Gaming :: Red Screen After Playing For Around 8 Min Into Bf Game
Sep 15, 2014
I have an ASUS 290X card, and an MSI Z97-Gaming 5 motherboard, and around 8 min into the bf4 game i get a red screen and then i have to press the restart button.
I have a 650 Watt Power Supply, could it be that? I have the Beta Drivers for AMD 14.7 RC3, i used to have 14.4 but same thing occured.
Is there anyway I can make it so that I can still switch between apps while playing a fullscreen Desktop game? (ones that aren't from the Windows 8 store)
After I play a game, no matter what game it is when I quit it my start screen looks like this.
As you can see I'm in quite a pickle, I want to start editing my start screen but I can't and it has nothing to do with the Start Screen wallpaper change because it was doing this before I even used the start screen customizer.
Ever since last night any game I try to open, whether it be an online one on steam or battlenet or an offline one experiences major lag during menu, loading and in game if im lucky to enter. Diablo III took 6 tries before i managed to enter the game where the lagging persisted. Rust and Killing floor major lags i couldnt even enter a game and servers wouldnt open. Fallout 3 on my computer would crash every time. Age of Empires II couldnt open past the windowed menu selection, Saints Row the Third stuck on loading screen. Oblivion wouldnt open due to first time set up DivX failing. Mirrors edge would experience Application load error p: 0000065432.
Im including a DxDiag, SFC Scan result which shows corrupt files unable to be fixed.
My graphics card is Nvdia GeForce 720M Internal graphics card is Intel HD Graphics 4000
i cant seem to run any app related to gaming whatsoever. Per example steam app, league of legends, any other game i have, battle net desktop app. In the steam and battle net desktop apps i click the launcher and it opens the small window (Updtaing steam or updating battle net) and when its done nothing happens. As for games i click the launcher and nothing happens. I've tried launching admin, on a different account, re installing everything nothing works.
I recently purchased a 2nd hand PC back in June and unfortunately have experienced about a dozen BSODs when playing games. They seem to occur randomly. There has been times where I have been able to play games for hours without BSOD at all.
I thought it was an issue with my graphics card drivers so I updated them to the latest version (I believe AMD 14.2) but the Blue screens continued to happen. I restored the drivers back to default and that is what I am currently using.
Two days a go I have downloaded red alert 3 as an ISO file on my new laptop. It is an HP core i7.
When I am trying to install the game using the AutoRun/EASetup I receive a message "Please insert CD/DVD in drive C:"
I have try to run it as administrator, troubleshot it and try it in compatible mode, run it in USB,CD,try to install it in save mode, open it with winrar,re-downloading direct X but ... no dice.
I have been trying to run a modification for game Minecraft.. It's called Single Player commands mod 1.5.1. Whenever I try to run .exe file, it gives me an error.. "Not a valid Win32" application.. I have tried running the .jar file but it says java not installed. i really need to install SPC 1.5
my computer crashes every time I play any game I have. So, what the problem is from the crash report I have or do I have to do a total reinstall of everything?
sometimes when i play one game or just desktop working my pc crash, reboot and thats it.
In device manager is everything ok. When i go into Troubleshooting only in Audio can't find solution. Not sure if problem is Realtek or High definiton codec.
Should i remove High Definition Audio Device or Realtek High Definition?
So the problem is as i said when i play a game like GTA iv first things are workinglike a charm and then after 30 min the textures will load really slowly and that happened like before a week ago
I've just upgraded my OS from Windows 7 to Windows 8. Everything runs smooth, after I have updated most drivers. My fps in games even increases a little (about 10) in general.
I don't hate metro so I haven't done much tweak to the system.
However when I play counter strike : GO, I have ping spikes going to 500 about every 10 minutes. Sometimes fps drops suddenly too. I believe it's some process causing the problem. But it lasts only like 3 seconds. When I tab out and open task manage to check the process I can't hunt it down. I didn't have the problem when I had windows 7.
How do I access a game after downloading from the Store. The Store site states I've downloaded a game although the games folder on my computer is empty.
Ok so for the past few days windows 8 game app acts like its logged in but i don't get my friends list or my avitar and when i click on friends it says can't connect to xbox?, why is it looking for a xbox i havent had one those in a number of years. it use to work just fine i could chat with my friends and so forth see my gamer score and so on and now it just says can't connect to xbox? I can sign in threw the fable 3 game but it uses games for windows live and not the xbox game app on windows 8.
I have a problem. Sometimes when I'm playing a game or any other application, it will minimize without me doing anything. I did a scan with Malwarebytes and it found a virus, I removed it, but this behaviour still continues. I did a sfc /scannow and it found some files that were corrupt but couldn't be repaired. It told me to reboot my computer, and that's what I did but I don't know if the files were repaired or not.
I have this game, it's called BossRan. It's just a private server. So, opened the icon and it just hangs in there and slowly lags my computer until if freezes.

Used to be able to right-click a solitaire game screen and find the option in the lower right corner to start a new game. A facebook link has been added and now I can't find the option to start a new game. Where it went? You can enter a specific game number in the settings screen, but I just want the option back to start a new one without having to go all the way to the point of no more moves.
So when I play BF4, the game started crashing after the latest BF4 patch. I noticed that if I run it at 4.5 or higher BF4 crashes. That is the only program with an issue. My temps are fine, and can run 4.7 stable except for BF4. So now I am playing some BF4 lately, so have gone to 4.2.
I have dell vostro 1500 on which windows 8 installed. Whatever game i install from windows store, doesn't open up. It crashes. Here's the dump of crash report
Every game I open has a separate red and blue 3D appearance. I will attach a pic. The warning in corner is new, tried turning shadows off, no luck also tried a different monitor and different resolutions = same results.
I tried and have managed to run RCT1 almost flawless in compatibility mode (Windows 98/ME and run as administrator). The one thing that bothers me, is that after playing RCT, every window I click on becomes de-activated, except for the window you click on first (after the game closed). Whatever you click on outside that window doesn't do anything, even the taskbar. You can however navigate with no problem in that specific window.
Alt-tabbing to another window does work: it activates the window, but as soon as you click in that window, it becomes de-activated again. It sounds pretty odd, and I think it also is. It bothers me a lot because the only way it seems to go away is after logging back in. I've looked around in the taskmanager, but whatever I did there didn't solve anything. It also hasn't anything to do with the hardware, as both the external mouse and the touchpad (I'm on a laptop) have the exact same issue.
When I play game (FYI I have only played asphalt 8: airborne downloaded from windows store), graphics freezes. I'm not able to do anything within the game or its controls except I can close it. And I have to open the app again to play it. It has happened 4-5 times in the past.Bought this laptop 2 months back. It occurs with and without Microsoft Xbox 360 game controller for PC connected. No other issues with other system performance till now.

When playing games on my laptop, i've been getting warnings that the game (Chivalry and Red Orchestra 2) Use to much memory and should be shut down. I have a Intel HD 4000 graphics and a Nvidia 720m cards in my laptop. Also with 8 GB's of RAM.
bought lenovo ideapad y510p a month ago and its been a havoc since. every time i play games, it begins to freeze or hang after 20-30 minutes. im running windows 8 64bit factory installed. all the drivers are from lenovo itself. this is very frustrating and i feel like cheated after buying 1300$ USD notebook that doesn't runs well.

I've got a new laptop (Dell Inspiron 17r special edition) for 1 week now, and last night I've been playing Devil May Cry and I started noticing lag. Normally, I would play Devil May Cry and Resident Evil 6 on highest settings with google chrome and utorrent running in the background and it would not lag.
When my Turtlebeach x12 is plugged into my computer (runs Windows 8) and I try to launch some steam games the audio plays through the built-in speakers rather than my headset. I've played around with default devices and disabling/enabling different devices, but nothing has worked. In some games like Planetside 2, the in-game option to set the output device to the headphones works perfectly, but in most other games (e.g. Left for Dead), audio still plays out of my speakers. When I disable the speakers there is no game sound at all. This also wasn't an issue on my old laptop that runs Windows 7. Is there any way to here the game audio from my headset?
