Find A Twain Driver For Cannon Scanner Canoscan N670U
Dec 5, 2012
Is there a way download for free a Twain driver to run my old 2002 scanner (currently running on my old desktop PC WinXP 32 bit) on my newer Toshiba Satellite A660 laptop (Win7 64bit)?
I've been looking for this driver for quite a while. I want to be able to use my scanner freely meaning without hooking it up to older operation systems. Can anybody create such driver? I know there are some talented computer people out there.
W7 RC 64bit. Haven't been able to us my Epaon Prefection 2580 Scanner, either native or XP mode. Has anyone had success with this scanner? Are their generic W7 64 twain drivers.
I'm working on 7100RC 64-bit. I have a HP Officejet 4215 All-In-One. I installed the full HP software downloaded from the HP web site for Vista 64-bit for this AIO. It appears to install OK, but the scanner does not work from the HP Solution Center (Digital Imaging Monitor) software which use the TWAIN drivers (I think). I can however, access and use the scanner by using another application - Adobe Acrobat, for example - by choosing to use the WIA drivers. (If I choose the TWAIN drivers to scan in Acrobat, the operation dies.) Using WIA from another application is a workaround, but I would prefer to use the HP Solution Center because it gives me a lot more flexibility and options. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple times with the same results.
I have a HP laser jet Ml522nf printer scanner copier and fax, the printer works fine but the scanner gives an message that a TWAIN compliant device is missing. Please Help
After installing my windows on my laptop when I tried to install Microsoft Office 2007 installer showed a message that it cannot find the msvcr80.dll file in Office.en-us folder! But I clearly see that .dll file, right there! Now what to do.
I'm very impressed with Windows 7 RC, but I have one inexplicable problem: my Canoscan D1250U2F scanner won't install. The peculiar thing is that it installed and ran with the Beta, but now the RC simply will not even acknowledge that the scanner is there. The system gives me a sound tone when I remove the cable and plug it back in, but no message box comes up. I have plenty of alternatives for scanner drivers, etc. but you can't install a USB scanner if the system can't see it. Again, it worked with the BETA!?
FYI, Canoscan D646U scanner is compatible with Windows 7. Just use the XP drivers (Ver. 6.0.2b) to install it. I tested it on Windows 7 Ultimate and it works like a charm!
I just realized that Canon didn't update their driver for my CanoScan Lide 50 Scanner for Windows 7 64-bit. I tried to find a work around and came across an article that said the CanoScan Lide 60 driver works..ersAndSoftwareBut the folder I got with 7-Zip didn't have the file in it that it said it should, so I tried to just install it directly.Windows flashed a popup asking for permission to install, right over where it said where it would be installed, and when I clicked OK, that other window disappeared. Now I can't find where it's installed. The article explained that I have to manually update the driver. I found the scanner in the device manager, but since I can't find the driver anywhere, I'm stumped. I wouldn't even be able to uninstall it
