Mcafee security came with my pc as a trial. I don't like mcafee and don't want mcafee, how do i totally remove it? if i try to remove it using add & remove i end up receiving error messages in outlook. I have tried contacting mcafee but can't even get them to reply (just 1 reason why i don't like mcafee).

When it loaded up I noticed that everything is taking 2x as long to load and it is taking long time to even get the start button list up. I was able to get into the add/remove program list but nothing was there. I waited for about 10 minutes and then nothing still, I don't know any other way to remove McAfee, how to remove McAfee, add/remove program list won't work here.

When I go to add remove programs and try to remove it, it won't let me because it says I have a component missing or not installed right. Mcafee runs out tomorrow and want to use the one AOL has. How do I go about getting this program out. The one aol has won't work as long as mcafee is installed. I have deleted all messages from the box. Also if I look in "Local Drive (C)" and in folder "Outlook Express Stored Folder" it shows the following "microsoft.public.windowsxp.help and support.dbx" at 267,707 kb I am getting messages to compress files to get more space. Can I delete the folder "microsoft.public.windowsxp.help and support.dbx"? And will it automatically be replaced. I also use "Catch Up" , Sync setting are set for "New Messages Only"

I have succesfully uninstalled other components of McAfee, like the spamkiller and firewall, but can't get rid of this last bit, which I need to do to install my new software. I've also tried uninstalling from the start menu but no option comes up under the programme list.
