i tried to install my xbox360 wireless reciever on my windows 7 64 bit quad core desktop went throught the hole device manager update drivers microsoft xbox common control class but the only option there is xbox 360 common control theres no wireless options there went to microsoft and downloaded xbox accessorys 1.2 installed and still the same problem.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 Home Premuim x64 Bit Service Pack 1. I just bought the Xbox 360 wireless controller for windows which comes with a receiver to play on the pc. When I got it I just plugged in the receiver and connected the controller it came with and it worked fine just after using for a while, did it stop connecting to the controller and after that i wouldn't connect anymore so I installed the software that it came with update the driver but still it won't connect then I unistalled the driver and software restarted the computer installed everything again and still I can't get the controller to sync with the receiver. Even tried This but I cant install the different driver because it says driver has already been installed and is up to date:

View 5 Replies View RelatedNow I know I looked before I went and bought a new Xbox 360 wireless controller for my PC games and swear everyone said it would work. But after just getting the wireless receiver and plugging it in, I get a light on but nothing works. I went to Microsofts site for drivrs and downloaded everything for the wireless Xbox 360 controller to drive my usb receiver. But nothing. It does not even reconize it. I tried putting the install drivers on desktop and the update drivers that way and, nope, nada. Just says you have the latest drivers. But it still does not know it is Xbox 360 receiver. I used it with Vista and then with Windows 7.Everything worked perfectly until few days ago...when I tried to turn the controller on (pressing the middle button), the green lights just started flashing and blinking. View 6 Replies View RelatedI made sure I got the latest 64-bit driver for my authentic 64-bit copy of windows. The controller will pair wirelessly with the adapter, but when I plug the adapter into my back USB ports (any of them), windows fails to recognize the device. I am told to go select a driver manually (even after installing the driver), and it does not work with or show any driver version. I have tried installing (multiple times) both the bundled cd 64-bit driver, and the latest 64-bit driver from Microsoft.com. Nothing works. I get to the point where The driver puts the overlay up to show how many controllers, and what controllers are connected, but when the adapter plugs in, Windows immediately makes a short "two ding" sound (like "din-din" ), and there's a symbol with a red "x" in the system tray. Windows troubleshooting fails to fix anything (no surprise there). I can't find anything on Google either. I really need help because GTA and many other games seem to play very well with the 360 controller.

I downloaded the latest drivers and installed them, and I plug it in and it says installing device and it installs. It starts charging, but the Center button just keeps blinking, and it is showing up under device manager.
I have a HP G62-371DX Notebook that I have been using to access the internet. Lately I have been experiencing random disconnects that will last from maybe 30 seconds to 2 minutes. They will happen maybe every hour or two and are becoming really annoying. At first I was using the laptops wifi abilities to connect to my router. So when these disconnects began to happen I tried plugging in an Ethernet cable into the router and still experience the same disconnects. The only other devices in the house that experience this is the xbox 360 which is connected with an ethernet cable aswell. The router that I had was an old netgear router, but in the past week we got a new router which is a SMCD3GNV. I have only had it working today and I had the problem maybe 3-4 times within the first 12 hours (with both the wifi and ethernet connection). I have tried updating the firmware and resetting the router and modem.

I installed the drivers with the CD and followed the instructions. At the end of the installation it gave me this: (Url) I have re-installed many times trying different methods, but nothing seems to work. After I reinstalled it I couldn't find any networks and I could only connect to the internet via LAN ethernet cord. When I go to Manage Wireless Networks it says my wireless is not currently enabled. My wi-fi light is on though on my laptop. I have a Toshiba Satellite L450. When I go to adapter settings it says my PCI adapter is working fine. One has a Linksys internal wireless adapter that does not recognize the wireless signal that the PC next to it is now receiving. Both PCs got the signal last week and worked fine before I installed windows 7 to the one that now cannot recognize my wireless network signal. the beta runs great on my desktop , but on my laptop it cant recognize the wireless network adapter.It recognizes all other components ,but not the wireless unfortunatly.
After a bit of searching I found out that its one of two adapters:
either its a Askey WLL3090(LF) 802.11b/g WLAN driver or a Intel 802.11g wireless adapter.
I have downloaded drivers for both ,but none of them wants to install.
During the 7 installation it told me "this adapter is not recognized" ,and in device manager I just get a yellow ! next to the name. Since it cant recognize it ,it simply named the wireless card "unknown network adapter".
When I tried to manually install the Askey adapter thru device manager,it told me that there was no driver files in the folder (although it was a .ini with driver settings in the folder) . When i tried to install the Intel driver I got the good old blue screen and a code dump.
I tried an application from Intel to find my wireless card , but it just told me there was no wireless Intel cards on the machine , but Im not sure ..
