May 24, 2005Get the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH if you change the motherboard. How to do it and boot into windows so that I don't lose any information on the hard drive?

Blue Screen Shown After Start Up
Nov 9, 2007Computer started running slow and then locked up for no reason. Upon trying to reboot, I got a boot disk error, then a ntldr error. After running my setup disks I get the blue screen Stop: 0x0000007f ( 0x00000)unexpected_kernel_mode_trap.

I can't boot at all, when i try safe mode a list of files appear but it never boot. I read online some other peoples similar issues and the mention of the game toca race driver 3. i installed that game 2 years ago and recall it never uninstalled properly.

I tryed to start in Safe Mode, Last Known Good Config. when I attempt to start inn safe mode I receive this message: PAGE _FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA. Feb 11, 2009System has been shutting down and restarting up on its own, it has done this three times, i looked back at anything new i have done recently and all the i can think of was i deleted Open Office, i received a error message saying if i delete it some programs may not operate correctly. Also i tried to delete Windows messenger Live in the the control panel under add remove windows components i deleted internet explorer by mistake and had to reinstall it. The last time it didn't shut down but i got a blue screen that said Windows has detected a software or hardware problem and has shut down to prevent damage,check any new hardware or software that have been recently installed, the error massage was " IRQL_NOT LESS_OR_ EQUAL. I am running IBM pentium 4 windows XP.

When I went to change the Virtual Memory settings so it will use this partition, I got a blue screen and had to reboot. I kept working with it and finally got it to accept 100 MB for the lowest and 1400 for the highest setting. However, after reading more, I think the 100 MB should have been higher. Apr 24, 2005Today, I tried to start up my XP computer; it gets to a splash screen saying that the motherboard is optimised for the Intel-P4 combination (which always pops up after POST and before the system boots up) and it just stopped. Rebooting encounters the same problem.I can't boot from floppy, CD, or DVD drives, and cannot get to the BIOS setup (hitting the appropriate key just gives me a blinking cursor on a black screen with which I can't type).There is obviously something seriously wrong, but it's beyond my very limited skills.

Mar 11, 2006Recently, my laptop hasn't been shutting down properly. Whenever I go to turn it off it doesn't respond, so you have to keep going to start-turn off-turn off over and over again. The situation is I've got a computer running XP, but the hard drive is a little too small. I had a larger hard drive in my 98 machine and I've slaved that drive and installed it in this computer. I've moved everything I need to the C drive temporarily and I want to reformat the D drive to wipe out everything on it. Nov 30, 2007My Dell Inspiron 2650 laptop on boot-up consistently gives a blue screen with ERROR (0X000000ED (0X81ACA988, 0XC0000006,0X00000000,0X00000000). I have read most of your fixes BUT in my case no matter what I do it ALWAYS boots to this screen. Trying to boot to Safe Mode results in a list of drivers prefixed by ?multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)c:windowsdriver.sys etc The machine will not boot from Floppy or CD and I?ve tried every combination of boot sequence under the F12 menu. In the BIOS it will not allow me to change any relevant settings, only the ?system date?, ?system time? and ?quiet boot?.and I cannot select the dropdown menu items either. Booting under Normal Startup, I see the Windows Logo and all that, but then the blue screen appears. I?ve tried removing the hard disk to get it to boot to floppy, removing the battery (which is totally dead), memory module, etc. Only thing left I think is to sling it in the Caribbean Ocean and go drink a bottle of rum.

beginning dump of physical memory dumping physical memory to disk: and counts up to 100 then the computer restarts. i was able to get into safe mode to try a system restore but when the computer restarted it never finished the install (it actually gave me the confirmation that the restore was successful while i was doing a repair install later on) i have tried going through the windows install disc repair utility and doing a chkdsk /p and a chkdsk /r upon doing /r it froze at 53 percent and did not move (i left it for a good 4 hours the first time before restarting it.. and then over night the second time.. and both times it never passed 53 percent............
