a Gateway 2002 model 300L desktop? Or walk me through checking out whether this option has been turned off or never enabled. I had used a USB cable for Comcast HSI, and now have a wireless router wired in for my new laptop.

I have installed XP on my sisters Laptop which is a Gateway Model: ML6228 because she did not like Vista on there. Now I was looking on the Gateway site for Network Drivers for this model and the only one they had was for Vista only, Network Downloads

I'm writing this from my work computer, because I've totally messed up my Dell Dimension 8250 running XP Pro).I combined my dual OS computer into only one large partition and Fdisked(wiped out my OS(s) on my primary hard drive, in an attempt to reinstall on XP OS for my computer.To make a long story as short as I can, I removed(Fdisk) and "clean installed" my XP Pro OS from Dell's XP installation disk on my unpartitioned primary hard drive, But I can NOT connect to my ISP or the internet because I lost the driver CD and can't connect to the internet to download and install then.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 2000 Professional on my a20p IBM thinkpad.Just tried installing a driver for the ethernet card in the laptop.Installed the driver, restarted the computer, and everything is hunky-dory until.I go to the device manager and it still says a Question Mark next to Ethernet Controller.
I Was wonering if any one could help me find a driver for a windows 2000pro. However, installing the driver for Ethernet controller didn't work from toshiba.com. Realtek ethernet is listed and working in device manager. I have been to the packard bell support/drivers site and found 5 out of 7 missing drivers. I had tried the suggested site previously but when i clicked on download products i kept getting a "server not found message". Tried it yesterday again and it worked so thanks to the people who suggested that. Problem now is I am still missing my ethernet controller driver and my multimedia controller driver. I dont know the exact device details in order to download the two missing drivers. to tracking down the ethernet and multimedia controller. I have downloaded and installed the multimedia driver from the Pack Bell Imedia 3082 site but still it is yellow with exclamation mark. And i still cant connect to my Belkin router. So in brief: I need the device details to my ethernet controller and multimedia controller so that i can track down the drivers.

I now have the router in my room using the Ethernet hole on my new MSI K8T Neo2-F V2.0 Motherboard, but every time I try and download a file it is corrupted. Even though I have deleted the Microsoft Money program, every time I get onto or do something on the Internet I get a message that Windows Installer is searching for Microsoft Money 2002 System Pack. The it comes back and says "Error 1606. Could not access network location..." Since Microsoft no longer supports this 2002 System Pack, I can't seem to totally disable this continual search for an update. how to disable/delete or whatever to get rid of this annoying reaccurance?

My problem is with the "Slide Layout" sidebar menu on the right side of the screen: none of the options for slide layout or design, or templates or anything at all show up? I have also had the same problem with other supplementary menus for other office applications not showing up properly. For instance, in excel, when i go to the Insert menu, and select Object, the menu that comes up is completely blank. The problem is that all of the option are actually in the menu and can be clicked on, however it is a process of trial and error to pick the right option. Do you know what is going on? Do you know why the menu options are not showing up. I downloaded Sp3 for office 2002, is there something else I need to download to fix this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy daughter is traying to set acces to her job's Exchange Server using Outlook 2002 SP3. But had no success so she asked me to help, but I could not get it to work either. Her OS is Win XP Pro SP2.I go to Control Panel -Mail -Accounts- Email Accounts and click on to set a new account for Microsoft Exchange Server.In that panel I enter the name of the server.server. and her user name it asks to check the name and I click on and it brings up an error message thet it could not connect to the server that no connection could be established and that I need to connect to the internet. I know we are connected since it is a DSL connection she has. Also checked for More Settings but nothing in there indicates that I need additional info for a connection.I also tried to go through the HTTP set up and it to no avail. However if I just open the browser explorer and enter that HTTP address I can connect with no trouble at all to her logon page.
