View 1 RepliesI'm working on 7100RC 64-bit. I have a HP Officejet 4215 All-In-One. I installed the full HP software downloaded from the HP web site for Vista 64-bit for this AIO. It appears to install OK, but the scanner does not work from the HP Solution Center (Digital Imaging Monitor) software which use the TWAIN drivers (I think). I can however, access and use the scanner by using another application - Adobe Acrobat, for example - by choosing to use the WIA drivers. (If I choose the TWAIN drivers to scan in Acrobat, the operation dies.) Using WIA from another application is a workaround, but I would prefer to use the HP Solution Center because it gives me a lot more flexibility and options. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple times with the same results.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHave been struggling with Canoscan drivers. My not too old d1250u2f Canon scanner seems destined for the scrap heap because there is not a 64 bit TWAIN driver to be had out there anywhere. I managed to drag the Scangear toolbox off the original CD, but the many drivers I've tried from the net never install properly or work at all. Has anyone figured out a work-around yet?
By the way, is it just me, or is it really annoying to find so many links going to the ParetoLogic Pay-To-Fix-Your-Drivers link?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe bought Office 2010 with product key code in Feb. and today, when I tried to open a Word doc. it said that Office wasn't installed. I checked the control panel programs and the Office file showed up with no MB of data in it, so I used the key on the Microsoft website and successfully downloaded Office and saved it to my desktop, but when I opened the file as instructed to reinstall the program, I got an error message saying that the setup had encountered a problem and that Windows couldn't find a solution for it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an almost-1-year old Toshiba laptop that came with Home Premium 64-bit. I also have a desktop that I built myself that is running Ultimate 64-bit. The Toshiba didn't come with a restore CD, however I know that Windows 7 Install DVDs really come with all versions. I'd like to install a clean copy of Windows 7 Home Premium on my laptop since I have a bunch of crap on there and would rather not spend hours cleaning a laptop that should primarily be used for schoolwork.
If I copy down the OEM key that's on the system and then use Ultimate DVD to install Home Premium (this I know how to do), making sure to switch the channel to OEM, will the system activate?

View 1 Replies View RelatedBought a new Asus A53E i5 3 weeks ago; sometimes it either wouldn't shut down w/o a hard stop or would turn off just because it felt like it - displaying a major error message. And was slow as hell apparently from major bloatware according to Amazon (where I got it). Also, the loaded antivirus "Trend Micro Titanium" was defunct - so I added MS Essentials. Shouldn't have let Bozo coworker touch it, should have just returned it, but he did a system restore, started deleting programs he'd never heard of (to speed it up) and now I have no error log to document my previous issues and no MS Office. Since it came loaded, the key is on the bottom - but can't even get to the point to add it w/o an error message. Is it totally fubared? Did I make the most expensive mistake of the year - because now my warranty is toast - or can I still send it back? I can always add a different version of Office and it hasn't really done the funky shut down crap lately.
