Video DVD And ISO Files Not Burning Using Nero 2014 Platinum In Windows 8 Pro 64 Bit
Nov 17, 2013
Whenever I try to burn a video dvd or an ISO file through Nero burning ROM or Nero Express, at the time of giving burn command it shows cancelled by the user where as burning data DVD or CD through the same procedure is no problem at all. This problem had started with Nero 2014 Platinum v15.0.03400 Final & is still persisting with Nero 2014 Platinum v15.0.03500 Final, Nero 2014 Platinum v15.0.02500 Final shows no such behaviour.
Also some patches to make some apps work do not open properly but if I try the same one in safe mode they run smoothly I've tried to run them by putting the anti virus & smart screen off but all in vain. The rest of the apps in the Nero suite are working absolutely fine. I'm using windows 8 Pro 64 bit version with i7 3rd generation processor & 16 gb Ram.
I recently clean installed the 64-bit version of Windows 8 on my computer. The software I use on a daily basis works properly on it, but I do have a question about one thing.
I have a couple of old Logitech e-mail videos. (They're at least a dozen years old, possibly a little older. They're in Logitech's proprietary format, to the best of my knowledge, and cannot be converted to AVI or some other video format.)
Ever since installing the 64-bit version of Windows 8, I cannot play these files. They have played properly on the 32-bit version, as well as previous versions of Windows.
I've tried troubleshooting it and using various compatibility modes, with no success. So, how I can play these files.
I have been using Movie Maker in Windows 8 to edit video (MP4 H.264) files. How to burn movie to disc. I have dvd burner software but can't load movie to it. How I might do this? If not possible any alternative video editor/burner software.
I recently purchased a laptop with Windows 8 after the sudden death of my desktop. I have been having problems burning an mp3 cd. It won't play in the cd player in my truck. I get "bad cd/disc error" messages. At first, I thought it may have been a bad cd-r. Five cd-rs later, I am having the same problem. Not the cd player in my truck, either. Plays an mp3 cd I burned in XP just fine
I used WMP and EZ CD Audio Converter to burn the cds both with the same result. I'm stumped. The only difference I can see between the mp3s burned in XP and Windows 8 is the bitrate. And how do I change it if it is?
I just installed the Shark007 Codecs and reboot the PC. Because, I need to play.MKV video files. I didn't change that plugin settings. Now when I play the AVI video files which has dual audio (two languages), now Windows Media player automatically playing both audio sounds.
When I search on the internet, I found that setting Haali as the AVI splitter in the AVI tab will fix it. Unfortunately, in my situation, it didn't work. After I choose Haali splitter, it shows "Windows media player encountered a problem while playing the file" error.
I'm having problems where I can't see my video thumbnails on Windows 8.1 Preview, also - I don't know which ones I'm going to click at and play. Is there a way to solve this problem, so I can see my video thumbnails, just an icon with an white paper as an background of the icons.
The image below is the problem I'm having at the moment which I can't see the video thumbnails, just an icon with a white paper background:
The video thumbnails works alright in Windows 7 Home Premium that we used to have.
Windows 8.1 Enterprise Preview (I'm going to have a full version soon).
For those that select the download option for Win 8 i have a question. Before burning it on a DVD will there be a way to check if the download was OK and not waste a DVD if there is a problem with it?
I've got windows 8 and I think it's the home edition. now, will this thing burn DVDs on it? I know I can record CDs with it, but I can't find information about burning DVDs, even in this windows 8 for dummies book.
Im trying to open a quickbooks file on my new windows 8 computer. Nobody has used this computer, its about 3 hours out of the box, Im the only user but for some reason I need to provide administrative access to open a quickbooks file. Or to do anything really. I am marked as the admin on users accounts and settings. I have tried take ownership to no avail. This is infuriating that I cant use my own computer...
I have Windows 8.1 activated by phone. I wrote down my key, first part of numbers which is my ID and Confirmation ID which I got from phone bot Will I be able to use this information to activate Windows 8.1 Update 2014?
I bought this laptop October-13 with Windows 8 preinstalled. It had a few hiccups after the first month, but its just been getting worse and worse. Sometimes it will just freeze, other times it will freeze and BSOD. And its always a kernel_data_inpage_error. It happens pretty much while doing anything else then playing games, especially when playing video, be it streaming or local files.
On my old Win 7 and Win Vista and Win XP laptops I've had no problems opening and viewing my old MPEG-2 video files. My new laptop running Win 8.1 will not allow me to view them.
Windows Media Player will only recognize them as audio files - not video - though the sound will play. Real Player is the same - the application will open and begin playing a file but only as audio file. I've tried the built in Toshiba media player and it shows errors and won't open the files at all.
Again - these are conforming MPEG-2 NTSC 760X480 video file (old analog home movies) captured using an ATI video card dongle to connect to my video source and an old version of capture application ULead Video Studio. These files conform in every way to MPEG-2 standard/format and will run on all of our PC EXCEPT the new one running Win 8.
I bought and loaded a video editing application from Corel and it will open and play these files perfectly so why won't Win Media Player and Real Player recognize them when running behind Windows 8?
When I burn a disc it with nero it burns over the data ring to the end when i burn with imgburn it burns deep up to the data ring then shallow over the top of it. my disc's are dvd-r I have'nt changed them.the pc burned ok before.Iv done every thing i know cleaned, sent it back to factory settings. did asfc scan which was normal.
So recently bought a new PSU, Motherboard and 8GB of more RAM. I thought the BSOD's in the past were caused by a crap PSU however I bought an 80+ Corsair one and upgraded to a Z77 MPOWER motherboard. Have 4 crash dumps and only turned it on yesterday!
I burned about 400kb's worth of favorites onto new blank cd. But when I then check to see just how much of the cd was used up, it says 29mb's. How can that be if the 400kb's of favorites is less than one-half of one mb? I wrongly put this question in the browsers and mail forum. Had one answer, sounded like they meant a certain minimum amount is always used up before you burn your stuff...I think. Or does it indicate I burned them incorrectly?
I am trying to create a recovery media for my Inspiron 15R laptop. I have followed the steps as per the instructions given in manual.I want to create the recovery media on DVD disc. I am selecting disc as the option but every time i m getting the error as " The burning engine was not able to start, please restart the application. I have wasted my whole day trying to create the recovery media...
o.k. long story short before installing 8.1.1 in my real environment i tested it out extensively in vm. i found out that if you get past a certain point with the windows updates bitdefender will not install, if you install bd prior to a certain point it installs and works great even after you do the rest of the windows updates. How to get it installed and working correctly in a fully updated 8.1.1? i have eset smart security in, but i'd rather have my bitdefender.
I have a Dell Inspiron 3521 with a DVD RW drive listed as "HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GU70N" and I use Ashampoo Burning Studio 14. When I tried to burn a Video DVD after DVD authoring I get a warning saying "The inserted CD/DVD could not be detected". I tried other software too. They don't seem to detect the DVD too.
I got a new video card, namely the Sapphire Vapor-X R9 280X to replace my old (broken) video card, namely the Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 Boost.
The problem is that I get no video signal when linking my new video card. The vga-led on motherboard turns on red (normally never) .
I thought my motherboard is broken, but then I tried the video card (Radeon HD 6950) from my brother and he just shows video signal. (vga-led turns not on red this time on motherboard) .
I would also say that on the box of my new video card is a 750 watt power supply recommended, but I only have a 600 watt power supply build in my pc.
I'm having severe playback problems with the Video app. Whenever I try to play any video from my PC (avi or mp4), it just freezes on the first frame while the audio continues. If I try to skip it will eventually play properly for 2-3 secs, but then go blocky and freeze again. I've tried playing videos that I rented from Xbox Video, and they play perfectly. All videos also play perfectly on both WMP and VLC. Is it just a very poor app?
I am also having trouble viewing any flash video content in IE10, both Metro and Desktop. Youtube will not play any video in Fullscreen; even at 480p, playback is jerky, with an almost "strobe" like effect on movement. When I was using Vista, IE would quite happily play Youtube videos at 720p in Fullscreen with no issues. If I try to play the front page video on Vimeo, the whole page freezes up. There is no option to disable video acceleration in the flash menu, so I am at a loss as to what else I can try. I have upgrade my graphics card from 256MB to 1GB in the hope it might make a difference, but it didn't. Have just downloaded Chrome and can play Fullscreen 1080p with that no problem.
I was wondering if the two issues might be related? I have looked and looked for Adobe Flash settings all over Windows 8 but can find nothing.
I am trying to be able to see CR2 files (RAW photo files from Canon) as thumbnail icons in Windows Explorer. I am using Windows 8.
Microsoft's codec pack (Download: Microsoft Camera Codec Pack - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details) does not work for Windows 8. When I am trying to install it, I get an error message mentioning that I can use Windows 8 Update function, but doesn't give any more information on how to do this exactly.
Whenever i try to play video in a windows 8 app I get an error or the video just loads forever... however everything else about apps work just cannot play videos inside apps
while i was editing a video using cyberlink powerdirector 10 windows 8 got hanged then a black screen a appeared which said YOUR PC RAN INTO A PROBLEM and it collects some info and says search the internet for "video_tdr_failure" otherwise it is running perfect.
Also i installed NFS Most Wanted 2012 and it gets stuck while i am playing I run it with windows 7 compatibility and it runs fine what is wrong with my graphic card
I have an HP Envy dv7 laptop running windows 8.1 I forgot my windows password so I made a 3rd party password reset disk. I changed the bios to legacy and disabled secure boot. The disk wouldn't load so I set the bios back to the original settings. Now I hear the chime that windows has loaded but there is a black screen.
