View 1 RepliesWhen I start A3, it boots up just fine, then when I try to start a campaign/showcase mission or Multiplayer server, the screen starts getting horizontal lines jumping on the screen/blurred blocks sometimes as well, and then my computer either freezes up or automatically restarts, sometimes I can close ARMA n goto desktop but that gets whacked out as well doing the same thing basically on my homescreen. It then proceeds to do the same thing to me when I'm just on the desktop trying to open Google Chrome or any other task for that matter, still getting the "Display Driver Has Stopped Responding and Has Recovered" in the bottom right corner of Windows.
I've literally tried everything regarding troubleshooting this matter and to no success: Updating Drivers/Windows, Tweaking Catalyst CC settings, Disabling Hibernation, Even Refreshing the PC (Windows 8.1), Booting in Safe Mode (MSConfig), scanned for Viruses, complete Reinstall of ARMA 3, ... This has been driving me crazy the last few days and cannot figure out for the life of me why it is doing this now?? ARMA 3 was running great the first 4 or 5 months I've had it and has never had issues like this, it seems it all started after trying to join a server Online and then it crashed and froze and has been doing this Display Driver Error stuff ever since (I did recently download new Mods as well).. Do complete PC Reset is necessary? I mean after the PC Refresh, my desktop and everything else was running amazingly fast and smooth, everything was up to date, I re-installed ARMA 3 and tried again to play this morning, sadly the same errors occurred and Lines are jumping all over my screen and everything is lagging. Mouse works in game to look, shoot etc, but in the HUD/Setup options it doesn't, cant use it to change settings, or click on anything, its just dead. I can see the pointer, move the pointer, but that's it.

Ever since I installed Windows -8 Pro ( 64 bit ) on my MultiMonitor system, all my screens go black with following error message.
" AMD Drivers stopped Responding & has Recovered"
It happens so many times an hour that I had to stop usingWindows -8 completely. Even the worst thing is that if I have more than one harddrive & driver crashes, then on next reboot my system automatically startsdisk checking which takes hours for a 3.0 GB slave HDD. I never had thisproblem with Windows -7 using the same system.

How can we reset the size of the screen that is presented after clicking on a tile in windows 8? I have two monitors and have my desktop going across both monitors the way I like it. However when you click on a windows 8 tile, the screen it brings up fills both monitors. its annoying because whatever I am viewing is centered down the middle of two monitors and trying to read it is awful. I want to be able to set the window size that appears after clicking a tile to be half a screen (only one monitor). How to accomplish this? I know you can go to desktop mode and it will be sized however I like it, but I need to change the size of the windows after clicking the tile.

I have had my computer for over 5 months with no problems it is a dell inspiron 17R. and now every time i turn my computer on this comes up:

Youll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. if you dont have any installation media(like a disc or USB device), contact your system administrator or PC manufacturer.
I have done everything i can think of to try and fix this. I put in the recovery media disc and that didnt work. I followed the directions on several other threads similar to this one and i still come to this blue screen every time i turn the computer on.

I made a recovery USB (system image) on 1st April 2014.
If I need to boot on this USB, my PC will be again exactly as it was on 1st April 2014?
ASUS X55C notebook I had windows 8.1 installed and my comp stop reading blue rays, so I called tech support. they told me to mail it in. they change my HDD cause a bad sector and installed normal windows 8 but changed my dvd/cd rom drive to matshita dvd ram. I use to have matshita dvd ram UJ8A0AS and it did play blue rays. now i'm calling back and they are trying to tell me that my model doesn't play BR's. that's the reason why I bought my computer. their call center verified all that. so can I add that driver to my device manager.

I've just set up a clean system installation (Win 8.1 PRo x64). As a part of it I obviously installed my printer driver. The printer is Lexmark E260d and I use Lexmark Universal Driver downloaded directly from Lexmark's webpage.
My surprise is that after installation I have two such printers available at my system:
- "Lexmark E260" - which is the name I gave during installation,
- "Lexmark International Lexmark E260d" - which is another device appearing as a printer.
Both drivers / devices (?) print correctly yet I can see some differences in their functionality descriptions, when choosing Properties / Hardware. Lexmark E260 device has there "Print queues" only while Lexmark International... device has three types "Printers", "Print queues" and "Universal Serial Bus controllers". Another thing is when I double click on devices icons in "Devices and Printers" window - Lexmark E260 brings well-known list of documents actually being printed and Lexmark International... brings printer configuration dialog allowing to see printing documents, customize printer setting and so on.
Why I have somehow two different printers appearing on my system? Should I remove one of them and which? How can I avoid duplicating devices when installing drivers?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have dell inspiron laptop and 32 bit windows-8. My laptop has inbuilt webcam and it was working fine. But i installed a new external webcam. And both the webcams stopped working. I tried installing driver software from the driver-DVD of my laptop but it also didnt fix it.
The webcam cannot be used by other softwares like skype.
Last night two updates from MS, KB2919355 & KB2961887 were installed. Today the driver for my Epson R3000 printer was gone. Windows 8/8.1 seems to have a problem with this printer, even though Epson claims it is compatible and provides updated drivers. When I updated from Windows 8 to 8.1, it replaced my Epson drivers is a very basic MS generic driver. I had to manually install the Epson drivers again. That was a pain, and took several attempts. Is there a recommended way to install a driver that works?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed Windows 8.1 a few days ago and now I am having problem installing and updating driver software for any hardware. I tried downloading drivers with Windows update which gives error code 8007000d while installing after successfull download while other software updates install fine. Using device manager, it gives a error that windows found the driver but had problem installing it.
And finally, I tried to install it directly using executable but couldn't install. For instance, I tried to install AMD Catalyst software and everything in it installed except the drivers, catalyst control center, hydravision and every application software installed but just not the driver software. I also had problem with bluetooth software. All drivers installed fine when I installed the windows 8.1 but after few days, this problem began and now I am not able to install any of it. P.S. I tried all the measures to solve error 8007000d I found at the internet.
I was installing the AMD beta driver and suddenly, black screen. It somehow restarted and I logged in, but I saw a black screen and after a few seconds, I was thrown back to the login screen. It was the same in safe mode! is there any way to uninstall the driver without a complete wipe? I don't want to start from the beginning again ...

this morning I was playing FIFA 13, charger not plugged in and I noticed there is a performance difference between plugged in and not plugged in. The game was laggy a bit. Then suddenly, my game crash with a black screen first then a pop up yellow exclamation mark warning appears, something about :

I was updating my drivers, and had wanted to update my Synaptics driver. I had removed the older version of Synaptics driver (because I was required to) and wanted to restart. My computer restarts, and I try to install the latest version of the Synaptics driver, it doesn't work. It says "install failed." I have tried multiple times.

Installed 32-bit Win 8.1 onto a Dell D610 (Pentium M 1.86GHz 2GB RAM) and it really works very well. Except for one nagging problem - the 4 left/right click buttons do not work! I have tried several drivers and all give full touch pad functionality (scroll and tap/click) and the keyboard stick works - but both sets of left and right buttons refuse to do anything. All worked with Win 7, so I assume it is a driver problem. I currently have a Logitech USB wireless mouse attached which works fine, but I would like to get the buttons on the laptop functioning.

Before 6 days some person used my computer and after that i started facing this problem that is after every reboot i have to reinstall my drivers or restore the windows to a point that i saved. I have done fresh windows on this PC(three times) also with deleting and creating new partitions but still it keeps coming up. after shutdown when I login to my windows the task bar haves a red cross on network connections icon and in device manager there's an exclamation mark on network drivers. so i have to waste my time for restoring windows or reinstalling my network drivers.

I went to the HP we site and selected the Windows 7 driver but I get an error:

I have downgraded many machines now and this is my 2nd one that I have had issues. My last computer I had to grab drivers from a computer that was close to the same model.
I tried the programs DriverMax and Slimdrives and they found an USB controller driver that seemed to work but when I plug in the flash drive it does nothing.
I downloaded windows 8.1 and installed it. Then I discovered there were no windows 8 drivers for my computer model in the manufacturer website. I use a Notebook "Compaq Presario CQ57", How can I find drivers that will work for it? (most especially the WiFi driver from previous installation of windows 7 did not work for it). I have checked Driverpack Solution website, my PC was not listed among their list of PCs.

I installed my fresh Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64 bits (build 9600), on my Acer V3-571G laptop.
When I go to device manager, and I want uninstall this driver.

When I Disable and Uninstall them, then, it's seems te drivers are gone! But when I restarts mine Laptop, the Imaging devices and bluetooth, comes back?

Just updated my window 8 to window 8.1 last few months and getting trouble with my little printer.
Problem: Driver need troubleshooting (unavailable) but i already install?
1)having problem when install the driver from HP support and downloaded the correct driver which is window 8.1 64bit.
2)when i click install, getting to the usb connection part, it said connection fail (usb connection is really fine, i tried it with another window 8 and window 7 laptop..successful, but my window 8.1 can't).
What i have done after i found the driver error?
1) delete the old driver
2) reinstall the driver
3)try to use update driver option from device manager (comes out this error: The system cannot find the file specified)
