Print In Black When The Color Ink Is Empty?
Feb 5, 2013My color cartridge is fairly new. I don't print a lot. I know it isn't empty. How can I refresh it so it will print?

May 21, 2012I have an Epson Workforce 840 printer. I replaced the black ink and the cyan with refillable cartridges and reset the cartridges. Everything printed fine. Then a month later, the magenta and yellow were running low so I replaced those cartridges and reset those with the rest of the replacement set I installed earlier that included the black and cyan. I checked the print levels and all of the cartridges are showing as full, both on the printer's display as well as from my computer (I am printing from my Mac Powerbook and my kids' Windows 7 laptops). I then did a nozzle check and a print head check, and now only the black prints out. I try and print a lined/ruled paper from the printer's onboard control panel that should print in cyan and it comes out blank.

Mar 22, 2012I have an Hewlwtt Packard HP Color LaserJet 2840 which is connected via USB to a Belkin PLAY N600 DB router, which is connected to my PC with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
I have been to the HP webstie and it tells me to use the drivers that came with Windows 7.
So in the Devices & Printers window it is there, labelled as HP Color LaserJet 2800 series and when I try to print I get an error.
I'm guessing it is something to do with the driver as I cannot scan at all, it just tells me there is no scanner connected!!

Feb 4, 2013I'm not quite sure how to describe the issue(hence the title) but through several diagnosis I think the Graphics on the motherboard is failing. There is no add-on graphics, the system is a HP Pavilion P6310Y, AMD Athlon 2, 6GB of RAM, 1 TB of HDD Space. The onboard Graphics is NVidia GeForce 9100. The PC is about 3-4 years old.What is happening is the screen flickers and then either goes black or becomes a certain color. This happens whenever the PC is doing something involving alot of data(Scan Disk, Virus Scan, Email, Remote Desktop). The harder part is being able to tell whether the computer is crashing or after the graphics fails that the computer is still processing. I'm going go with a no because I have a feeling this could be an overheating issue as well.I have is if it is only the Graphics, would installing a Graphics Card solve the problem? Or will the rest of the motherboard eventually fail also?

Looking very closely at the finished sheet I do not see any evidence of any ink being deposited. However, I can see evidence of black being deposited. The printer is a HP PhotoSmart Premium C310a. Incidentally, my Hp series D2600 acts the same way. Both printers print all colors when white paper is used.

Oct 12, 2010I am trying to set my monitor's screen give accurate renditions of my pictures. I use Quick Gamma to set gamma. When doing this I can use either Nvidia's controls or windows controls (right click desktop>Nvidia Control Panel. When using Nvidia's Control Panel, there are two choices: Use other applications control color settings or Use Nvidia settings. Am I correct in assuming that the former setting is Windows? I always check the button to use Nvidia settings (and then Apply>OK), but when I go back to this screen at a later time, the Other applications control color settings is always selected. I'd like to default to Nvidia.

May 7, 2009I just downloaded Windows 7 and transfered over my program files from windows.old to the program files in windows 7. The problem i'm having is that start->all programs is empty, it isn't populating from the program files folder. Is there a way to tell the computer to search for programs and repopulate the all programs?
