Way To Get Computer Back To Factory Spec Operating Mode?
Dec 26, 2011
I have a HP620 Laptop. My daughter had a virus that was wreaking havoc so I tried to sanitize my hard drive.BIG MISTAKE.Now I get the non system disc or disc error screen.tried going to (with the use of F10) to the set up but to no avail.Am locked out. Is there a way to get this computer back to factory spec operating mode?
I need to back factory backup my new computer. I put 3 disks in and can't start the 4th because it goes back to 1.Do I have to start all over with 4 new discs?
My family's desktop has reset back to factory settings seemingly by itself. This has happened before but I was able to do a system restore and bring back all the settings, files, and programs. I tried the same thing today but the restore failed (it still failed after I followed its advice to turn the anti-virus off and then run restore) so I've got a large amount of files (pictures, music, documents) missing that I am hoping are still on the hard drive somewhere.
I recently put together a new build and it's been working great, the only glaring problem I have is that when the computer goes into sleep mode, it won't turn back on. Specifically, in sleep mode it goes quiet, when I click mouse/press a key then the fans start up, sounds as if it's working, but the display remains completely black, and mouse laser doesn't turn on.
My system is: - Intel i5-2500K overclocked to 4.2GHz (via motherboard overclocking utility) - ASrock Z68 Extreme4 Motherboard - Corsair Force 3 60gb ssd - Asus GTX 570 - Corsair TX M600 power supply - Corsair Carbide series 400r case (if it makes a difference?)
I have a pc and recently it just kept throwing up BSOD with error "8E" after a factory reset with OEM partiton 30 seconds into loading windows and BSOD again. so I deleted vista and reinstalled 7 ultimate N. but left the OEM partition intact, which now runs smooth and all grand. what I was seeing was how or can I now go back into the OEM partiton and load the original OS back to vista to see if it blue screens again. do I have to install vista off a CD and then 'repair' after I have reinstalled to get to the OEM boot menu . when I loaded and put back to factory first time below 'command prompt' in "system recovery options" I had a Packard bell option to go to factory settings?
Today I wanted to intsall Windows 8 in dual boot envirnment with Windows 7 so I created a separate 60gb partition for Windows 8 but after the partition was created, all the previous volumes like Windows 7, HP_Recovry and HP_Tools and the newly created Windows 8 partition are now dynamic plus I can't install Window 8 on that dynamic partition. Below is current situation as shown in disk management in Windows 7: [URL]
I don't want to lose my data including the Windows 7, and HP_Recovry and HP_Tools partitions. clean method to go back to basic disk mode from dynamic mode without losing data. When try to convert from dynamic to basic using easeus utility, it gave me following warning: [URL]
but can't seem to find the right post. I want to set my PC Dell Inspiron 560 Windows 7, back to the factory settings as I just bought a new one and I'm selling this one.I have the CDs to do this, but when it comes on the screen, there is so much "jumble" on the screen, and I have no clue what it means, or what to do. I hit f12, when the Dell logo appears. Is there an easier way to do this, or can someone explain what I do, I am totally clueless on this.
Error code:0xe0f00013I have a HP Pavilion laptop (windows 7 Ultimate 64bit system with a 2.3gb AMD Turion 11 Dual-Core with 8gb Ram.I bought it about two years ago for my daughter. When I bought it I burned DVD's for the Recovery Disks. I have never used them UNTIL now.She was getting a message that it was NOT a Genuine copy, but it is.I figured that if I restored the laptop with the original DVD's that it would fix the problem.I loaded the recovery Disks On the last Disk it gave me this:Recovery Manager could not restore your computer using the factory image-Please contact HP support,Error Code:0xe0f00013.I tried restarting laptop and it said BOOTMGR is missing .Press ctrl+ALT+DEL to restart. I called HP and ordered the operating system. When it arrived I loaded the DVD's BUT on the last Disk it gave me the same ERROR.

I accidentally set my computer to factory default, and I really want my previous admin account that has all my programs installed, how do I get it back?! How do I get my previous profile admin back?!i have lots of programs installed in there!
I have taken many computers back to factory condition and never had any problems. This time, after backing up all my files to disc (15), in total, I have taken this HP laptop back to factory condition. There is no problem there. The restore is fine but I cant seem to load the discs I created. I have turned off the laptop completely, as directed and started it again with the alt f10 keys, which should automatically load my back up but nothing is happening and if I try to open the discs on their own, I get an error message saying that the path isn't there. I have already re-installed my various purchased software but it is the photos and personal files that I particularly want to get back. I have my own photos safely in a box but these photos belonged to someone else
Yesterday morning I started my laptop and it was frozen at the Acer screen. After I restarted a few times I called acer tech support. Via remote access the tech support agent was able to see that, even though I have McAfee installed, my computer had trojans and a lot of files had been affected. He told me he could fix it but it would cost $200 which I can't afford right now. So I ordered the windows 7 reinstall disc and hung up. I decided to try doing a system resore back to factory settings. I began the restore and had no problems. Then when the computer went to automaticaly restart it continued to remain stuck on the acer load screen but I found that if I left it alone for about 45 minutes it would automatically restart and continue with the restore process, adding files and whatnot. My newest problem is that the restore is stuck. It started loading Office 2010 and has been doing it for 12 hours now.
