I can't get drivers for my Canon CanoScan LiDE 50 Scanner to install on Windows 7 (works fine on Vista)
See on the Canon Website that they are not showing any Windows 7 drivers for this scanner which I can't get to work.
Tried LiDE 60 drivers but could not get these to install with my scanner.
Is there anything I can do to get this working. Or do I have to reboot Vista if I want to continue using this scanner?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Canon LiDE 600F scanner is failing to install on Windows 7 (64bit) (version 6.1 build 7600).
This scanner works fine on WindowsXP, however.
I spoke Canon about this and they obviously get this complaint all the time and they say that their drivers (which they have failed to up date ) work "just fine" and that it is a problem with Windows 7 itself and that I need to speak to Microsoft (!)

View 2 Replies View RelatedUpgraded desktop to 64-bit and discovered that my Canon LiDe80 and Canon PIXMA iP4000 drivers are incompatible. So after some research and not sure how accurate, I read that the professional version would allow more of the 32-bit drivers to work.
Is that correct?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm working on 7100RC 64-bit. I have a HP Officejet 4215 All-In-One. I installed the full HP software downloaded from the HP web site for Vista 64-bit for this AIO. It appears to install OK, but the scanner does not work from the HP Solution Center (Digital Imaging Monitor) software which use the TWAIN drivers (I think). I can however, access and use the scanner by using another application - Adobe Acrobat, for example - by choosing to use the WIA drivers. (If I choose the TWAIN drivers to scan in Acrobat, the operation dies.) Using WIA from another application is a workaround, but I would prefer to use the HP Solution Center because it gives me a lot more flexibility and options. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple times with the same results.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a computer with Windows 7 x64 installed and a Canoscan LiDE 100 from Canon, which has drivers dated from 2008 that work fine. The scan works without a problem.
However, the actual Canon software doesn't seem to work with it. Here is the link to it: Canon U.S.A. : Support & Drivers : CanoScan LiDE100,The software is: MP Navigator Ex and Solution Menu.I downloaded the Windows 7 x64 version.
The problem is that, whenever I start MP Navigator, Windows just tells me that it stopped working. I already tried compatibility mode with Windows XP SP3 and Administrator rights.Am I missing something? Am I the only one with this problem too?
Hardware Canonscan LiDE 600F / Windows 7 x64 Pro?I have tried to install "LiDE 600F Scanner Driver Ver. 12.1.2 (Windows 7 x64/Vista64/XP x64)" lide600fvst641212ea15.exe (version:12.1.2 Size:12.19MB Posted:10/19/2009). But although it SAYS that it has installed correctly, TWAIN does not fire up and I am unable to use the scanner. It also makes a weird noise through the computer's loud speaker going "dee-dum" every 2 seconds.(Fwiw, the sound is like two low-ish frequency guitar strings being plucked, about 1 octave apart). Also in the Control Panel unders System the scanner dialogue is disappearing and refreshing every 2 seconds as well.It sounds to me like something is rejecting the driver, but not showing any error message to screen.- Is there any way to (permanently) "give permission" to the driver to run?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Canon 3200F scanner which I can't get working on 7 RC 32-bit.
I have downloaded the driver from Canon, installed it and nothing really happened. I then discovered that I needed to install a WIA driver, which I downloaded. But when I try to install it 7 says it may not have installed properly.
The scanner now shows up on the import list under Photoshop CS4, but when I select it to import it then stalls for a short time then tells me it can't connect, and to check the leads etc.
Anyone got any ideas.
I recently upgraded to Windows 7 64 and can't get my Canon-DR-2850C scanner to work.According to Microsoft it's supposed to be compatible.I got and installed the driver package from the Canon site. Driver installed OK and device manager says it is "functioning properly." (I did not install the "job tool" below the Twain driver because it doesn't say it's compatible with Windows 7.)
When I click the scanner icon in control panel it throws a pop-up that says: "You need a WIA driver to use this device" and it invites me to install it from my mfr CD, which I don't have anymore and anyway would not be compatible with Windows 7. No scanning applications can see the scanner. Looked up this error message and it seems to mean I haven't installed a Twain driver, but of course that's what the Canon driver is. Canon seems to offer no support email links on their site (something I'll keep in mind during my next scanner purchase decision).
