For some reason the program was only half heartedly removed, it was still on my PC but fragmented. So I decided to completely uninstall it...however, I cannot. When I click uninstall it tells me this error that it can't find some uninstall file in my appdata folder. The setup.exe for that program also tells me the same thing. So now I cannot reinstall it because I can't uninstall it in the first place! How can I force uninstall it?

View 10 Replies View RelatedSo I've been trying to uninstall a program off of my programs list and it continues to tell me that I am unable to do so because I am not the administrator. My account on my computer is the administrator account and it is the only account on my computer. This is the message it keeps telling me, "You must be an Administrator to remove the application. To remove the application you can log on to an Administrator account or contact your technical support group for assistance." I don't understand why it keeps telling me this because I am the administrator for my computer. I don't know how to go about approaching this problem and fixing it so any.

A program that I am familiar with that affects performance consuming at least half of CPU does not appear in the programs that can be uninstalled. I know it is there because it does show in the downloads located in the start menu. This program creeps in when you download certain programs from the internet such as toolbars if you do not uncheck them. I am usually careful about any downloads but since I enrolled in an on-line college course for my bachelor's certain programs do need to be downloaded.

I'm unable to make quick marks due to the "flick" and if I hold the pen down for too long, the cursor will spin in a circle and a pop up box will appear, kind of like a right-click. I'd like to turn all of this off- everything that has to do with the tablet that was already installed on the computer, except for the basic Bamboo Driver.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 Professional 32 bit. I have a retail management program that I began running in XP Mode because of hardware compatibility in Windows 7 with the receipt printer, card scanner, etc. I have recently purchased new hardware that is Windows 7 compatible and need to now move from the XP Mode environment to only Windows 7. My software vendor will not provide support as long as I'm running the software in XP Mode and we, unfortunately are in need of their support at the moment. I am just wanting to verify that all I need to do is to uninstall the software while in XP Mode from the Control Panel - after I back up the database of course - and then simply install the software in Windows 7. Is that correct? Will I also need to uninstall the virtual machine since the retail software is the only program we were utilizing the VM for?

I have a hard drive I want to backup to a 64gb flash drive and then restore it to another different hard drive than where it came from. I have windows 7 and office on my laptop and I want it on my desktop pc. There isn't close to 64gb of info on my laptop so it should be fine even though the hard drive says I have 160gb. It is all free space except for those programs.
