I ran my up-to-date antispyware program (spy sweeper) and antivirus (norton), and while it did get rid of a few things, the message still pops up.
Clicking on the popup takes me to the site in the attachment.

I experiance this problem mostly when i'm gaming so it makes me think that whats causing it could be an overheating issue. anyway in the middle of a game the computer will just restart and when windows loads it says Windows has just recovered from a critical error.
When i logon my pc reboot it self. A message comes up. PC recovered from a critical error.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo this week MS released a critical update for IE6. The IE update failed on my machine.I submitted a trouble ticket via MS online portal which is free if a failure or anomaly occurs during a windows update. Yes, I gave permission for the MS portal to extract certain files. At the moment I am disinclined to download IE7 as my 99% preference4 is Firefox save for Windows and Office updates which require IE.Here is the response from MS.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn bootup I receive the error message "Critical Status-the Raid 1 array needes to be duplicated to ensure data consistancy." When I try and "Duplicate Now" it starts and then I receive another error, "Duplicating error!! The array is not functional."If I ignore the error message and continue to boot the system (XP Pro) it cotinues to boot normally. This happens every time.My question is: Should I try on bootup to remove the Raid array and then reinstall the array to clear the problem and in doing so, would I lose or cause harm to my hard drive(s) data?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have windows xp, i have avg antivirus and have run the tests in pc pitstop and done a regular search thru windows for the Trojan-Dropper.VBS.Inor.cz but can't locate it on my pc. My IE browser freezes everytime i go to a particular site and yet when i ask if anyone else has trouble with that site only a very few people say yes. The solution they give me is to download Mozilla and use it for that site. That doesn't protect me from the trojan completely infecting me does it? Can anyone tell me how to delete this trojan?

View 13 Replies View RelatedI am running Win XP-SP2. I wiped my hard drive due to irresolvable software conflicts. I reinstalled XP-SP2, Office, Norton, the printer and scanner and my digital camera software package. All were updated and working perfectly until Sunday. I booted up the machine only to get a warning that says One of your disks may have errors let the computer reboot itself (which it will do repeatedly, stuck in a reboot loop) or you can hit any key to ignore this warning. You have only ten seconds to read all this and make a decision.
Once the computer boots up, everything seems to work as normal except for system restore. I tried to restore to the day after I reformatted and installed everything and all I get is an error saying Cannot restore to that point, please choose another point to restore tooor something to that effect.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am running Windows XP Pro, Word 2003, browsers: Firefox or IE6 in an HP e-pc 40 with Intel Celeron processor, 256MB RAM. Recently, I installed Belarc Advisor. Yesterday I did another scan and it revealed there is a critical update KB929969. In Microsoft's downloads, the closest I am able to come for a system needing an update of this number is Windows 2000 - which I don't have. Apparently, it's some sort of security update for IE6. Does anyone have any type of useful information for me? I would hate to think my system is vulnerable to some type of malware - been there, done that.
View 4 Replies View RelatedKeep getting "Firefox has encountered a problem and needs to close." (Firefox annoyingly then shuts down) message after I start a search in either Google or Yahoo. This problem is new; just started after the November MS critical updates were installed last week. Google and Yahoo continue to work in IE. What security changes has Microsoft made that seems to only affect Firefox? My OS is Windows XP Pro with SP2 and I'm using the latest version of Firefox. How do I fix this problem? It is very annoying to have to switch to IE every time I want to do a search using Google or Yahoo.
