I have been told that Canon do not intend to issue a Windows 7 64 bit driver for the Canoscan N67ou scanner.
Is there any way round this or do I have to buy a new scanner?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm very impressed with Windows 7 RC, but I have one inexplicable problem: my Canoscan D1250U2F scanner won't install. The peculiar thing is that it installed and ran with the Beta, but now the RC simply will not even acknowledge that the scanner is there. The system gives me a sound tone when I remove the cable and plug it back in, but no message box comes up. I have plenty of alternatives for scanner drivers, etc. but you can't install a USB scanner if the system can't see it. Again, it worked with the BETA!?
View 3 Replies View RelatedFYI, Canoscan D646U scanner is compatible with Windows 7. Just use the XP drivers (Ver. 6.0.2b) to install it. I tested it on Windows 7 Ultimate and it works like a charm!

I downloaded the 64 bit driver from Canon & under "Device Manager" it says that it is working.
I try to use "TWAIN" in several photo editing programs & it says " cannot connect to device, Cable may be unplugged". When I select Device in the photo editing software it lists "canoscan 32-32"
Some times I get a notice that says "Must use WIA driver",
It works great under Win 7 RC-1 32 bit using paint shop pro 6.
Has anyone find solution with CanonScan 4400F drivers.
Drivers installed correctly and in devices shows it is working properly but when am trying to scan something twain is missing.

I tried the XP driver, and it says it successfully installed but, but then a pop up comes up and says:
LaunchAnywhere GUI has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify if a solution is available.
