I ran a scan with AVG and during the scan it found "Adware.BiSpy". That sound ominous. It recommended I "Ignore Once". I decided to delete it instead.
But when I go to delete, A grey box pops up that says:
" WARNING: C:WINDOWSsystem32C55bLs.dll/bi.dll cannot be removed because it is embedded in the archive C:WINDOWSsystem32C55bLs.dll. Do you want to remove the whole archive?"
Just got rid of McAfee since they have doubled on their prices from last year.Any other suggestion on what to buy or get for free?

I was wondering what others of you used for anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewalls etc.I have heard that sometimes it's not the best idea to use a complete package, like ZA internet security suite, for the whole lot You hear a lot of conflicting info about them all, I've heard that AVG is good, Norton isn't, someone said windows defender was good.

View 6 Replies View RelatedHow I thought this was a Nero problem but I Have just uninstalled one version of Nero 6.6.0.8 and replaced with my bros earlier version 6.6.0.3 both original discs.This problem is also seen on Clone DVD2.I am now convinced this is a Windows problem.This is whats happening.I am unable to copy DVD's with Nero whether they are Video/MP3 files.Every time I click on copy I receive a warning "disc capacity not big enough".I had the same problem 4 years ago with totally different equipment and totally different software and I remember wiping the hard drive to solve it.(which is not the way I want to go)I have Nero 6 Ultra Edition Version 6.6.0.8 installed ( Now 6.6.0.3 )

When either program reads C:/windows/I386 it intermittently powers down. I think there's a corrupt file in the main body of I386, but can't isolate it. I'm not sure which type of file should be in this area.

The funny thing is, nothing pops up, does not re-direct.. And this is weird but all the sudden some gibberish sounds start playing... Sounds like multiple audio into one. I am in IT business, so I tried finding the source in Task manager, fully scanned for worms/trojans, you name it, and nothing was found!!This issue also locks up my IE, and I need to kill it... These transfers would be between 4-5 individuals to start. I am considering
the FTP protocol. Can anyone recommend good host sites (I am looking at GoDaddy.com and a couple of others) plus what is a good program to prepare and send/receive these files? Another problems is the amount of spam/virus filters now being put in place almost everywhere. Our tranfers will xontain some .exe files and that causes most of these filters to declare them a virus or at least suspicious.

Anti Spyware v Beta 1 and Ad-Aware SE. I have run them all numerous times
and the last time I ran As-Aware, it didn't find anything I've taken our
over 600 bugs. After all of that, when I connect to my ISP either FireFox or
IE, the screen goes crazy with adware screens and I get continuous IE errors.
I have all the MS updates.
I've been having tons of trouble trying to remove spyware and adware from my computer, I've tried multiple different programs but have been unable to clean them all out.

I had some malware or adware that I got rid of , I think. In the process, I may have made a mess of things and now I have this blue screen appearing regularly with the message: "page_fault_in_nonpaged_ area " along with some instructions to disable bios memory options such as caching and shadowing and it often reloads. There are also some 0x00000050 type numbers that change each time.I also upgraded to service pack 3 with no change.I can usually hit function 8 and I am back in business unless I let the machine sit idle when the blue screen reappears. I reinstalled XP with no different results.
