Original running program on my computer when purchased was windows vista. Im a graphic designer and my programs had issues, so my tech changed my system to xp. I'm trying to go wireless with an ethernet hook-up and there's no connection. Upon looking further into, I cannot find the driver. Is there one out there that I can download for free

I reinstalled windows xp. im missing my ethernet controller, multimedia audio controller, video controller (vga compatible). i'm using ASUS Motherboard model is P4 P800-VM. i lost my motherboadr cd. i have downloaded audio driver and VGA from ASUS site it works well. but i also tryed the LAN driver from ASUS site but it did not has setup files, so i dont have idea how to istall it. but i have downloaded different supposed drivers of Ethernet controller from various sites and installed in my PC but it did not work. As you can guess without my ethernet controller i have no internet acces plz help. Im using a Net cafe right now trying to fix my computer

However, installing the driver for Ethernet controller didn't work from toshiba.com. Realtek ethernet is listed and working in device manager. This ethernet controller with yellow question mark maybe from the wireless card? The wireless xp utility is not in the system tray. I have an atheros internal wireless card. This is a Toshiba Satellite A25-s2792 laptop
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new hp media center pc m7750n that came witih vista installed. I have put xp back on it twice. The first time was just xp home.the second was xp64 corporate edition. both times after i ntsall i can not see my ethernet connection. i have tried using the connection wizard to no avail. Im assuming imight need a motherboard drriver but dont know where to find the one i need. also im puttting xp on a seperate hd and im having trouble using both at the same time. it says bootmgr missing when i install the xp drive. even though when i installed xp on the drove with the vista drive unplugged it work fine to begin with, now even though i unplugged the vista drive it still says that. im assuming i can repair the installation. my main worry though is the ethernet connection.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm writing this from my work computer, because I've totally messed up my Dell Dimension 8250 running XP Pro).I combined my dual OS computer into only one large partition and Fdisked(wiped out my OS(s) on my primary hard drive, in an attempt to reinstall on XP OS for my computer.To make a long story as short as I can, I removed(Fdisk) and "clean installed" my XP Pro OS from Dell's XP installation disk on my unpartitioned primary hard drive, But I can NOT connect to my ISP or the internet because I lost the driver CD and can't connect to the internet to download and install then.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 2000 Professional on my a20p IBM thinkpad.Just tried installing a driver for the ethernet card in the laptop.Installed the driver, restarted the computer, and everything is hunky-dory until.I go to the device manager and it still says a Question Mark next to Ethernet Controller.
I Was wonering if any one could help me find a driver for a windows 2000pro. I have been to the packard bell support/drivers site and found 5 out of 7 missing drivers. I had tried the suggested site previously but when i clicked on download products i kept getting a "server not found message". Tried it yesterday again and it worked so thanks to the people who suggested that. Problem now is I am still missing my ethernet controller driver and my multimedia controller driver. I dont know the exact device details in order to download the two missing drivers. to tracking down the ethernet and multimedia controller. I have downloaded and installed the multimedia driver from the Pack Bell Imedia 3082 site but still it is yellow with exclamation mark. And i still cant connect to my Belkin router. So in brief: I need the device details to my ethernet controller and multimedia controller so that i can track down the drivers.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm running windows xp pro...i'm trying to install an ethernet card and a box comes up asking for the windows cdrom to look for drivers it needs...problem is i don't have my copy of windows xp...is there a place on the computer that i can browse to find what it's looking for...i guess i'm asking if when windows xp pro is installed does it copy everything to the computer in a file somewhere. otherwise i don't know if it would be better just to buy another ethernet card or if i would have the same problem. i do have the floppy that came with the ethernet card but it says the file i need is not on the floppy...?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just got a phone plug in my room so I do not have to use my USB adaptor for my wireless broadband as it keeps losing the signal. I now have the router in my room using the Ethernet hole on my new MSI K8T Neo2-F V2.0 Motherboard, but every time I try and download a file it is corrupted. I have tried many different file just in case it was that. This did not work so I tried using my USB adopter and every thing downloads fine again. I did have XP and Vista on my PC, But I removed Vista ( I dont want it back just yet) I had the problem with Missing NTLDR and i fixed that, Now it says Bootmgr is missing press ctrl + alt + del to restart.I have used the good results at Gooooooogle and from what i have found its a vista thing with bootmgr.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI bought a faulty laptop off my friend assuming that it just needed a fresh install off Vista, I installed Vista and now on bootup i get the error saying a file is missing, the file is usually "winload.exe" but can sometimes be other files which I cant remember the name of. Some times Vitsa will load up fine and the laptop would be perfect, but 90% percent of the time i got this error, whichis really boggling me.
I then tried to do a fresh install of XP, during the install I get a blue error screen, saying there is something wrong with my hardware and to run fdisk on my hard drive. I couldnt do this due to not being able to boot up so I bought a fresh new hard drive trying to fix the problem. I installed this HD and started the XP installation again, I am still getting the error message and I am stumped on what to try next.
I installed Windows Vista on My XP macin, but on another hard drive, I checked it out and then after a while I reformated the HD, and removed Windows Vista from the boot.ini, making my XP set as the default. With Vista removed from my hard drive, well for some reason every time I boot my XP system I have to choose the XP system. If I do not make it before the 30 secons I get a message that the operating system is missing.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have started to rebuild my desktop as it has become slow. I purchased the PC with windows XP professional and have the sticker in on the box with the license key. However, I used a Windows Genuine Advantage Kit for Windows XP professional disk to rebuild. When it asked me for the Product Key I entered the code on the chassis but it says this is not valid. I received an email with the Product Key for WGA disk but I do not have the email anymore with the yellow product key although the WGA box does have the Certificate of Authentication on it.c, how do I get another copy of the email with the Product key or get to a point where the product key.
