I'm currently experiencing constant BSOD specifially the driver error irql tcpip.sys error for about every 15-20 minutes.
I have attached the zip file containing the computer info for reference.
It is really difficult to use the computer now.
Lenovo IdeaPad Y480 (Model 2093), Windows 8.1, everything is updated. I was having some WiFi issues which were solved by updating the WiFi driver, now it's giving me the BSOD "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (NETIO.SYS)" whenever I have uTorrent running.

The issue was caused by NetWorx, which I was using to monitor my bandwidth. Uninstalled and no more BSOD.
I am having problems with my laptop, it is crashing again and again whenever i am using utorrent!
A blue screen comes and then the windows restart!
It's been a while since I have this ("driver_irql_not_less_or_equal, ndis.sys or netio.sys") error and it occurs whenever I try to download a file with uTorrent and a few times while downloading with IDM, I hope that my PC is not dead.
View 1 Replies View RelatedToday I purchased a Dell Inspiron 3000 series laptop, running Windows 8.1 Update 1 64-bit. However, whenever I shut down or reboot, I get a BSOD with the error, DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. Strangely, it only occurs when I am running on battery power, and after the up time of the machine is 7 minutes. If it's plugged into AC then I don't have any issues.
The minidump shows that the problem seems to be caused by NTOSKRNL.exe.
My PC keeps crashing and as far as I remember it happens while I'm using uTorrent, but I don't know for sure.
I'm using Windows 8 64 bit and I attached my SF file.
The BSOD displays "system_service_exception (win32k.sys)" when I launch TreePad Business Edition (Treepad Business Edition: All-in-one Organizer, PIM/database, Word Processor, notes manager, search engine, Web site generator and much more!) from the PC or SD card; same result in XP or W7 compatibility mode. After searching for the error code, I am reading this relates to a hardware driver.
TreePad shows Windows 8 is supported on the home page (Treepad: Personal Information Manager, Notes Organizer, Word Processor, PIM, Database and more!) but not on the Business Edition page. As well, while running the install wizard, Windows 8 is listed as compatible. Attempts to contact TreePad about this issue and to verify supported Windows' versions have been unsuccessful.
I'm using a ASUS S56CA ultrabook which runs VERY SLOWLY (takes 5+ minutes to boot up)! OS is Windows 8.1 with ALL the latest Windows Updates installed.
I get the BSOD error "Driver_Power_State_Failure" usually when trying to enter sleep mode or using the Instant ON feature from ASUS .. neither of them work properly so after researching online I've decided to REMOVE the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (Intel RST) RAID Driver .. reboot and it's still VERY slow to boot. I've also tried to d/l new drivers from the ASUS website (only BIOS and few others) which were also installed but still get same results. The Intel HD 4000 Graphics is also out of date but I cannot d/l the update from the intel website .. shows file not available?
It also does NOT shut down completely .. select Shut Down from the menu and screen goes BLACK but power never goes off .. so I must manually hold the power button 5 seconds to shut down.
Finally, I've turned OFF ALL power saving features in Power Options .. no sleep .. no turn HDD off, etc.
I need to know how to fix this system so it does NOT take 5 minutes to boot up.
I'm also attaching the last 4 minidump files for review .. plus I'll use the SF utility tonight to get the other suggested files.
My computer has always had intermittent BSOD but generally it's been only 1-2 a month and after a system restart everything works fine. In the last couple of weeks I've been getting BSOD after only a few minutes of operation every time I start up and generally after these errors the computer won't boot - sometimes it will be a black screen after BIOS check, sometimes it won't even get that far - just black screen without the BIOS check even starting. Usually the only way to get it to boot again is to disconnect the power and remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard. I've run driver verifier which has indeed generated it's own minidumps but I don't really understand what these error reports are trying to tell me.

For example, after installing these updates, every time I run uTorrent, I get a Blue Screen of Death, almost instantly. The problem is not with the software because I always used the same and nothing ever happened like that. The Blue Screens of Death were more frequent when the software was run. I researched a lot and saw a lot of people reported problems with the update KB2821895 and have not yet emerged any official response or fix patch from Microsoft. I was instructed to run in the command prompt, the following commands:
sfc / scannow
dism / online / clean-up / restoreheath
The problem is that when I run the sfc / scannow, after checking 100%, he is just standing there, frozen in 100% with no response.
And running *** / restorehealth, there was much delay and it got stuck at 20% and after a long time went to 40% where it has remained for hours, so it haven't finished the way it should.

I have been having continual BSOD at the rate of 1 or 2 a day since I installed Windows 8.1 on the 9-Apr-2014.
The errors are not consistent and so at first I suspected memory.
I have run every memory test including memtest86 for several hours at a time but could not find any problem. Regardless I bought and replaced all my memory with new. I am currently running my DDR2-1066mhz (5-5-5-15) memory at 875mhz (5-6-6-18) so well underclocked.
I have replaced my CPU! The graphics card is new NVidia ENG 450GTS and I found having the NVIDIA HD Audio drivers enabled would cause many BSODs even though I didn't use that functionality. They are now disabled.
I was getting a lot of internet download errors and so I replaced an incorrectly recognized WIFI driver (detected as Atheros) for the correct TP link driver.
I let DriverVerifier run for over a day with no errors detected.
I let Windows 8 memory test tool run with no errors.
I have looked at the minidumps but I'm not expert enough to determine the cause.
Just when I think I've found the problem and resolved the issue BOOM another BSOD.
I have no antivirus software except defender!

I just got my ASUS G750 from Bestbuy a few weeks ago. I've been encountering this same BSOD since I got it (after installing programs). Lately it seems to be happening when I close a game from the battle.net app and attempt to open another. Other than that it almost seems to happen completely at random.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI bought a computer in December from powernotebooks, but its a sager. I get random blue screens mostly when gaming but sometimes even when on desktop or surfing the web. When the Nvidia card is turned off, and the onboard one is only running, the computer will never crash, when I turn the NVidia on the crashes are almost immediate.

I recently got a BSOD before this BSOD the BSOD happened yesterday was kernel_data_input_error and I think I have fixed it? but the computer is still a little slow, and I noticed my Disk usage is most of the time at 100% then the apps(Browsers,task managers etc2) doesn't respond and now This BSOD Driver Power State Failure happened. I read that it's about an incompatible driver, but I don't know how to detect an incompatible driver because I refreshed windows 8.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter having to do a complete system restore (automatic repair loop) my computer now comes up with the Driver Power State Failure BSOD when restarting, shutting down and turning on normally works fine.
I don't really want to try and navigate through all the windows updates as that requires a lot of restarting, and usually some sort of software conflict means it all gets put back anyway.
As far as I can remember, the 47015-01.dmp and 41125-01.dmp occurred 8 hours earlier than the file creation time, as my time zone was set to UTC-8, and i'm on GMT.
I just recently got a BSOD on my laptop DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. I'm also guessing this is the reason that my computer seems to not sleep consistently.

Almost every time this happens I get a message that says "your pc has recovered the video drivers" I have tried updating drivers and re-installing them and I still get this. Sometimes the pc will go for 2 weeks with out an error other times it is every 1-2 days. I have Attached the Diagnostics information from the tool. I do not know if the issues are related of not.

NB: This is a custom built PC with an Asus P8H61-M LX3 Plus R2.0 mobo.
I get BSOD when i play the games and try to install samsung usb driver. I searched that issue but i couldn't find a solution but i found out how to reduce it. I downloaded my gpu little. Now it is problem for me.

Since then I don't really have any problems, until I got my BSOD about DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER today. I just booted up the PC normally, logged in to the desktop(not Start screen), and waited for a moment. Then I got this BSOD.
PS. I did not do any hardware driver updates recently.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently come into a problem booting up my laptop. Just downloaded the new nvidia drivers and rebooted my laptop. Now im getting the bsod and I can just make out that it says driver irql not less or equal before it reboots and goes through the whole process again. I've tried using an installation disc to try the automatic repair or whatever its called but after about 10 tries it keeps telling me windows couldn't fix the problem. Is there any chance of recovering what I had? I've tried a system restore but it keeps telling me I need to select my operating system (?).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI Just installed a fresh windows 8 on my computer and it worked fine until I installed the nvidia drivers. Without nvidia drivers it works fine, but after installing it it starts to freeze and crash. After I remove the nvidia driver is it works fine again. I tried the newest and the older nvidia drivers but none of them were stable. The symtopms are different each time. Sometimes BSOD sometimes some part of graphics on the screen goes pink sometimes the screen blacks out and does not return until I hard reset it.

I woke up this morning and I had a Driver Power State Failure message on my computer. I've spent all day trying to get it fixed and I'm about to throw this 3 month old laptop through the window (I'm running a Lenovo Y510P with Windows 8.1).
In addition to the BSOD when I try to shut down my computer it never actually shuts down. The screen will go black for about 5 minutes but the light on the power button stays on and the computer starts back up again on its own. However it never actually gets to the desktop. The circle of dots just keeps going and going and after I force it to shut down twice the Automatic Repair kicks in but it says it couldn't fix the issue. When I enter the advanced options and do a system restore I can finally get to the desktop. When I try doing a system restore from the desktop it will get to the end and I get an error message saying it didn't work.
When I get to the desktop some things just don't work right. Right click on a folder, clicking on the file explorer pinned to the taskbar, etc. locks explorer up for a minute then nothing happens.
I've also ran SFC and a it said some files were corrupt and couldn't be repaired. Attached are my log files.
