My laptop has been fine since the last episode but today it was freezing and the screen went blue and it needed to shut down. I let it do it's thing and it referenced -- kernal_data _inpage_error and since then it has been good for a few minutes but as soon as I attempt to multitask everything freezes for 3-5 mins and I can't do a thing. It is like it needs to catch up. get my laptop back in speedy order As I move over to a new tab that is taking some time to load I notice is says waiting for cache.....on the bottom... then it locked up -- just for maybe a minute.Both Google Chrome and IE give me the "Not Responding"

Also got an error that said my system denied write access to host files. If any hijacked domains are in this file hijack this may not be able to fix this...then it tells me to edit the file -- wasn't sure if I should yet so I did not.

When I leave my laptop on for a while, it restarts because of a blue screen with the error: 0x00000050; PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA
It only happens when the laptop isn't used but is still on. When I'm working on it this error doesn't occur.
I checked RAM and HDD with Dell Support Center PC Checkup (even RAM stress test) and it shows no errors. Besides the HDD is new, as my old one broke and Dell replaced it.
I updated all my drivers from Dell's Website, so they all supported by windows 8.

My daughter managed to somehow get a blue screen of death every time she starts windows with "BAD_POOL_CALLER" as the error message which then makes the system restart. No action can be taken in windows because it restarts literally 10 seconds after you login. own?
View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery few days I get a blue screen if death error message and have to reboot my computer. The error messages are rarely the same. Today's message was Page_fault-in_nonpaged_area (igdkmd 32.sys), however, as I said, I receive many other messages. I have googled the various messages and the usual advice is to disconnect my various bits of hardware (printer, scanner, external hard drive, router and Inport {for recording from a turntable). I am supposed to see whether the BSOD appears after each piece of hardware is removed. This isn't practical as the errors aren't occurring consistently or every day so I wouldn't easily be able to tell which hardware is causing the problem.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a ASUS windows 8 system (64-bit) I bought slightly more than a year ago. After 6 months, I got the Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error blue screen (like this image: ) once in 10 days or so. I neglected to address the problem then. Totally regret it! Its frequency slowly started increasing and today I got it almost once every hour.
It does not happen at start-up like I read in some forums but while I am randomly working. The error message appears and the system automatically restarts. I have a major presentation for school coming up in a couple of weeks and would like to fix this at the soonest.
I ran disk check on my C drive and it said there were some problems and I went ahead and requested a repair. Once its complete and I ran the disk check again it still says there are errors and I initiated the repair again. Not sure if its fixed this time. D drive had no problems. I also ran the memory diagnostics tool - no memory errors were found.
I've having an issue that I think some ppl had, windows 8 crashing going to blue screen of death or blank black screen and then it restarts by itself, also I have noticed that it says repairing disk in D:/
I have one SSD 120gb in the C:/ which it host the operating system and some minnor programs, in a HDD which is my D:/ drive there I have my games.

Just had this new laptop running windows 8 and its an Acer.When I select the photos tile on the screen it goes to another screen which is black with a blue square icon and underneath it tells me that there are no files or folders in this view.There are photos in my picture folder as I just put then in.But if I go to the other method and select the My picture folder the photos are there.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a new Dell Inspiron 15 7000 laptop with an i7-4510U, Intel 4400 Graphics, 1920x1080 screen, and Windows 8.1. I have noticed that the display will brighten and dim when switching between apps. For example, going from a dark desktop background to a white background such as File Explorer, it will take the display about 5 to 10 seconds to brighten to the appropriate level. Going back to the desktop it will dim and sometimes even show a quick flash. I have the display set at 60% brightness and have turned off the adaptive brightens. Also using the latest Intel drivers. Exhibits this behavior on battery or AC. Never seen this on a laptop before.

I play the lord of the rings online, and when I try to launch it, as soon as it goes into full screen, the whole screen gets dark bluish (not BSOD). When thah happens the screen stays that way even if I close lotro and the only way it goes back to normal is by rebooting.

Dual booting Win 7 and Win 8. Win 7 is C: Primary installed first, Win 8 is installed to a primary partition (25GB). I get the blue recovery screen after starting Win 8 from bootloader menu. Win 7 starts fine. I have installed Win 8 on another computer using the same flash so I know the flash is good. First I defraged and cleaned out C: then created the partition. I have installed it on the computer before (preview edition) then removed it(formated D: partition), this is the RTM 9200 build. Did I mention that on the other computer when installed it asked for Key which I temporarily skipped, on this computer however when installed it did not ask for the key. Before the install I ran bootrec /fixmbr, /fixboot and also /rebuildbcd from Win 7 install disk.
I don't think it's a problem with the Win 7 boot loader. My guess is some registry value or other setting or file in Win 7 is preventing normal startup of Win 8. I do believe it's not hardware related. Any thoughts on what could cause this? Could it be the Win 8 bootloader now causing problems and if so how would I fix this issue? Do I need to fix bootloader in Win 8 and should I run the bootrec cmd's from the Win 8 flash this time? Not sure which has taking over now! I have searched in these forums and online for a couple of day's to no avail though references have been made that the Win 8 bootloader has now taken over, if so were does the now functioning bootloader reside - C: or D: (partition) and which one is it Win 7 or Win 8 loader?
Recently I'm getting the blue screen on death 100% every time I boot up than it restarts and it doesn't give the screen. Also When the computer is on and I restart it doesn't give the screen Either.

View 9 Replies View RelatedSince Yesterday I've gotten the Window's 8 Blue screen saying the Error "MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE REQUESTS" now i got this multiple times yesterday, even got the "BAD_POOL_HEADER" Searched around and found out this was probably a Driver Error and updated my Drivers. Only my Video Card needed an update and after Installing the latest driver and restarting my Computer everything seemed fixed. But today i got the same IRP Error again.
I have an Busted up USB port and thought that maybe the Driver was confused about it and made the error so i Deactivated the specific driver to that Port, But after getting the same IRP error and restarted the comp again i got the "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" error at startup
Now my I comp started normally and I'm waiting for the next Error so I don't know what do to. I found out that there's some error Logs (C:/windows/minidump) but I don't know a program that'll make them readable.

Computer is giving me a blue screen every 5 minutes or so.
Cant install windows 8, it gets halfway through then I get the blue screen and message irql not less or equal, was wondering how to solve this? I am trying to install the 64-bit version and have an acer aspire with a 1.3ghz processor, 4gb of ram and 181gb free on my hard drive.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Samsung EVO 840 120 gb SSD and did a clean install of Windows 8.1 Pro on it. Also formatted my other HDD's. And after that I started to experience at random times the complete freeze of windows and sometimes blue screen of death with "clock watchdog timeout" message. They usually happens when I unpacking an archive, during file copy, downloading big files, installing mods in nexus mod manager for skyrim or sometimes just in very random events. I noticed that usually when this happens hdd activity led on my pc case blinks continuously. When this freeze or BSOD happens I need to manually reset my computer.
(Also most of the archives I download from the internet I get crc errors for most when I try to unpack them, so I have redownload it again :/)

My computer is stuck on a weird screen. When I start it I get to the welcome screen with the time date etc and then I get to a blue screen but I can't log in it does not even appear. I only see a switch off button , language option and my mouse but I can't do anything

I am able to log in to the main user of the computer, but when I do, it brings me to a black screen with a blue task bar. I am able to use ctrl alt del and get into task manager, which is opened in the screen shot. Nothing else works. I was also able to get into windows boot manager once by pressing f8 and selecting boot manager, but since running a repair, it no longer works. When I click boot manager, it just starts the computer up like normal.
The computer did not come with a windows 8 dvd.
Been having this problem all of a sudden and blue screen keep happening.

Since the laptop was sold just with the installed windows but without the CD with windows8, I'm not able to reinstall it.
I get a blue screen after several hours when I plug in mic or speaker.
