Hardware Drivers :: Driver 331.65 Stopped Responding And Recovered

this morning I was playing FIFA 13, charger not plugged in and I noticed there is a performance difference between plugged in and not plugged in. The game was laggy a bit. Then suddenly, my game crash with a black screen first then a pop up yellow exclamation mark warning appears, something about :
Display driver 331.65 has stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
I restart my laptop and shut it down after some time. This afternoon I turn it on back and play FIFA 13 again but this time with the cable plugged in. The game was smooth now and the message earlier didn't appear. So this means I have to plugged in every time I want to play? And why there is a performance difference when plugged in and not plugged in?

i have a Leonovo H520 current gpu is "Radeon 5750" i recently upgraded my psu to 600w which 450 is enough for the card. but everytime im in a game my screen goes black and my game crashes and i have that error it is really annoying [URL]

I amm using windows 8.1 64 bit and everytime I open Photoshop cs6 for the time after a boot I get this message 'Display driver has stopped working but has recovered', my system can handle photoshop so I know thats not the problem. My graphics card is a AMD Radeon HD 8330.

Original error message: "Display driver NVIDIA Kernel Mode Driver, Version 314.22 stopped responding and has succesfully recovered"
I'm getting this error again and again, mainly in games. (Which seems logic, they use the graphics card most) Games without DX11 will continue after a black screen has occured, but at very low FPS.
Games with DX11 will just crash and stop working after the same black screen.

i bought new computer few days ago.i have sapphire HD 7750 2gb ddr3 - and im installed the driver for that by the CD but after i want to play some games . i get this massage Display driver stopped responding and has recovered.

I just installed my new graphics cards and successfully install new driver.
Most of time i got this error on the start up of my computer. Here an image But it did happen once,when i was playing sniper elite nazi (for about 10min) and when it crashed i had to reboot because the driver didn't recover so any other games refuse to start giving DX11 failed error or just .exe crash.
All other games work properly.
I tryed to place the card in another PCIe slot but doesn't work either. I try both Driver Beta and the official one but both failed.

I have a MacBook Pro running Windows 8 (via BootCamp) and I was running games on Steam.
Randomly, the game froze, and my Xbox 360 controller stopped responding. When I exited out to try and fix the problem, the trackpad stopped working completely and the whole thing froze.
Upon restart, the trackpad simply doesn't work (still doesn't) and I have to use a mouse to control it at all.
I reinstalled all of the BootCamp drivers, and it still doesn't work.

My pc will crash at random times sometimes just when surfing the internet and others when waking it from sleep it will show a BSOD. Almost every time this happens I get a message that says "your pc has recovered the video drivers" I have tried updating drivers and re-installing them and I still get this. Sometimes the pc will go for 2 weeks with out an error other times it is every 1-2 days. I have Attached the Diagnostics information from the tool. I do not know if the issues are related of not.

Recently my monitor stopped responding after being turned off (after 15 minutes). It didn't happen before. I don't know what to do. Should I disable turning off the monitor altogether? I lose all my work when this happens because the only way to get the laptop working again is to press the power button which restarts the computer although the settings are actually that it should go into hibernation when I press the power button, which it does if the display is working, but if it stops responding it restarts the laptop. No other keys work or do anything when this happens.

Twice in last 2 weeks, some of my tiles (Games, Bing News, Store, People, Mail, etc.) have just stopped responding.When clicked, I get a blank screen, then the full Start Screen re-appears.Other tiles such as Chrome, Word and Outlook work OK.When this first happened, I did a system restore, and the problem went away, but this time the restore point seems to have gone too.The 'Change PC Settings' does not work either, as I decided to try a complete refresh, but can't access that.

Windows has become unstable. The action center put up a flag that says "Firmware Linkage Driver has stopped working." My computer is a Toshiba C655-S5132. Upgraded to Win8 64 bit several months ago.

I just bought my new PC, and i got a problem with it: My Logitech K350 Wireless Keyboard randomly stops responding or sending keystrokes to the PC, its likes it lags or disconnects randomly, its very weird. I installed latest drivers, did plug in/out the receiver from different ports to others with no luck.

My autoplay has stopped working on both my sd cards and my dvd drive - this happened in win 8 - and has remained even though I have upgraded to 8.1 - I have set the autoplay settings to ask every time - but still nothing pops up ? - I don't ever remember switching it off ?

I have an external harddrive on a USB2 port that I have been using for ages without problems. Yesterday it just stopped being accessible for no apparent reason. The machine "sees" it (as the F drive) but can't access it. If I try to double click on the F drive the machine takes aaaaaages (green "busy bar" slowly tracking) and then I eventually get an error that says "F: is not accessible" - as per this image:
So I assumed the drive had died. But to test that, I plugged it into my g/f's old XP machine and it accessed the drive with no problems whatsoever!
The only other thing I could think to try was to look in disc management. But even though the is an F drive showing in explorer (as per the above image)... it doesn't even show up in disc management!
So, in exasperation, I did a "refresh" of my system. A bit of a drastic step, but I thought maybe it was time for a cleanup anyway. But, after the refresh was done... STILL the same problem! Exactly as per the above images, the machine "sees" the F drive but nothing is accessible.

This evening I went to use by portable USB drive and noticed it wouldn't work. I tried another port and it still didn't work. I then tried another device on the same ports and it also did not work.
I opened up device manager and saw that my VIA USB xHCI controller was no longer listed under USB controllers. I turned on Show Hidden Devices and it then appeared as a hidden device. I attempted to re-install the drivers for it but the installer wouldn't run because it said it didn't detect the hardware on the system.
I last used the ports 2 nights ago and didn't have any problem then. I thought the problem may have been caused by the Windows updates I installed today so I uninstalled them all, but the USB controller still doesn't work.

My almost year old razer naga epic stopped working and just a little while ago was working perfectly. When I left and came back about 15 minutes later, it stopped working. I tried to use wired mode with/without a battery, I tried re-pairing wireless mode and,7 resetting my computer. I also tried other usb ports on my computer and another computer. I have a Windows 8.1 Lenovo notebook and a Toshiba Satellite Windows 7 laptop, and a mouse.
Well, the mouse has been working fine for 4 months, but suddenly, the mouse has stopped working in my Toshiba laptop. As I didn't know how to fix it, and as Toshiba laptop was full of crap, I've just formatted its HDD and made a clean install of Windows 8.1 and updated everything.
After that, I've plugged the mouse in and the same error: it connects and disconnects all the time. Sometimes, if I'm in the Device Manager refreshing the devices, mysteriously it start to work, but just for a few minutes. Sometimes, and just sometimes, the Device Manager shows that there's an unknown device connected to a USB port that is not working. The error code is 43.
That mouse works perfectly in my other notebook, the lenovo. I've connected a different mouse to the Toshiba and it works perfectly, in any port. So that makes me say this:
-The mouse is not broken, cause it works in my other laptop
-Toshiba's USB ports work nice cause any other device I connect works seamlessly
-After a clean install, it can't be a software problem

I upgraded to Windows 8 yesterday from the Consumer Preview, and while the upgrade seems to have gone along fine, I can no longer access any of my files that were recovered from the windows.old file. Whenever I do, I get a message saying I don't have the right permissions, etc.
I am the sole user on my computer and the security settings in the properties for every file / folder I'm trying to access have my username, and administrators listed as having Full Access.

I've started getting the message Microsoft Mouse & Keyboard Center has Stopped Working (see error report below) when Windows 8 starts. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the latest version of the Mouse & Keyboard Center but still have the same problem.

Went to turn on my computer today and got a screen with the Dell Logo and a message "Boot manager has recovered from a critical error." It went on to say there were missing or corrupt files that were restored from the default configuration. I did a Google search and found absolutely nothing about this error. This laptop is only 2 months old. I couldn't find anything in the event viewer either.

I own an hp pavilion sleekbook 15. Just out of the blue my mouse and touch pad stopped working after a restart. I download a new driver from the hp website, synaptic touch ps/2, installed it and still nothing. After several tries I don't know what to do anymore. I checked the device manager and nothing is installed, when I check the control panel it says reinstall.

I have a Sony Vaio running Windows 8.1 Pro. I was on cs portable with a USB mouse and I pressed a few keys and the mouse stopped to work. It came up with the message that it was not recognized. I tried to uninstall the USB drivers, but had no luck. This problem has been going on for a few days. I tried other solutions but they didn't seem to work. The red LED light was on.

Is it possible to change the default for this message box so that next time I hit enter without reading what the message says I don't lose my work?
I just did this rather foolishly and it would be nice if the default was to save the recovered files not to delete them.

ASUS X55C notebook I had windows 8.1 installed and my comp stop reading blue rays, so I called tech support. they told me to mail it in. they change my HDD cause a bad sector and installed normal windows 8 but changed my dvd/cd rom drive to matshita dvd ram. I use to have matshita dvd ram UJ8A0AS and it did play blue rays. now i'm calling back and they are trying to tell me that my model doesn't play BR's. that's the reason why I bought my computer. their call center verified all that. so can I add that driver to my device manager.

I've just set up a clean system installation (Win 8.1 PRo x64). As a part of it I obviously installed my printer driver. The printer is Lexmark E260d and I use Lexmark Universal Driver downloaded directly from Lexmark's webpage.
My surprise is that after installation I have two such printers available at my system:
- "Lexmark E260" - which is the name I gave during installation,
- "Lexmark International Lexmark E260d" - which is another device appearing as a printer.
Both drivers / devices (?) print correctly yet I can see some differences in their functionality descriptions, when choosing Properties / Hardware. Lexmark E260 device has there "Print queues" only while Lexmark International... device has three types "Printers", "Print queues" and "Universal Serial Bus controllers". Another thing is when I double click on devices icons in "Devices and Printers" window - Lexmark E260 brings well-known list of documents actually being printed and Lexmark International... brings printer configuration dialog allowing to see printing documents, customize printer setting and so on.
Why I have somehow two different printers appearing on my system? Should I remove one of them and which? How can I avoid duplicating devices when installing drivers?
