Old Themes Cannot Deleted
Nov 9, 2013I installed old themes for a while , then deleted ,every time I find this themes came back again in background.
I don't know how I delete it and not appear again.

Apr 14, 2014I have a windows 8.1 laptop and I'm trying to install this theme to it right now. I'm new to custom themes but I've already used UxStyle to patch and ran the RIbbon Disabler as per the instructions. However, for some reason, whenever I install themes all I get is the basic colors that the theme is supposed to be, as if I just went under the personalize settings and changed the window color to white. There are no rounded windows as shown in the image and the minimize, restore down, and close buttons look the same as always (in the picture they are shown as grey & red circles). I'm probably missing something because I'm so new to this, but I've followed the basic instructions for installing themes.

Sep 15, 2014I recently deleted a user account, and clicked yes to also delete all associated files...the user was successfully deleted, however, the user's folders/files remain, and cannot be deleted. Is it possible to associate that user's folder with a new user's login? If not, what needs to be done in order to delete the remaining user folder?

Mar 11, 2014I recently partitioned my Asus ROG G750JW into 2 main parts: One 300GB for a mackintosh, and one 6** (remaining space) for windows 8. That worked fine, until I tried to format what I thought was random partition with a size of 128MBs. I believe this to be the EFI partition, and you know what that does. I cannot boot to windows 8 or mac, and windows boot manager no longer shows up in BIOS. I have a windows 8 reinstall disk and the hackintosh install disk. When trying to refresh from the windows reinstall disk, I get an error saying that the disk is locked. What I need to know is if there is any way to restore this without erasing my hard drive. I do not have access to a windows computer (I can if I have to, but it wouldn't be ideal), but do have access to a mac. I don't have restore points, even if I did they are on the now one-huge partition, which by the way is listed as MBR format.

Jan 29, 2014My problem is that all my thumbnails that would normally show as the actual picture in any file or folder including ones saved to the desktop have all been replaced with a windows generic mountain and sun cartoon. The only way I can see what any individual picture file is ...is to physically click on it and open it up in a viewer. This is a royal pain to try to find any individual picture to say the least.

Deleted Fast Boot Options?
Sep 15, 2014I accidentally deleted my Fast Boot boot options and when I enable it my laptop restarts and shows the BIOS, without booting into my system(s). However, when I enable CSM boot it gives me option of booting into my systems. I want to restore my Fast Boot options so my laptop boots up faster and basically because my laptop is made for Fast Boot.

Jul 27, 2014After seeing a couple files permanently delete at unseasonable moments, I now at least enabled deletion confirmation messages. The bug is with the HDD I use for storage, the SSD hosting the OS works according to the recycle bin settings. I tried the classic subterfuge of switching these settings back and forth for both drives, without success though. This is a new installation of 8.1 Pro for me and I think making deletion without confirmation the default behavior was bad move.

Jul 24, 2014I accidently deleted the desktop folder that holds most things like documents, downloads, google drive, dropbox, etc. I checked the recycle bin but it's now there. I searched on C drive and, of course, it's not there. I found it or something similar in File Explorer (but with a new name I believe). I copied the entire folder to the desktop. Now, when I add something to dropbox (one of the folders in the folder I deleted) the document is in dropbox on their website, but not in dropbox in the folder on the desktop that I just copied to. So....
How do I locate the folder I accidently deleted that originally contained many important files (e.g., AppData, contacts, Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Dropbox, favorites.... music, pictures) etc.?
I was in the process of "sending to" the information from the original desktop folder to Dropbox as a backup - when the computer hiccupped or whatever and instead of clicking send to, clicked delete. Mar 2, 2014I used Acronis to delete all partitions on my Surface Pro. So there is no recovery, C drive, nothing at all. Just a blank SSD drive without any partitions. Now the Surface Pro refuses to boot to any of my USB sticks so I can clean install an OS like I wanted to do. I've verified both of my USB sticks are boot able, as I'm able to boot my desktop computer to them in order to install an OS. But when I try to boot the Surface Pro Gen1 to the USB stick, I get a quick squiggly screen and then I'm dumped right into the system BIOS. I've made sure to power off the Surface Pro, then hold down volume- while pressing the power button, then releasing volume- after seeing the Surface splash screen. But it never goes to any sort of boot menu or anything. Just takes me right into the EFI BIOS.

Jul 2, 2014I'm using Win 8 with Win 7 Interface.
So basically the problem is that the computer is running on win 8 and the folder 'Users' located in C: was copied to disk D: and then deleted from disk C:.
Results?
Now when I go to 'start' there are no 'my music' 'my documents' etc, instead of that it shows '<No Text>' and doesn't open up. (Although when I scroll over the "<No Text>" (there are 3 different ones) I can see bars popping up 'Access letters and etc documents', 'View and organize pictures', 'Play music and other audio files'.)
I tried system restore 3 times to 3 different earlier restore points - nothing happened. How to fix this without having to reinstall OS?

Per recommendations elsewhere online: I've removed all the suspect live-tiles from the Start menu: Photos, Skype, Camera - and rebooted - but no way Jose. little thumbnail is still rotating through the lineup like nobodies business.
