The attached is a screen shot of PowerPoint. My problem is with the "Slide Layout" sidebar menu on the right side of the screen: none of the options for slide layout or design, or templates or anything at all show up? I have also had the same problem with other supplementary menus for other office applications not showing up properly. For instance, in excel, when i go to the Insert menu, and select Object, the menu that comes up is completely blank. The problem is that all of the option are actually in the menu and can be clicked on, however it is a process of trial and error to pick the right option. Do you know what is going on? Do you know why the menu options are not showing up. I downloaded Sp3 for office 2002, is there something else I need to download to fix this?
I want to reinstall Window XP on my computer. I have Microsoft office 2002 installed, but I don't have the installation CD.How can I reinstall Microsoft office after I reinstall Windows XP without the CD?
I just noticed, when trying to do my daughters homework, that I no longer have the Office Folder or Short Cut. It must have disappeared as a result of my work done on this machine after it was impacted by Malware VX2. That is the only thing I can think of. I cant locate the Office discs so I cant reload. If I find a WORD document, I can open it and use WORD. HOW CAN I RESTORE THE TOOL BAR in Windows XP without the Office disc?
Since installing Office 2007 (over Office 2000) recently, I often encounter delays in opening Office 2000 Word files. Furthermore, I am sometimes unable to open them unless I move them to a 'trusted' directory. So I defined a trusted directory, moved the file(s) there, and can work. But when I just now tried to open an Office 2000 Word file, I received a different error message, namely ' You are attempting to open a file type that is blocked by your registry policy setting.', with instructions to disable the restriction via regedit. When I looked at the registry data, there was no 'Office' tab whatsoever under the Microsoft tab beneath Policies. So I'm unable to edit the registry to 'unblock' access to such legacy files.
Here is my problem - when I enter the control panel to add/remove programs, the list pouplates but I am unable to change or remove programs as the change or remove tabs are completely missing. All it shows is size and used (how often) info. Most of the programs don't even show this info until I click on them, but again, no change or remove tabs are there. Can anyone help here? Additionally, it appears that a lot of uninstallers are missing from my start menu apps...
I recently installed Microsoft Office 2007 and it was working fine for a week, now i get this message when i try to use Microsoft Word saying "This modification is not allowed because the selection is locked" And when I try to uninstall the whole program it says that 'setup can not continue because a file is missing or corrupt'

Since Microsoft no longer supports this 2002 System Pack, I can't seem to totally disable this continual search for an update. how to disable/delete or whatever to get rid of this annoying reaccurance?

I'm using Outlook 2002 in XP Home. There seems to be options to modify the fonts for the appointments, but no option I can find to change the default font for the list of tasks as they appear in the "Day Week/Month" view. Is there a way to change the size of that font?
My daughter is traying to set acces to her job's Exchange Server using Outlook 2002 SP3. But had no success so she asked me to help, but I could not get it to work either. Her OS is Win XP Pro SP2.I go to Control Panel -Mail -Accounts- Email Accounts and click on to set a new account for Microsoft Exchange Server. In that panel I enter the name of the server.server. and her user name it asks to check the name and I click on and it brings up an error message thet it could not connect to the server that no connection could be established and that I need to connect to the internet. I know we are connected since it is a DSL connection she has. Also checked for More Settings but nothing in there indicates that I need additional info for a connection.I also tried to go through the HTTP set up and it to no avail. However if I just open the browser explorer and enter that HTTP address I can connect with no trouble at all to her logon page.
How do I minimize Outlook 2002 to the system tray? You can use the registry to minimize Outlook 2002 to the system tray by performing the following steps: Start the registry editor (regedit.exe). Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice10.0OutlookPreferences. From the Edit menu, select New, DWORD value. Enter a name of MinToTray. Double-click the new value, and set it to 1. My computer, actually both of my computers, have been running extremely slow lately and they have so much junk on them that I want to get off. I know that just removing them and deleting files will not solve anything seeing as the hard drive is never fully deleted, but i have heard that there is a way of reformating your hard drive. My goal is to put my computers back into the condition they were when I first bought them. I have a Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 2, and I would be really thankful if someone could help me put my computer back to the way it was. I am not at all interested in keeping personal files or anything on my computer, I just want the computer exactly the way it was when I first bought it with the programs that were already preinstalled still in it.

The most recent update to Office XP, which is SP3, will not install on my system via the automatic update system. Everything seems to proceed normally... the update downloads, and then I launch the installation, but at the end I get an error screen that says "Updates were unable to be successfully installed" and no other error codes or messages. I tried running the update with my CD in the CD drive, but it didn't help.

I have tried to look into it a couple different ways and haven't gotten anywhere. I need to be able to get into add/remove programs so I can uninstall MS Office and reistall a new copy with valid license. Note:

I uninstalled Office 2003 because I was having problems with Outlook. When I try to reinstall I get the message "The System Adminsitrator has set polcies to prevent this installation" I am running XP Professional and am the only user on this home computer. It is not on a network. I know this is an old problem, as I looked it up on Google. I did try to fix it by going to the local security policy and changing settings. This did not work. I am not familiar with "registries" and am hesitant to try anything in that area.
