Audio :: Front And Rear Audio Jacks Not Working
Jul 19, 2014i've been having this problem since I THINK starting to use a HDMI wire. But now, i cannot get any audio from the audio jacks, they are detected, but no sound is produced and I just cannot figure it out. I've disabled the HDMI, installed, un-installed, re-installed audio drivers and pretty much any method and i can find thus far and nothing at all has worked. I'm a huge lover of music, and the is driving me insane!
Note: The speakers are fine, they work with my iPhone.

Jan 28, 2014I upgraded my laptop software to win8.1. My webcam in the device manager looks to the integrated camera but webcam is not working. I tested by Dell PC Diagnostics shows my webcam is installed and its picture from camera showed but windows camera app and all app don't show anything.

Apr 10, 2014I have a Dell laptop running Windows 8.1 and my camera app recently stopped working. When I open the app a message comes up saying - We can't get to the camera roll right now.Something went wrong while accessing the camera roll.
I assume that the default save location for photos and videos is my pictures library but there is definitely a folder there called "Camera Roll" so what is the problem? Also, is there any way that I can get the photos to save to SkyDrive?

I've edited the host file with notepad with administrator permissions
192.168.118.129 localhost
But localhost is still resolving 127.0.0.1
I am not using a proxy. I had McAfee (Firewall, antivirus) but I uninstalled it.
I don't have any program like box.com / dropbox, IIS, Apache installed yet.
I tried to temporary disable some service but without success.
My Laptop is a Dell Inspiron by the way.
Dell :: Recover Windows 8 After Changing Hard Drive
Feb 18, 2014I have an Inspiron 14Z 5423, and my hard drive crashed, after running the dell diagnostic tool, it pops up an error code 2000-0142 when it starts analyzing the hard drive, but despite this, i can still access the hard drive using Ubuntu Live DVD ...
Any ways, i noticed there is a second hard drive/partition of 32 GO which i think is supposed to contain the OS image or something similar, so if i buy a new hard drive, could i recover my original windows OS ?!
Audio :: Rear Speakers Not Working?
Mar 19, 2014all plugged in new computer drivers up to dateset to quadraphonic they were working yesterday but they appear to have stopped on their own. the test speaker option worked at first but now they dont when i click the speaker icon to test on the sound playback options tab the level indicator shows green as though they are working but there is no sound coming out of the rear speakers

Jun 23, 2014I have problem that just crept up, my rear usb ports are malfunctioning. when I plug my mouse in the light underneath it comes on, but the mouse is not operational. The keyboards numlock light doesn't even go on.
My front ports are working now, but this is greatly inconveniencing me because, my scanner, printer, and headphones were plugged into there and now I have access to neither.
This started as soon as I plugged my phone into the front usb port as I have done over a thousand times with multiple phones even of dubious origin with no such a result.

May 31, 2014And it happens only when I boot the computer up and find that neither my keyboard or mouse are working then I plug them into front (2) avaialable usb ports and they work fine....
And then If I try to uninstall universal bus controllers by device manager then my keyboard + mouse stops working (obviously) then I shutdown via power button .... plug keyboard+mouse again back to rear usb ports... and they start working till few days...
I'm on windows 8.1 x64 with latest updates and all latest drivers etc...
The funny thing is this problem is with me since last 2 years or so... and I changed 3 Power supplies since then and luckily one motherboard, changed 3 mouses and 1 keyboard, 1 Hard disk too
even if they are plugged in rear ports I get "USB Disconnection" sound sometimes....
now thinking about buying a bluetooth keyboard + mouse but there are other things that needed to be plug in into rear ports... or should I go for an internal USB 2.0 PCI card ?

Aug 30, 2013I've had this problem ever since I upgraded to Windows 8.
I was initially a Windows Vista user, and this headset worked perfectly fine on the Vista Home Premium OS. However, ever since my upgrade to Windows 8 Pro the microphone refuses to pick up sound.
I have done everything from uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, Realtek specifically to plugging it in through the back of my tower. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that it is not a hardware problem, as I use this same headset with my Xbox 360.
I've gone in and changed the settings via the sound menu, I have done literally everything I can find thus far. The microphone is detected, however there is constantly one bar of sound pick up from the microphone. My voice isn't even picked up from the Microphone set up menu. I've unmuted the front mic through the sound menu as well, but I still get nothing. I've reset everything to default countless times, and I still get no results.
The headset I am using specifically is the Red Samurai Xbox 360 Stereo Headset.
Unallocated Space In Front Of System Reserved

I've used GParted before and I'm guessing I am going to have to make a backup of the C drive and then move it around. (and I know, only 10MB free on C drive. )

How To Save Px From Camera Into Win 8
May 22, 2014i was able to get as far as having the px load from camera to computer & somehow all px got installed into the computer but only temporarily ! While camera was still attached to tower, I clicked on Control Panel/Computer/then the list of programs in computer and then i saw the name of the camera (cannon Power Shot) ...then Cannon 100, clicked on that and then saw all px - was able to individually email some to myself but when i detached cable from tower to camera and went back to ''Computer'' found Cannon 100 but no px were there -so obviously i wasn't able to save them.....but strangely enough 3 of the downloaded px were in the ''DCIM' folder (whatever that term means)...but i don't know how those 3 got there ! So i got far enough to download & 'view' but don't know how to ''save'' the px in the computer for future viewing without the necessity of attaching the camera....besides i'd like to delete some px from the camera once saved into the computer.....I'm so used to XP

May 30, 2013Windows 8 problems. How to easily and quickly download selected photos from my camera. When I tried it was taking forever as the system seemed to be going through opening every single photo on my camera and I gave up waiting. Apr 5, 2014I just got my tablet and the first thing I did is have it start in Desktop-mode so I never have to see that awful and useless toy Metro UI. Even on a tablet the desktop is superior. Go figure. I hate every time I accidentally click that "Start" button which brings me to Metro.
Anyway, the only way I can use the built-in camera from desktop is to "search" for camera and the Metro camera app shows up and I can take pictures. I even created a desktop short cut in desktop mode for that camera. But since that is a Metro app, it doesn't seem to work from Desktop.
1. is there a way to make this Metro camera app work from Desktop?
2. Is there a different desktop app or program to use camera from desktop?
It also would be nice to be able to zoom and have flashlight etc. this camera doesn't seem as great as my phone camera. Or am I missing something?

I was told by Sony that neither Windows Vista, Windows 7 nor Windows 8 will recognize the camera when using a USB cable.
