Entry Point Not Found, Can't Run Programs

Sep 20, 2012

My dad's computer is failing for some reason. Originally, I had it running on 32 bit but after a couple of updates it failed to boot continuously even after a chkdsk and startup repair. So I formatted it two more times with both times eventually failing to boot again.I reformatted again, but this time using 64 bit. Now there is a entry point not found on startup at the desktop. If I try to run an application like Firefox, a form of entry point not found message shows up, and it won't run I have tried sfc /scannow in command prompt, and it said that some files were unable to be repaired. chkdsk didn't find anything wrong. Do you think it's a bad hard drive?

The Procedure Entry Point Could Not Be Found (Malware/Virus)

Apr 2, 2012

Since about a couple weeks ago my computer has been working fine. Then when i woke up on March 25, the minute my computer started i received an error message. I thought everything was alright but when i went to open my browser i received the message " The procedure entry point _except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll." and "The procedure entry point _ftol2could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll.". Everytime i try opening a programs like Photoshop,Word, Malwarebytes and ESET... it gives me that message(I tried dowloading and running rkill with different names but the message also popped up). Strangly I can still open SuperAntiSpyware and open games like Chess. I have tried running Microsoft Security Esssentials with no results. I have tried running SuperAntiSpyware in all modes (including the rescue scan) and it said that everything is clean. When i clicked on something that was only avaliable to the paid version my internet browser(Internet Explorer) popped up(So i think its like the Security scam that does not let you use programs).

Resource Loader Cache Doesn't Have Loaded MUI Entry

Aug 15, 2010

Whenever I insert my Windows 7 setup disk, and boot from it, and I choose Repair your Windows, the following error message appears, and of course I can't use the recovery tools: "The resource loader cache doesn't have loaded MUI Entry" What's the cause of this? I have Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows xp pro @ Dual Boot, but that has nothing to do with it, because when I try this on a virtual machine, the same message appears, and recovery tools are not working. I'm looking forward to a solution if there is one.

I have searched and searched and searched for this error with no success except for registry cleaners/fixers that of course require my credit card to do the full fix.I do understand what the DLL is and what it does but also know how critical it is to be exact when dealing with the registry. WLAN Extensibility Module Has Stopped?

Feb 12, 2011

My wireless connection is dropping anytime I have something downloading, and I mean anything, be it torrents, game clients, anything! The connection is perfect for hours and hours of internet browsing but if I turn on uTorrent or try to download a game off Steam, without fail the connection will drop (usually within a minute), and my wireless card will fail to see any networks at all. I then have to restart my laptop to regain my connection. All drivers are updated, virus scans have been run multiple times. Event Viewer gives me this error:

WLAN Extensibility Module has stopped. Module Path: C:\Windows\system32\athihvs.dll

Why does starting a download cause my connection to crash?

Recording From A Drum Module With Electronic Drums

Jul 23, 2011

Drum Module (Alesis DM8) connected to the mic/line only input. Mic/Line In set as default recording device, "listen to this device" option in properties inactivated. Drums sound excellent, can be recorded, using audacity for example. Except after some seconds or maybe a minute, sound dissapears, input is somehow lost. I change or reset one of the options (input for example), sound from the module is back on. Then it dissapears again. I am thinking it can't be a cable problem or something with the module. It must be something from within the operating system or the soundcard.
