My computer has the ancient Intel GMA 900 videocard series. The 32 bit RC1 install includes the driver, and works fine. However when I tried installing 64 bit RC1, there wasn't any driver included and it showed up in device manager as "Standard VGA adapter". I've been looking around but the only 64 bit driver I found for this card only works for XP, and 7 refuses to install it. Any help?
I'm attempting to install a retail copy of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit (VPCEB15FM) or "PCG-71312L" on this laptop. However, this message appears: "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now." The problem is that I cannot find the Intel 5 Series 4 Port SATA AHCI Controller drivers for Windows 7 64-Bit to put on a floppy or USB drive. I've combed the Sony website and Google and the only Intel 5 Series 4 Port SATA AHCI Controller Drivers that can be placed on a floppy or USB are for Windows XP. Without the TXTSETUP.OEM, I'm dead in the water! The 64-Bit drivers (INDOTH-00215023-0042.EXE) are for an already installed Windows 7. BTW guys, the the BIOS settings on this laptop is as anemic as it gets, so there is really no way to optimize there..
Quote: Imagine if you saved your hard earned pennies, stopped eating out for awhile, and made certain sacrifices in your latest build all so you could splurge on Intel's 600GB SSD 320 Series. It'd be worth it, right up until the drive goes haywire and insists it's an 8MB drive. Not cool, yet the so-called '8MB bug' has managed to infest Intel's entire line of 320 SSDs. On the bright side, Intel recently acknowledged the flaw, Read more at: Maximum PC | Intel Confirms Bug in 320 Series SSD

I recently found this lovely link to downloads for all VGN-FZ1xxx, VGN-FZ2xxx and VGN-FZ3xxx Sony Vaio Laptops. I recently installed Win 7 Enterprise on my laptop and the one thing I couldn't get to work was the webcam (VGP-VCC8).These drivers have all functionality required for 32 and 64 bit, win XP, Vista and Win 7. Pretty much everything you'd need! Some of the utilities links don't work, but all the driver ones do.
