Debugging :: BSOD During Certain Game / General Use?

Jan 27, 2014

So the other day I turned on my computer and started up SWTOR. As the game was loading I got a BSOD, it disappeared too quick for my to see what it was so I started it up and it wanted to check my discs before windows started up so I let it. When windows popped up started up Chrome to see if I could get more info and it was saying it was corrupted. Eventually it crashed on me again so I got out my phone and snapped a shot (imgur: the simple image sharer). Looked up the code and it suggested hard drive failure or corrupted system files.

So I decided to clean install Windows 7 (which I was using at the time) and see if the problem persist. I eventually got the same BSOD during while installing some programs. Then I downloaded the seagate utilities to check my hard drive to see if it it had a problem. First test caused a crash, second test passed, and third and fourth test also caused a crash. Figuring my hard drive was shot picked up a new one today and installed Windows 8.1 to try it out. Everything was going fine during minimal use so I decide to try something a little more and installed SWTOR again. The computer shut off this time with no BSOD while it was nearing the end of the install. Booted it back up, finished the install, and then started it up. Each time while it was loading it would shut off.

What ever the problem was I think is still persisting but is no longer giving a BSOD I think due to the OS change. Im not sure where to go from here to find a solution.

Original BSOD Code: 0x00000f4 (0x0000000000000003 0xfffffa800a1deb30 0xfffffa800a1dee10 0xfffff800035d5d80)

Debugging :: BSOD On Every Start - Lags In General

Feb 2, 2014

When I start up my computer, go into windows, it takes a while to load then I get bsod and it restarts then works perfect, so now if I run it cold, I reset it immediately after switching it on, then it works. WTF?!

Plus now, it has started getting really slow and it lags. Like if I play music off my hard-drive, my 2tb storage, then open up chrome or do anything it gives me this electrical sounding lag. What can I do?

Debugging :: BSOD When Playing Any Game

Jul 23, 2014

I recently purchased a 2nd hand PC back in June and unfortunately have experienced about a dozen BSODs when playing games.
They seem to occur randomly. There has been times where I have been able to play games for hours without BSOD at all.

I thought it was an issue with my graphics card drivers so I updated them to the latest version (I believe AMD 14.2) but the Blue screens continued to happen. I restored the drivers back to default and that is what I am currently using.

Debugging :: BSOD While Loading Game The Secret World

Aug 13, 2014

The past few days i've been having a lot of errors, which even made my computer go super slow, which made me reset most of the computer files.

It was solved, up untill I started having errors again yesterday, "KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR"s.

It happens whenever a game I play (or try to, atm) is in it's loading screen. The name of the game is "The Secret World".

Now it also crashes whenever the windows updates start installing on the restart after their download, with the message "C:WINDOWSSystem32LogfilesSrtSrtTrail.txt".

Debugging :: BSOD When Capturing Game-play With Shadow-play / Bandicam / Fraps

May 25, 2014

I just got my new laptop, it came without an OS, so I installed Windows 8.1 Pro.

I've only got BSOD so far when:

-Recording Counter-Strike Source with either NVIDIA Shadowplay, Fraps or Bandicam. It happens allmost instantly after starting recording (about 15-30 seconds).

.Just playing Asphalt 8: Airborne (from the store). One time I got BSOD almost instantly, another time I played for a couple of minutes before I exited the game myself.

I did not get BSOD when:

-Playing Counter-Strike Source and using Skype (and not recording).

-Recording Arma 3 (recorded for 1 hour).

These are the erros I've been able to capture (when playing CSS and recording):

BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NOEXECUTE_MEMORY
KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE
PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
KMODE_EXEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (win32k.sys)
KMODE_EXEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

And I also did ran Memtest86+ twice: [URL] ....

Debugging :: Computer Rebooting When Running A Game

Jun 9, 2014

I have currently been experiencing a new problem with my PC. This problem occurs when I am running any game on my computer. When running a game for a few minutes, my tower begins to make a loud noise, which I assume is caused by the fans spinning faster and faster inside, then my display monitor goes black but then notifies me with a "no signal" message. While this is happening, my tower is still on as the power button still has back lighting, in fact the back lighting never disappears unless I physically have to turn my PC off.

I would say I have been experiencing this problem fairly recently - about a week ago this problem arose. The reboot only ever occurs when I am running a game and not when I am browsing the internet, watching videos, running other programs like Word or Skype etc...

The games I am running also had the video settings on high and I have noticed that when I put the video settings on low it buys me a little more time before my system reboots.

3-tone Sound While General Use Of PC With Win 8.1

Jan 24, 2014

my girlfriend recently (yesterday) bought a brand new computer with Windows 8.1. Long story short; while she's browsing, doing every-day stuff, at no definite interval, the computer plays an odd 3 tone sound that goes from a high tone to a lower, and the third one even lower than that. It occurs randomly, as often as several times per minute, to one time per five-ten minutes. From the "feel" of the sound I'd say it's a notification from an app running in the background, but I can't locate it. It also lags the mouse input for a really short time when played (some milliseconds).

I myself have a Surface RT with 8.1, but I've never heard that specific sound before.

Debugging :: Keep Getting BSoD Randomly - Can't Pin It Down

Feb 5, 2014

So, yesterday is the first time this has happened. It has never happened before. The first time it happened yesterday, I Was watching some TV shows online, and then I got the PAGE_FAULT(...) error code.

I tried running my Anti_Malware scanner to see if that could pick something up. It crashed again just as it started.

So I tried Advanced SystemCare. Again, same problem.

And it just keeps happening.

I tried refreshing my computer to see if that would do anything, but it crashed during that too.

I ran the SF Diagnostic program and I have the .DMP files (But I can't seem to upload them. Maybe I'm trying to upload the wrong ones, I don't know.)

Anyway, these are the specs of my system. HP ENVY DV-7 7270CA (less than 8 months old) running Windows 8 (as I wasn't able to update to 8.1. I got the 0x80000004 error, or whatever it was. I can't remember exactly), 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM, Intel Core i7 3630QM, NVIDIA GT630M (2GB) GPU, and a 1TB 5400RPM HDD. Don't know what brand, I didn't check.

Debugging :: BSOD When The PC Start The Day After

Jun 17, 2014

-Ram-TEST lasted nine hours and successfully completed
-Change the motherboard (ASUS Sabertooth 990FX From R2.0 to MSI 890FX-GD70, the latter shall use at this time, the other I sold it)
-Changed video card (ATI 6870 Updated NVIDIA 760)
-Replaced SSD where the system resides, had a value SMART wrong, incorrectly replaced by Samsung (EVO 250GB)
-Analyzed by-DUMP bluescreenanalizer and semrpe the same file with the same bug tails
-Windows-formatted 3 times already

The temperatures are good .. I also have a Corsair H100i and a fairly spacious case that allows good ventilation (CM Storm Trooper)
This is my components:
CPU: AMD FX8350
RAM: 16GB (4 x 4) G SKILL 1866 MHz CAS 8
SSD: 250GB Samsung EVO
Video Card: Zotac 760 amp edition!
HDD: 3TB WD, 250GB WD
Motherboard: MSI 890FX-GD70
Sound Card: Asus Xonar Phoebus ONLY
Case: CM Storm Trooper Black
Win 8.1 x64 Original
I repeat that I do not overclock, the frequencies are those of series

Now I'll explain when I turn on my pc at COLD (the day after practically) happens to me .. and not always! However, if you reboot immediately after work PERFECTLY, and for hours and hours! without presenting problems or other, and even under stress. The next day, however, having been off the night it happens it happens .. this blue screen without doing anything specific! Coincidentally, sometimes even if I do nothing on windows just turned on, or a complete on the internet, or other, causally!

Debugging :: BSOD - Before And After Replacing RAM

Debugging :: BSOD While Normally Using The Computer

Jun 6, 2014

About 2 - 3 weeks ago, I've got a lot of bluescreens, and I've solved it by removing my USB wireless adapter and connecting to my router by using an Ethernet cable, this reduced the amount of them, I think that I only got one after that. In the last sunday, my hard drive broke and bought a new one in monday, and after formatting it and reinstalling Windows 8, the bluescreens returned and now they're more than ever!!!! And one thing I have noticed, is that two of them appeared when I was copying big files which total size was about 60 GB from a directory to another inside the C: .

I'm starting to think that this is related to the motherboard or something like that.

Debugging :: BSOD While Playing Counterstrike

Feb 26, 2014

I just purchased a new SSHD for my HP DV9830US laptop that was running Vista 64-bit. Purchased Windows 8.1 for a clean install on the new SSHD.

I noticed I would get random BSOD doing different tasks and what-not. Updated my BIOS and some other random drivers, and it seemed to fix the problem for the most part.

Then I installed Steam and Counterstrike, and while playing, the game will freeze and my system just does a hard reboot midgame after the freeze. The audio file that was last playing during the game does a repetitive laggy sound during the freeze.

I have used the SF_Debug_tool and attached the file.
