Debugging :: BSOD Randomly With Unidentified Driver

System Win 8.1 Pro 64
P5W DH Deluxe BIOS 3002 with Q9650 3ghz quad. 8GB mem. nVidia Eng450 GTS, Creative X-Fi platinum sound card, TP Link 450N dual band Wifi adapter
I have been having continual BSOD at the rate of 1 or 2 a day since I installed Windows 8.1 on the 9-Apr-2014.
The errors are not consistent and so at first I suspected memory.
I have run every memory test including memtest86 for several hours at a time but could not find any problem. Regardless I bought and replaced all my memory with new. I am currently running my DDR2-1066mhz (5-5-5-15) memory at 875mhz (5-6-6-18) so well underclocked.
I have replaced my CPU! The graphics card is new NVidia ENG 450GTS and I found having the NVIDIA HD Audio drivers enabled would cause many BSODs even though I didn't use that functionality. They are now disabled.
I was getting a lot of internet download errors and so I replaced an incorrectly recognized WIFI driver (detected as Atheros) for the correct TP link driver.
I let DriverVerifier run for over a day with no errors detected.
I let Windows 8 memory test tool run with no errors.
I have looked at the minidumps but I'm not expert enough to determine the cause.
Just when I think I've found the problem and resolved the issue BOOM another BSOD.
I have no antivirus software except defender!
I have run SFDiagTool and the output can be found at:

My computer has always had intermittent BSOD but generally it's been only 1-2 a month and after a system restart everything works fine. In the last couple of weeks I've been getting BSOD after only a few minutes of operation every time I start up and generally after these errors the computer won't boot - sometimes it will be a black screen after BIOS check, sometimes it won't even get that far - just black screen without the BIOS check even starting. Usually the only way to get it to boot again is to disconnect the power and remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard. I've run driver verifier which has indeed generated it's own minidumps but I don't really understand what these error reports are trying to tell me.

So, yesterday is the first time this has happened. It has never happened before. The first time it happened yesterday, I Was watching some TV shows online, and then I got the PAGE_FAULT(...) error code.
I tried running my Anti_Malware scanner to see if that could pick something up. It crashed again just as it started.
So I tried Advanced SystemCare. Again, same problem.
And it just keeps happening.
I tried refreshing my computer to see if that would do anything, but it crashed during that too.
I ran the SF Diagnostic program and I have the .DMP files (But I can't seem to upload them. Maybe I'm trying to upload the wrong ones, I don't know.)
Anyway, these are the specs of my system. HP ENVY DV-7 7270CA (less than 8 months old) running Windows 8 (as I wasn't able to update to 8.1. I got the 0x80000004 error, or whatever it was. I can't remember exactly), 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM, Intel Core i7 3630QM, NVIDIA GT630M (2GB) GPU, and a 1TB 5400RPM HDD. Don't know what brand, I didn't check.

I've been constantly having problems with random freezes on Asus N76Vz notebook @ Windows 8.1 x 64 with latest updates. I don't remember updating any drivers or installing any software that could be capable of doing that, so it has begun out of sudden.
Freezes are actually pretty weird. It starts with a partial freeze, i.e. I can still switch between opened programs, I can still open new tabs in Chrome (it won't open any new sites though, just rotating circle icon), winamp will keep playing music etc., actually all programs will freeze only partially, nothing like I've ever seen before. But I can't close any currently opened programs or open new ones, including task manager. Explorer (+Classic shell) will freeze (become completely non-responding) as well, so sooner or later, I will have to force shutdown computer and turn it on again.
Where to look at because there's not a single minidump report. S.M.A.R.T status is telling me that SSD (with latest firmware) and HDD (0 bad sectors) are completely fine (checked with Hard Disk Sentinel). Computer is not infected nor have ever been (Comodo Internet Security for active protection, also scanned with malwarebytes, hitmanpro, TDSSkiller and adw cleaner). I have the latest BIOS and the latest drivers from official ASUS support website.
There are no other problems with Windows, except a lot of times I can't reboot Windows normally - it will stay at reboot screen forever. I've already tried turning off hybrid shutdown.
And another problem unrelated to Windows freezing mentioned above. Sometimes I can't close an application (Winamp and iTunes mostly) and killing in task manager from Processes tab also won't do anything. But if I try to kill it from Details tab, I get "The operation could not be completed. Access is denied." error. I've Googled about that one as well, most solutions were solved by unplugging USB devices, but I don't have any connected at all, so dead end here too. I've also tried with Unlocker and FileAssasin and they can't do anything as well in that case.
Since there are no minidumps, I've collected system, application and administrative events around occurrence of random crash. I'm also posting system summary and hardware report from AIDA64.

I am getting a BSOD since one week randomly with the message IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. BlueScreen Viewer showes me, that it is caused by the driver ntoskrnl.exe. Before I got this BSOD I updated my Windows 8.1 to Windows 8.1.1 . Since this time, this error happens randomly!
My system specs are the following:
Laptop: Asus S400 CA
CPU: Intel Core I5 3317 U @ 1,70 GHz
Memory: 8 GB
Graphics: Intel HD Grpahics 4000
Mainbord: Asustek S400 CA
Antivirus: Avast! Internet Security (Version: 140512-0)
Before I got this IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR _EQUAL error I also got the BSOD Driver_Power_State_Failure. I figured out, that it might be the Bluetooth Driver, as buescreenviewer stated the driver causing the error is btfilter.sys.
I attached also a SF Diagnostic Tool File!.

I have bought my laptop before 2 months and i have BSOD since then , nno matter what im doing ... Once it happened while there was no one using the laptop .
p.s. here are some of the BSOD codes i had :
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM
SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXPEPTION
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
they are different everytime
p.s.2 when i bought the laptop it had linux installed ( i think ) or it was ready for install . Could the problem come from there , and if yes what can i do about it . Im not so known with those things . Ive heard about a hidden memory which should be deleted (if there was linux before ) and its going to fix the problem , but i dont know what is that memory and where i can find it. Ive send the laptop on authorized repair service of Acer ( cuz my laptop is still in guaranty ) , and yes they didnt fix it .... 2 times ... the first time they gave me the laptop with new HD , second time they told me something about a "weak connection" that they "fixed". BUT my laptop is still here and i ahve BSOD randomly 2-3 tiems a day , and every game crashes after 10-30 mins after start . I wil lsay it again - the BSOD appeared once or twice without me even touching the laptop

Computer has been recently crashing every so often. I update most of my driver, which at first seemed to fix the issue, but the BSOD started again. It also seems to crash when I am using IE11 desktop over Chrome but have not confirmed this yet.

My computer Bluescreens very randomly without giving much information on what caused it.I can sometimes go a full day without a single bsod and somedays I get 10 within 30 mins. Only connection I've (maybe) figured out is that all these bsod's seem to happen when my comp is connected to internet and either downloading something or sending something. Like when I log into games and try to connect into a server i get bsod...or if I don't I can play that game for hours only to get the bsod when I quit game and return to desktop. Sometimes using chrome just to browse web or switching tracks on spotify can cause issues aswell.
My computer was first bought and build around 2012 with some upgrades such as more ram and new GPU. I've ran this comp with a stable OC of 4.0/4.0 and never before having any problems with either my system heating up or freezing. Now I've returned to stock clocks to rule out any unstable oc.
I'v done pretty much all i know about debugging and trying to figure out which programs/drivers/hardware are causing my system to be so randomly unstable. My head keeps telling me this is some driver related cause it started what seems to be "all of a sudden"
Things I've done:
Return stock OC
Ran memtest for 14 passes = 0 errors
Ran Prime for ~4 hours = 0 errors and temps maxed at 60 c

A couple of weeks ago my old PSU blew up. It did kind of like a explosion sound and some flashing, very impressive. I inspected the motherboard and I could not find any damage whatsoever. Only the PSU seemed affected.
After that I bought a new PSU (Tacens MP700 - 700W), an aftermarket CPU fan (Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO) and some extra chasis fan to improve air flow and lower the temperature. I plugged everything in, and system started with no apparent issues.
However since a few days ago sometimes my PC restarts without saying anything, some other time it just freezes (very annoying) and some other times it gives me a BSOD with the errors CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT. The frequency of these failures:
- Normal use like browsing, email, programming --> not very often
- Playing game like iRacing --> sometimes it freezes
- Playing game like PES2014 --> it always freezes, sometimes during the first match, sometimes after a 2-3 of them
After googling it appears is a hardware problem so I wonder if the damn PSU damaged some of my other components. The thing is the original PSU was intended to be for a quiet HTPC but I started to work from home and suddenly became a work station. I should have improved the PSU among with the other components (CPU, memory, etc.) but I did not think it was necessary. Bad decission I guess.
I've monitored temperature and it does not seem to be the issue as using a benchmark software at 100% CPU during 30 minutes temperature does not go over 65C on the CPU (I live in Spain where ambient temperature is around 30) and motherboard never pass 68-70. Right now while browsing temp is 35 for the CPU, 45 for the mobo and graphic, 30 for HDD. Pretty normal I think.
I have also upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 hoping it was a driver issue but not success either.
Find attached the SF report. Added new crash info:

My computer has been randomly crashing for almost 1 week now. I initially thought it was caused by Avast, but uninstalling it didn't solve the problem. I then updated my network card driver as suggested by an error in one of the dump files, but that too wouldn't do it. I ran the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter, shut off the computer for 3 hours in hopes for it to cool off, but no luck there either. I remember having this problem 1 year ago and I was advised then to update my graphics card driver , but the update process wouldn't complete successfully. The computer always crashed each time before the finish line, so I was advised to use the OS generic driver instead and I've lived in peace ever since until this issue resurfaced ~1 week ago.
Latest crash: The latest BSOD crash occurred today at 6:53 AM EST and here's what could explain the problem according to BlueScreenView:
Bug Check String: BAD_POOL_HEADER
Bug Check Code: 0x00000019
Caused By Driver: ntoskrnl.exe
Caused By Address: ntoskrnl.exe+7b340
File Description: NT Kernel & System
Here are my environment details:
OS: Windows 8
Processor: AMD Athlon || X4 635 2.9 GHz, 64-bit
RAM: 14.0 GB (13.7 GB Usable) => custom installed
Display driver: ATI Radeon HD 4200 (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1) => As explained above.
Make: HP Pavilion p6520f
Browser: FF 29 (same issue with the latest release of Chrome and IE 10)
I've also attached a zip of the dump files.

This started happening around 4 days ago but, since then I have system restored to a previous point and yet the problem has persisted. It has recently dropped below freezing around where I live which is unusual; however, I am in a dorm and the temperature has remained constant. I haven't really downloaded anything harmful that I am aware of in the past few days either. I also hope I got the dump files thing sorted out correctly considering there is no BSOD.

I keep getting blue screens and the last one said Kernel security check failure. I'm not sure if the other failures were with the same error but I would assume they were. The laptop crashes while getting shut down, during several hours of use and today when I turned it on it failed straight away. I hope I've correctly posted the zip file.

Been experiencing seemingly random BSOD's for the past few weeks, and completely unable to solve the problem myself. It happens from a minute or two after startup to after 3 or 4 hours or working, and sometimes doesn't crash on intensive apps like Furmark.
I'm running a Lenovo Y400 with the newest Nvidia drivers, and have attempted rolling back and uninstalling with DDU but no success.

Today I purchased a Dell Inspiron 3000 series laptop, running Windows 8.1 Update 1 64-bit. However, whenever I shut down or reboot, I get a BSOD with the error, DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. Strangely, it only occurs when I am running on battery power, and after the up time of the machine is 7 minutes. If it's plugged into AC then I don't have any issues.
The minidump shows that the problem seems to be caused by NTOSKRNL.exe.

I am getting these BSOD recently saying "driver irql not less or equal........" . While trying to use SF_Diagnostic_Tool I received this msg too...
Code:
See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.************** Exception Text **************System.IO.IOException: Could not complete operation on some files and directories. See the Data property of the exception for more details. at Microsoft.VisualBasic.FileIO.FileSystem.FxCopyOrMoveDirectory(CopyOrMove operation, String sourceDirectoryPath, String targetDirectoryPath, Boolean overwrite) at Microsoft.VisualBasic.FileIO.FileSystem.CopyOrMoveDirectory(CopyOrMove operation, String sourceDirectoryName, String destinationDirectoryName, Boolean overwrite,
[Code] .....
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer rather than be handled by this dialog box.
I then somehow managed to get the files needed by ignoring all those error messages.

I just got my ASUS G750 from Bestbuy a few weeks ago. I've been encountering this same BSOD since I got it (after installing programs). Lately it seems to be happening when I close a game from the battle.net app and attempt to open another. Other than that it almost seems to happen completely at random.

I recently got a BSOD before this BSOD the BSOD happened yesterday was kernel_data_input_error and I think I have fixed it? but the computer is still a little slow, and I noticed my Disk usage is most of the time at 100% then the apps(Browsers, task managers etc2) doesn't respond and now This BSOD Driver Power State Failure happened. I read that it's about an incompatible driver, but I don't know how to detect an incompatible driver because I refreshed windows 8.

After having to do a complete system restore (automatic repair loop) my computer now comes up with the Driver Power State Failure BSOD when restarting, shutting down and turning on normally works fine.
I don't really want to try and navigate through all the windows updates as that requires a lot of restarting, and usually some sort of software conflict means it all gets put back anyway.
As far as I can remember, the 47015-01.dmp and 41125-01.dmp occurred 8 hours earlier than the file creation time, as my time zone was set to UTC-8, and i'm on GMT.

I've recently come into a problem booting up my laptop. Just downloaded the new nvidia drivers and rebooted my laptop. Now im getting the bsod and I can just make out that it says driver irql not less or equal before it reboots and goes through the whole process again. I've tried using an installation disc to try the automatic repair or whatever its called but after about 10 tries it keeps telling me windows couldn't fix the problem. Is there any chance of recovering what I had? I've tried a system restore but it keeps telling me I need to select my operating system (?).
