Insufficient Error When Activating Using KMS Micro
Dec 14, 2012
My KMSMicro v3.10 was working perfectly activating both Windows 8 and Office 2013.
Now suddenly I get an error message when trying to activate: "ERROR DESCRIPTION: The Software Licensing Service reported that the product could not be activated. The count reported by your Key Management Service (KMS) is insufficient. Please contact your system administrator."
When I check the KMS State on the KMS Server I get for Windows:-

Like I said all was well until 3-4 days ago. I did do a big update to both Windows 8 and Office 2013 using the Windows Update on my computers. Has Microsoft patched the software to not make it work anymore?
I've got an XP Virtual machine that I have on an SSD which I run from the USB port - I use this XP machine a lot on DIFFERENT computers -- It's got my Icelandic version of Office on it plus several other programs I use when I'm on a clients site so I don't have to install any special software on their laptops - It's also got my SAP GUI on it which I use to connect to various clients SAP systems.
However just this morning I can't boot up the VM -- get access denied messages to the VM files -- even on Administrator accounts.
Here's the screenshot of what comes up.
I've tried all the usual tricks like Run as administrator, give every possible privilege to the directory and files inside
First time I've had this problem since VISTA days. I really NEED to power on this virtual machine. I've posted here as it's not a VM problem itself but a Windows permissions one.
Update -- now solved --might not be the most sensible one but added my user name to the security privileges for the SSD -- I was already in the administrators group so why I needed to do this I haven't a clue but it worked.
I just updated to windows 8.1 yesterday all is good, today I receive a update for Advanced Micro Devices graphics adaptor WWDM1.2 AMD Radeon HD 75209. It failed came back as error 80070103 says trying to install a driver that's already installed or a driver of less compatible . So I looked in add and remove I do see a advanced micro device but I don't know if it's the same or better how do I find out. I also googled it and read that it's never advised to update drivers threw windows update, go directly to the makers web site so how did this happen and what should I do?
Does the Asus Vivo Smart ME400 micro-USB port support USB devices like flash drive - keyboard - mouse - HD & CD drive? If yes, where do I get the right USB adapter for it?
I just got Windows 8.1 Ent. and I am starting to get irritated by the "Activate Windows" watermark, so I started looking for ways to activate the OS. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to find a functioning one, and KMS Auto didn't work.
So are there any other ways to activate Windows 8.1, or at least get rid of that watermark.
I recently purchased a Acer Desktop PC, well recently was in Feb/March of this year.
I tried to refresh the system. All worked fine until I rebooted the system. After I input my log on password in it a screen comes on saying that windows cannot be activated at this time. Please try later or input the product key. Also I cannot download any updates, I presume because of the activation.
The Pc was purchased New and had windows 8.1 installed with no installation disks or product keys in sight. After much searching I managed to get the product key, manually input it and Nada, Nothing! It would not accept it.
I recently got a new PC via my insurance company that came with Windows 8 standard. I requested pro be included with it and they gave me an OEM Windows 8 Pro 64 bit. I have blanked the hard drive and installed it. During the install it does not ask for the product key. Once the install is complete I go to system info and it says Windows is already activated and shows a product key that ends in OEM. At the top it shows the name of the product as Windows 8. If I go to add features it tells me I need to buy pro. If I try to change or use the product key that came in the oem packaging for pro 64 bit it says that product key will not work and to try another.
I have a new Sony Vaio that came with Kaspary Security system - which has 13 days left. It is a Windows 8 Operating system. I know that Windows Defender is disabled - and want to enable it. I have done Windows start menu; Search for Windows Defender. Window appears on the Desktop indicating that it is not active - with no options. I have also done the Administrative Tools in Control Panel - to "activate" - and completed a restart. I still cannot activate Windows Defender. Do I have to Uninstall the Kaspary antivirus before I can activate Windows Defender? If yes, I assume I would do that through the control Panel - uninstall programs?
After upgrading to Windows 8.1 the key is not showing as valid. When I enter the key I get this error code:
Error code: 0xC004F012
I used a tool to get the actual key from the OEM code and when I try to add that key it also rejects the key. Also, the system will install updates but after rebooting but it reverts all the new updates.
Dell XPS One 2710
I tried calling windows and dell support with no luck..
I tried the guide for activation backup but on reinstall the WMC is missing, so the restore of the activation status fails. Even it seems impossible to integrate the Media Center into the upgrade due to the encrypted install.esd file.
A fresh install via retail iso also failed with the "core" message (wrong version?) giving a slui code afterwards. How to manage to keep the activation intact using the Windows 8 Pro Upgrade?
I think I got this Event Log error after I upgraded to 8.1 but I' not sure. Anyway, when I go to event viewer I get a message that says "One or more logs in the query have errors" and then is says the Log that it cannot find is "Microsoft-Windows-DxpTaskRingtone/Analytic". I have looked and the log does not exist and OF COURSE when I try to cheat the system and create the log it does not like the "/" in the name! What the heck is going on and how I can tell Windows 8.1 to create the log.
My Windows cannot be activated. I have tried several different methods of activation but none seem to work. My computer was Windows 8 pre-installed before purchase. Because of this I literally have no product key. I have checked my email and searched for anything that seems Windows related just to make sure of a product key to be found.
Eventually I came across a program that told me my product key. After I found my key, I then tried multiple methods of activation and nothing seemed to have worked. I am running Windows 8 on a 64-bit system. This problem started on the 28th of June and I found out that this could be a hacker attacking my key (using a key-gen and my key being used on another computer) how can I solve this!? any method I will try!
A lot of people make mention of the weather app and other apps. I've read the threads on eightforums.com about this issue and other ones elsewhere and it seems people recommend different solutions since it looks like different symptons cause this problem. Some talk about making it a local service, others part of System, and changing various ownership permissions. I don't use any metro apps and I did disable the two skydrive tasks that didn't work that cleared up a few dcom errors. It seems the registry settings that people use to fix this error can cause more harm than good so I'd like to avoid changing the registry.
I've uninstalled all my metro apps, even re-installed them, then uninstalled again but still get this error. Strangely, it occurs EXACTLY and only at 10am EST everyday. According to task scheduler, the only event running at this time is the following:
MicrosoftWindowsWindowsBackup (The Scheduled Task notifies the user that Windows backup has not been configured" Last run result: This operation requires an interactive window station (0x800705B3)
Would it be safe to disable this task and do you think this will clear up this dcom error? I don't use filehistory except to occasionally manually create a system image in case I mess something up badly. The system automatically creates system restores each day.
I get this error code every time I try and download the upgrade. It gets to around 16%-22% complete before it stops. I'll come back and I'll see this error screen, screenshot below. I've tried restarting my PC a hundred times and tried re-installing it a hundred times. I bought Windows 8 Pro a few months back. I also went into Window Update and made sure every thing was installed, all are updated to the latest.
I downloaded Windows 8 from Micro$oft. I thought I had created a disk image using Acronis software but apparently I did not. Recently I started getting MBR Error 3 on boot up but my computer still boots into Windows. Since I did not receive an installation disk from my MS download, is there another way to rebuild my original MBR so I don't get the MBR Error 3 message?
I have upgraded Windows 7 ultimate to Windows 8 Pro. I am getting the following error when Opening the windows store . I have logged in into the system with windows live ID
Activation of application winstore_cw5n1h2txyewy!Windows.Store failed with error
I just bought a brand new never been used desktop pc pre installed with 64 bit Windows 8.1 and I'm straight up getting a mmloaddrive.exe error Window pop up at start up.
PC is an AMD A4 processor with 8 gb RAM, 32 bit operating system, x64 processor with win 8 pro installed. When attempting to upgrade to win 8.1 pro 64-bit iso, by clicking Mount> double click Settup, I am getting the following message: "This app cannot run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher". If I installed the 32bit iso it works fine.
As of late ( 4-5 days ) I've been having issues, where Windows tells me, that I'm running low on memory, and it closes programs, I never had these problems before, my installataion is 6 days old, clean install, all updates downloaded and installed, programs I installed:
Firefox Steam Skype Origin Teamspeak
My specs:
Code: Operating System Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
CPU Intel Core i5 3570K @ 3.40GHz 28 C Ivy Bridge 22nm Technology
RAM 8,00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 668MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. P8Z77-I DELUXE (LGA1155) 27 C
Upgraded to windows 8 pro, worked fine for sometime, but now it does not boot- says either error loading operating system or disc read error. Re installed Windows 8 after booting with another hard drive with winXP, worked fine for sometime, then it failed again displaying the same error messages. Been using this system since long, but this has never happened before. I have reinstalled again by the same procedure, but always wary of the same problem happening again.
I am finding a problems with windows 8 when i start the computer it crashes and I get blue screen error my anti virus scanned everything it was clean no viruses or threats and when I restart my computer the screen freeze even my mouse cursor freezes and again i have to restart and updates are fully updated.
Two days a go I have downloaded red alert 3 as an ISO file on my new laptop. It is an HP core i7.
When I am trying to install the game using the AutoRun/EASetup I receive a message "Please insert CD/DVD in drive C:"
I have try to run it as administrator, troubleshot it and try it in compatible mode, run it in USB,CD,try to install it in save mode, open it with winrar,re-downloading direct X but ... no dice.
I upgraded to windows 8.1 when it was available and the first time I turned off my computer after upgrading, it all started and now I'm stuck in this automatic repair loop. To top it all off my mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3... has now become my main issue.
I have a bootable flash drive loaded with windows 8.1 and a bootable DVD loaded with windows 8.1 but my mobo supports only HDD and CD-rom...
I have no clue what to do, as I can't use a repair disc to repair my computer and I CANNOT Reset my PC, I have way to many files that I need on my HDD.
