Insufficient Error When Activating Using KMS Micro
Dec 14, 2012My KMSMicro v3.10 was working perfectly activating both Windows 8 and Office 2013.
Now suddenly I get an error message when trying to activate: "ERROR DESCRIPTION: The Software Licensing Service reported that the product could not be activated. The count reported by your Key Management Service (KMS) is insufficient. Please contact your system administrator."
When I check the KMS State on the KMS Server I get for Windows:-
Total Requests Received: 207
Failed Requests Received: 0
Requests with License Status Unlicensed: 0
Requests with License Status Licensed: 13
Requests with License Status Initial grace period: 0
Requests with License Status License expired or Hardware out of tolerance: 0

Like I said all was well until 3-4 days ago. I did do a big update to both Windows 8 and Office 2013 using the Windows Update on my computers. Has Microsoft patched the software to not make it work anymore?
Windows 8 - Autorun On Sandisk Flash Drive
May 30, 2013I inserted a SanDisk Cruzer 16 GB flash drive in my Win 8 laptop, and a window opened that had the Sandisk logo and it said installing Sandisk files or something like that, with a progress bar that took about 20 seconds to move across. It was not the pop up bubble you generally see by the tray when a driver is being installed, it was larger and in the middle of the screen. It seemed like some sort of autorunning application, which I thought Windows 8 does not allow. I don't see any Sandisk application in Programs and Features.

Jun 29, 2014I just updated to windows 8.1 yesterday all is good, today I receive a update for Advanced Micro Devices graphics adaptor WWDM1.2 AMD Radeon HD 75209. It failed came back as error 80070103 says trying to install a driver that's already installed or a driver of less compatible . So I looked in add and remove I do see a advanced micro device but I don't know if it's the same or better how do I find out. I also googled it and read that it's never advised to update drivers threw windows update, go directly to the makers web site so how did this happen and what should I do?

I was trying to do a system backup on a 1TB external hard drive and couldn't find the place to do it. Finally came across system restore. It said I would need at least 16mb. But, what it did was reformat my drive to 32GB.

Sep 15, 2014Shouldn't my SSD be viewable somewhere in windows 8.1? It's not unallocated in Disk Utility, just not there, but I can see it in bios, although I can't set it as a boot option.
I'm confused because I thought my OS was on it, but I've been booting without it, so it may have never worked I've had this laptop for a little under 10 months.
Windows 8 - Backup Data With USB Stick 32gb?

I've got an external hard drive that backs up my desktop (XP) can I use this as well for Windows 8 or should I just get another external hard drive solely for Windows 8 or can I use the USB Stick 32gb that I already have?

Will the Recovery Drive Creator repartition the USB Flash Drive as a 32GB FAT32 partition? I tried the same on an external USB hard drive and it repartitioned the external hard drive as a 32GB FAT32 partition.

Nov 19, 2013I just received my Inspiron 15z with 32GB mSATA and 500GB HDD, and I was disappointed to find that Windows 8 is installed on the 500GB (presumably 5400 RPM) HDD. For performance sake, I expected that the OS would be installed on the mSATA drive.
I'm not sure the best way to fix this with the Recovery Media, as I've never done this before. I don't want to run into Windows activation issues, but I want to do a clean installation using the mSATA drive as my OS drive.
I don't really care about the recovery partition, since it's apparently configured incorrectly (in my opinion). I just want the OS on the mSATA drive.

Sep 15, 2014File history seemed to be working OK. But then I added a library in Windows Explorer with my Google Drive folder. I don't have much stuff in this folder, less than 1GB. The problem is that File History is not backing up this folder in its backups.
Do I have to delete the file history backup and redo it again every time I add a library? (I haven't tried it but it'd be a nuisance wouldn't it?).

Dec 2, 2012I have just got windows 8 and I have 220 pictures in 'My pictures' folder. Only 117 are showing. I think i added the rest at later date and for some reason when i access the pictures gallery feature on windows 8 i cannot see the newly added pics.

Now, everytime I start up - and occasionally while I'm working, I get a screen telling me to go to PC settings to activate windows. When I click on "PC Settings," It shows the last four digits of my product key, with a button to add another key, and says windows can not activate now, try again later.
1) Do I have to enter the product key for Media player
2) Why would it keep saying Windows can't activate?

Jun 15, 2013I foolishly upgraded to windows 8 last week having paid £99.00 for the privilege and not seen anything useful come out of it. Whilst I am chasing Microsoft for a refund, I don't expect them to be very obliging, irrespective of any consumer laws we have in this country, so the immediate problem I have is that I have also found in Adobe Lightroom 4 that all the existing images now have a yellow colour cast.
I have tried reinstalling various versions of drivers for the graphic adapter from various sources. All of this has had no effect so I am not sure what else I can do to correct this back to how it was.

The favorites list in the menu bar can't be scrolled with the mouse wheel, so that's out, and pinning the Favorites Center would be too intrusive.
Hard Drive Restore Error - Shows Wrong Capacity / Extra Files Added
Feb 2, 2013I recently installed a HD (WD25EZRX). it's been operating normally for about 2 days.
i was using my comp when i saw an alert that said something about a hard drive error and that my PC needed to be reset to fix it. so i reset the PC and saw another message saying something about restoring to a previous point. i wasn't really thinking and i clicked OK.
upon reset, i noticed the HD in question was now showing up as 1.36TB (it's a 2.5TB HD). it also has a bunch of files from another HD, which is odd.
i've used Error Checking under Tools of the HD's Properties, but the results showed no errors.
i'd like to regain the "lost" capacity w/o having to reformat my entire HD.
System Specs:

Intel Core i7-3770K CPU
Samsung 30nm DDR3 1600 RAM 16GB
ASROCK Extreme4 Z77 Motherboard
