And there are errors in movies that I have ripped (because I either forget to put them back in the case or they get lost) some movies and whenever I try to move the video file (ripped int a AUDI0_TS file and a VIDEO_TS file) I have an error box where the title of the window in the blue bar says "Error Copying File or Folder" and in the window (the gray part) it says "Cannot copy VTS_01_2" Data error (cyclic redundancy check).". And then I click the "OK" button and it stops the transfer. The VTS_01_2 is sometimes replaced with whatever file that cannot be transferred or that is causing the problem. I used DVDShrink and DVD43 to back them up. I am running Windows XP sp3 and transferring them onto a 300 GB hard drive.

A number of files will copy prior to the error occurring. The error occurs when the copying process reaches a file that my Trend Micro security software had identified as a virus and had quarantined.
Instead of simply skipping the file that cannot be copied and moving to the next, Windows Explorer displays the error "Error copying file: cannot read from source or disk" and aborts the copying process, leaving the copying process only partially complete. Copying each folder or file individually to avoid encountering the error would be very time consuming.
Computer is running way too slow.. switching to local intranet instead of internet and when i tried to run PCPitstop's diagnostics i got the following message: The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and microsoft windows applications.

After migrating my win xp pro system to a bigger hard drive using the Western Digital tools, everytime I try to empty the Recycle Bin, an error dialog pops up stating Error Deleting File or Folder: Access Denied..When I explore the Recycle Bin folder, it's empty. XP-Pro, SP2, Pen4,Internal Drive;Using the Windows default copier, I can burn DVDs from my video files using the DVD-RW drive, but I can't burn CDs from my photo file. If my burner burns videos onto DVDs shouldn't it burn pictures onto CDs too, it's the same drive. Until recently the burner did burn both types of files. I can't determine why it will no longer burn photographs.

I formatted the root drive C: so viruses can be removed, but still it doesnt install. Whenever the setup is copying files it stucks on 56% and then gives an error that the file is missing press enter to retry or esc to skip. I pressed enter 5 or 6 times and then it gives error pfn_chk_list and my computer restarts. The problem was that my xp was running fine the other day but then i saw a error physical dump memory error. After that the windows was booting but wasnt showing any startup screen and kept constantly restarting. So i thought it would be best to format my 400gb western digital hard drive and try again, but the copying error came again. I have made four partitions of my hdd.Please give me a solution to this and reply as soon as possible.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently reformatted due to slowing of my computer and things have been great, playing alot of Battlefield 2142 and it looks amazing on my rig, however today I was playing and things were going excruciatingly show, and eventually just stopped. I had to unplug it and turn it back on. I noticed problems immediately after XP loaded up and got on my user. Resolution was to a minumum, my AIM, Steam, and just about everything crashed and gave me the error report message. Everytime I load AIM or Firefox(IE too), it gives me an error report screen, however there really isn't a problem, i just move the error window to the corner of my screen and I'm able to browse freely.
