Decided to order the Windows 8.1 Media Center Pack. Ordered online and installed.
Got Windows Activation screen saying Windows can't activate right now. Try activating later. If that doesn't work, contact support.
The Current product key is the new one I just received.
Entering my old W-8 key doesn't work.
I am getting the same error code 0x80072EE7 but when i connect to the internet it says activated once i disconnect the internet it says not activated.

I tried running windows update but i get an error saying "Windows could not search for new updates" error code 80240440. I tried everything I could find online and nothing seems to work. I tried restarting windows update, i tried turning off firewall, I tried reinstalling windows again and selecting "check for updates online" before installing from the cd, i tried running a check disk, and there is absolutely no program installed on the drive other than windows.

I've tried to fix it and i'd get it to go away for a while and it'd pop up again but since the other day whenever i turn it on it goes to this blue screen asking me to activate it and after a while on it the blue screen pops up again but it still wont activate it says "Windows can't activate at the moment"

A note that also stated, You need to enter in the product key on the back of Windows 8 box, or the product key that came in the email that you received when you purchased the DVD....I have a copy of the email that I received with the purchased Windows 8 DVD.....there is NO product key listed at all!Now I can not even attempt to customize Windows 8.1 preview, because it is not activated.....
I am quite frustrated to say the least, and even attempted to install (clean) back to Windows 8 Pro with my purchased DVD....when I entered the same product key that was successful (only 3-4 days) ago....the installation process stalled!
So I stuck in a Windows 7 disc.....and at least the system rebooted back into Windows 8.1 Preview....but still no dam activation...I guess my only alternative is to contact Microsoft support... my Windows 8 Pro with Media Center was running beautifully and was fully activated only 2 hrs ago...

The OS was running perfectly fine until today when it started showing activation error. This is not right since I had installed Windows 8.1 Update 1 with a legit key since I have an MSDN subscription As you can see in below pic. It says that you can activate the Windows Machine now

lately Iv'e been having trouble booting my windows 7 and decided that it's time to upgrade, I bought a copy ofr windows 8 64-bit from microsoft and burned it onto a disk using the windows 7 usb/dvd downloader. I was doing all this from a 32-bit and thus applied the bootsect.exe as needed. When i boot from the disk, everything runs smoothly. I insert the required code and select custom install.
At this point, i select the partitiion and proceed. as the installation proceeeds, it does not apear if the first phase of installation does anything, even after 5 minutes it stays at 0%. after it finaly switches to the next part, I wait again for the next phase, but it only throws up a message "windows cannot install required files. make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. error code 0x8007048F"
After multiple attempts I decided to reinstall windows 7, but now I get the same error.

I bought an asus laptop yesterday, this laptop came with windows 8 preloaded and in theory pre activated.What I did when i got home was turn my computer on, select a lenguage, add my email address, add my home network connection and create a profile. I dont want to need to type my email address everytime i turn this thing on so the profile i created has no password. When adding said profile i noticed that my windows 8 copy was not activated because i also wanted to change my profile pic and it would not allow me to do so, so i go investigate and the message i get is "Activation error description not found" and bellow that is a button that says "activate" and bellow that button there is a link to windows customer service. When i click the button that says "activate" i see a small rotating circle and the words "checking key" and then nothing else.
I tried to do a system restore with no luck.
I tried to reset my system but i need to have a recovery media cd inside or a windows installation disk that i dont have since it came pre-installed.
I tried to remove everything and re-install windows, i also cant do tha because of the previous reasons.
So i try to get a recovery copy(looked for recovery in system and opened the one that just said recovery) on some cds or dvds, but when i try to it wont let me because i am missing some files and its just not possible.
Recently I have downloaded a few things that require the .NET framework 3.5. When I go to download/ install this, it moves realy fast, then stops and says: "Windows couldn't complete the requested changes" with the error code '0x800F081F'. I have been trying to do this for weeks now, and keep getting this error.

I am trying to install GTasks application in windows 8, but after clicking install it says this app was not installed and gives this error code: 0x80073cf9

Found something strange. I opened the View Updates history, and I found out that the update was installed successfully when it was offered the first time. A few hours late, same update was offered again, and this time it failed to install.
I'm using the Asus Eee Slate EP121. This happened more than once that Windows prompted me to install an update, then fails. Sometimes the update prompt disappears even though it was not installed. Today it prompted me to install an update called "Qualcomm Atheros Communications driver update for Bluetooth Module" and failed.

I just bought my computer 2 weeks ago .. I filled in my specs and also uploaded my system info information as an attachment. Last night, I tried to download the windows 8.1 update. I let it run over night, but this morning when I woke, I had a blue screen that said windows could not fix my problem .. and gave me options to try. When I first installed Windows 8 I got 2 free WMC keys. I used one on my Windows 8 system and never used the 2nd one. I have installed 8.1 preview using the ISO and Hyper-V. Today I used "Add features to Windows 8" using the unused WMC key to install WMC on my 8.1 virtual system and it worked great.

They had provided a KMS Activated version, which after installation, activated Windows 8 automatically. Also to mention that it is a genuine copy, as I had a special password which was provided by them to log in and download windows 8. However, I was not provided any extra Keys.

Because of this I literally have no product key. I have checked my email and searched for anything that seems Windows related just to make sure of a product key to be found.
Eventually I came across a program that told me my product key. After I found my key, I then tried multiple methods of activation and nothing seemed to have worked. I recently had to do a system restore through the Dell System Restore programme, however now it appears I cannot activate Windows 8 - I get the "Windows cannot activate right now. Try activating Windows later".
I have tried entering manually through a command prompt but all I get is an error 0x8004F80B. How to resolve this?
I was reviewing my windows updates and saw two optional updates that were pending. First one was for MS office and it went through fine. Second one was some update to AMD vision control center. During that update screen flashed couple of times and went for re-start. After that I am unable to get into the system. I tried safe mode/debugging/low resolution mode etc.. But all resulted in the same blue screen with the 0xc000021a error message.
I am able to go only to command prompt. Nothing else (fortunately I am able to backup my photos by connecting external hard drive and using command prompt). I checked the SRT log file but it doesn't say any issue. All passed.
I tried refresh PC but it came back and said "There was a problem refreshing your PC. No changes made".
I tried using win ISO image bootable flash drive. It couldn't get through me in (I just tried with PC repair option when I booted with ISO image).
Is there a way I can get over it without re-installing?
I'm constantly trying to update my Windows 8 but I'm unable to do so, because everytime I try to update it, it fails to install because of an errors. To be specific, its two updates with different errors 8007371B and 80073712.
Those two updates are the only one showing up. Their id is KB2856373 (Update for Windows 8 on x64 CPU's) and KB2781197 (Security update for Windows 8 on x64 CPU's).
I have already tried sfc, chkdisk, Windows update diagnostics from Microsoft website, resetting the services, Windows build-in tool to fix Windows update errors and nothing worked.
When I do a search of the registry, I get the following errors:

If I try to delete or modify any of these entries, they cannot be accessed through regedit but are available to PsExec.exe from System Internals. I haven't tried deleting these entries for obvious reasons since I do not know if they are essential or not.
