Feb 15, 2014I have Windows 8.1 PC, then i installed EaseUS Partition Master 9.3 (All Editions), So i am having seperate ISO of WinPE, so i like to know "How to install WinPE on PC" because i want to Create EASEUS 3.9.0 Bootable CD.
I am having all the files like this below.
1)--EASEUS Partition Master 3.9.0
2)--WinPE ISO image ( in this iso there is no SETUP file is there, so how i should install this WinPE) If i install WinPE then i am able to create EASEUS Bootable CD.

Nov 1, 2013Partition wizard - seems no way to create a USB bootable media -- if your PC doesn't have a physical DVD drive even the PAID PRO version doesn't show the create bootable media option. Machine doesn't have bootable CD.
Gone back to the FREE GPARTED program -- although it can take a lot longer to run when re-sizing / moving partitions.
(Another method -- a bit extreme though is to install Partition wizard on a Windows to Go system !!!)
The Partition wizard website is totally confusing too it shows a USB version but how to obtain it is unclear and the documentation is not good either.

Apr 11, 2013I'm having a hard time with WinPE 4.0. For starters, my USB is 128GB, which means I have to use exFAT - according to some people, it should work, but others say it won't. So far no luck.
Also, it's my only USB and any way to boot both x86 and x64 WinPE 4.0 from it. Even if I have to use separate partitions, that would be fine.
Finally, I have to do this in UEFI mode.... BIOS won't work on the device I'm trying to boot to.

May 18, 2014I have a Microsoft Surface Pro 2 and I am running Windows 8.1 Pro Update 1.
I have been unsuccessful at building a WinPE image that provides BitLocker support. I searched around the internet and found many posts. Eventually, I ended up trying to build it with the various added packages I discovered in the various posts. However, in the end, none worked and this is the message I am getting after booting into my WinPE environment:
manage-bde.exe - Application Error
The instruction at 0xa20afa3b referenced memory at 0x0000013d.
The memory could not be read.
Click on OK to terminate the program
Here are the commands I eventually ended up using to build my WinPE image:

Will WinPE 5.0 x64 bootable environment work on a TPM-enabled machine? If so, how did you build your custom WinPE environment?
PC Will Not Boot From WinPE 4 Boot Disk
Sep 12, 2013My computer shipped from the factory (Dell) with Windows 7 x64. I recently did a clean ('custom') install of Windows 8 Pro x64. The install went very well, no problems. To install Windows 8, I booted from a USB flash drive.
I actually have two licensed copies of Windows 8. The other copy is on a DVD. To test the functioning of my DVD drive, I tried to boot from the Windows 8 disk. The computer would not boot. My computer had no trouble booting from the USB flash drive version of my Windows 8 installer, obviously, but it won't boot from a disk version of same.
As a further test, I tried to boot my computer from my original factory Windows 7 install disk. The computer successfully booted from this disk.
I therefore concluded that my computer can boot from a disk made with WinPE 3, but it will not boot from a disk made with WinPE 4, even though it will boot from a USB flash drive made with WinPE 4. I tried to boot from other bootable disks made with WinPE 4 - none would boot the computer. Other bootable flash drives made with WinPE 4 have no problem booting my computer.
My computer is partitioned with a MBR and uses a BIOS. I made no changes to my BIOS settings, and unfortunately there will be no more BIOS updates for my computer.
Should I just accept that I cannot boot from disks made with WinPE 4, or is there some way around this? I'm not too broken up about this because, after all, I have no trouble booting from WinPE 4 flash drives. And disks are on the way out, anyway.

Nov 3, 2013A week ago or so I had a machine failure. I had all the documents saved. It took me quite a long time to get me up and running on another machine. At the moment I'm interested in finding out if there is a possibility to backup/clone a finished installed system to a usb(bootable) drive.
In case of failure of a machine a bootable usb drive would give the option of continuing the basic work. At least you could instantly communicate with clients and so on till the new machine is installed. My Mac friend uses Superduper. What are the options in Windows 8? What 3party programs would be capable to do that?

Making Bootable ISO From Files?
Oct 14, 2013Tonight I used a program called Windows Hotfix Downloader to integrate the 3 updates for Win 8.1 with success. However it gave me folders and not an .iso. I was able to make an .iso with Power Iso but it says non bootable image. In the past I know I used a program to do this with XP,Vista,and Win 7. I tried to follow Power Isos instructions to do it but what to select when it asks for add boot info and wants a source what to put? I just can't remember what easy program I used in the past to make a bootable iso from files. It's not rufus or yumi...they will make a bootable USB. I was able to manually make a UEFI Bootable USB manually and copying the folders over to the flash but still want a bootable iso for archive.

But when I try to boot with this USB-key on my older PC (which does not have UEFI), then before installing Windows it says that there is no HDD or partition Windows can be installed in? I can then boot again with USB-key select rep. PC, start cmd, change the HDD to GPT, then Windows can be installed, but then it can't boot from the HDD!!
How do I make a bootable USBkey with Windows 7 or Windows 8 that can be installed on an ordinary MBR HDD? I need to make it on my system running GPT SSD.
I have tried this:

select disk (selected my USB)

and then copied my windows 8 dvd onto it.
It will boot, but Windows will only install on a GPT HDD.

When the disk boots up, you select repair disk instead of install. This will give you access to all the repair programs as well as system image recovery option.
All you have to is, go to this webpage (Download Windows 8.1 Enterprise Evaluation) and download the ISO for Windows 8.1 Enterprise evaluation. This will let download the ISO file. Warning, this file is 3.7 gig big and takes a few minutes. After that simply burn to disk. When you boot this disk, just choose repair instead of install. Just note, that like all install disk it takes time to load. 2 minutes and 20seconds on my machine.
New HDD - Broken MBR (no Bootable Device Found)
Oct 16, 2014I've recently replaced my secondary HDD in HP Pavillion dv7 (primary is SSD@W8.1) and as soon as I booted up computer, I got error "no bootable devices found". The first thing that I tried out was bootable USB with Windows 8.1 whereas I ran "automatic repair" several times, without any luck.
Then I opened up command prompt under advanced menu and ran:
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /scanos
bootrec /rebuildbcd
None worked, probably because of "element not found" error. I also tried with diskpart where I manually selected (see screenshot) SSD system partition for active one, but still without any luck.
I also created bootable Minitool Parition Magic USB and ran Rebuild BCD from there and it still didn't work.

It worked just fine, but now I tried Win Toolkit, RUFUS, and WinUSB maker with 2 different Windows 8.1 Update 1 ISO files (one by me and on by murphy). Neither worked. I reset BIOS settings completely, but that also didn't work - my PC sees the flash drive, but it just won't boot from it, without any error. If I force that flash drive to be the only boot drive, then it just takes me back into UEFI/BIOS without any error messages...

Upon restarting it everything was normal until I ended up getting a screen w/ a loading bar saying "2.2 TB Infinity: Press any key to enter boot menu". At first I just let it load - which brought me to a black screen saying "No bootable device found, press any key to reset". And of course, when I pressed the key the computer reset. Then it happened again - this time I tried pressing a key - nothing. The loading bar stopped (like it was trying to bring up the boot menu) but nonetheless it brought me back to the black screen once again telling me to press a key to reset. Over and over again this happens - I tried inserting my Windows 8 CD; nothing.

Windows 8 - Cloned Hard Disk Is Not Bootable?
Mar 9, 2013My hard disk was always full (itunes/picasa filling it with multiple backups etc); so decided to upgrade to a whopping 1tb. I bought the HDD and a cradle; and have created a clone of all my files and settings onto the new monster using an application. I want to copy all my settings across - Virtual DJ takes best part of a day to configure for example.
Downside is, the new disk is not bootable; and I cannot make it bootable however I try.
I have made the partition active using "diskmanger"
I have gone to the drive and typed in admin mode in command prompt:
g:
cd/boot
bootsect g:
I have also tried:
Bcdedit /import C:BootBCD.
This hasn't worked, so tried this:
Bcdedit /set {bootmgr} device partition=G:
TBH - don't really understand the commends, just trying everything I can!

Oct 17, 2013XPS One 2710. I updated to Windows 8.1 via Windows store today. The installation went fine but it couldn't reboot because of "no bootable device". The setup/bios is set up on uefi mode/safetymode on. I've tried to disable safetymode or run in legacy but no luck. I have no bootable device and expected the installation to go just fine. Now what?

So , now i should format all disc inside my pc (secure erase for ssd disc and wipe for hhd). I can create NTFS partition with GPT format and aligned to 1204MB for all solid state discs and HDD. I want to build an EFI/USB from an ISO of a bootable third party application, which is not designed to boot from UEFI. First, I went through the steps in Diskpart. Then, I copied the files from the third party ISO to the USB stick. Screenshot 34 shows the objects listed from the third party ISO. The second screenshot (35) shows what I have on my Win 8.1 ISO. I tried to just copy the efi folder and bootmgr files from the Win 8 ISO, but my Win 8 system (a VM) didn't like that at all. !
