I recently moved my computer away from my router to a different room. So I bought myself a wireless adapter, a D-Link DWA-160 wireless adapter. I installed the drivers with the CD and followed the instructions. At the end of the installation it gave me this: (Url) I have re-installed many times trying different methods, but nothing seems to work. In device manager it shows that the device is installed and working properly. Yet it does not make it actually work. The light on the adapter will not flash like it does for my laptop (tested). And I am unable to even run the Wireless Connection Manager from D-Link, i just double click and nothing happens.
I had the infinite start up loop before but anyways I took off what I needed to take off and did a clean install of windows 7. After I reinstalled it I couldn't find any networks and I could only connect to the internet via LAN ethernet cord. When I go to Manage Wireless Networks it says my wireless is not currently enabled. My wi-fi light is on though on my laptop. I have a Toshiba Satellite L450. When I go to adapter settings it says my PCI adapter is working fine. Wondering how I can fix this and connect wirelessly, so I don't have to use the cord to connect to the internet everytime.
after I first installed Windows 7 to my computer, I was left with only the ability to connect to the internet via Ethernet cable. I've been looking online for wireless adapters or other means to fix this problem, but to no avail.
First off , thanks for a great beta , never seen something as tight as this in betaform from MS before
the beta runs great on my desktop , but on my laptop it cant recognize the wireless network adapter. It recognizes all other components ,but not the wireless unfortunatly.
After a bit of searching I found out that its one of two adapters:
either its a Askey WLL3090(LF) 802.11b/g WLAN driver or a Intel 802.11g wireless adapter.
I have downloaded drivers for both ,but none of them wants to install.
During the 7 installation it told me "this adapter is not recognized" ,and in device manager I just get a yellow ! next to the name. Since it cant recognize it ,it simply named the wireless card "unknown network adapter".
When I tried to manually install the Askey adapter thru device manager,it told me that there was no driver files in the folder (although it was a .ini with driver settings in the folder) . When i tried to install the Intel driver I got the good old blue screen and a code dump.
I tried an application from Intel to find my wireless card , but it just told me there was no wireless Intel cards on the machine , but Im not sure ..
I completely formatted my computer to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, I put in the correct product key and then when I attempted to connect to the internet I couldn't because I don't have the correct drivers. Back when I used to use Windows XP I put a little CD in and then installed the drivers from Device Manager but now with Windows 7, I put the CD in and I can't install the drivers. They show up with a tiny symbol with a yellow exclamation mark on it (it was like this too back when I used XP, but I had no problems then,).
So I have re-installed my Windows 7 due to some reasons and now, when I connect my built-in LAN ethernet cable to the pc, it just tells me, that I need some drivers for the network adapter/Ethernet controller.
I have an Alienware m15x running windows 7 64bit and recently reinstalled to try and improve performance. I installed using the cd, and then used the resource cd to install any drivers. Everything on the disk was installed, but I still can't connect to any wireless networks. Troubleshooting either says there are no networks available, or that I need to connect an ethernet cord.
I downloaded all drivers from the alienware and dell sites, and sill nothing.
I've tried all drivers, reinstalling and installing drivers in different orders and nothing is working.
Few days back I tried to connect internet in my PC, said that "windows cannot found driver for your network adapter? Please install or upgrade your driver".
I'm running windows 7 bit32 with VM ware on my macbook pro. Not sure what happened. but all of a sudden I can't connect to the internet on the windows side. The error I get is that there is "no network adapter found. In device manager there is no wireless adapter in the list. In addition when I go to task manager it says: No active network adapters found.
I am having a problem with windows 7 finding my network adapters on a soft restart. If a hard re-boot (unplug the damn thing) then the network adapter shows up with no problem, but on soft restart it cant seem to find my network adapters. I am running a BFG Tech motherboard, which is especially frustrating because the install disc that came with the mother board isn't compatible past windows XP, and the company's website has shut down.
i updated windows 7 ultimate x32 on my friends computer only to have her computer not have no wifi or ethernet cable access.. i says i have no network adapter. i tried installing the drivers from another computer saving it on a flash drive and installing it onto her computer but after extracting the file the driver setup never appears. ive tried everything and its driving me crazy. i uninstalled the 54mbps network adapter because it says that was the trouble in the beginning.
To start, I had Windows 7 Home Premium x64 installed with internet connectivity working perfectly. I decided to place ultimate x64 version on, but now there is no network adapter, no drivers to be found. I really don't even know where to start with getting this fixed. And for some reason two copies of windows 7 appear on start up despite both versions being the same - ultimate x64 editions.
i have a serious problem here, i cant connect to internet by any way, i have no wireless connection it says no connection available and i tried wired method and nothing happens, i went to device manager and found out the i dont have any modem and no network adapter found, the problem started like this>>i had windows 7 home premium installed in Portuguese language and wanted english so i downloaded torrent that said is clean Windows 7 home premium , after i installed that i did get english language but after that i cant connect to any network, i am now connected using pda net on my mobile.(usb tethering).
Has someone faced the problem of the RealTek Network Adapter/Controller not being found. Yesterday morning my Internet connection went off and when I tried to repair it I got the following message: The RealTek Network Adapter/Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode enabled Please Plug the Cable i searched the Net on my other Computer and found chapter and verse on this problem but none of the suggested cures worked and the Net remained off the whole day. Finally in the night in disgust I shut down the errant computer, unplugged all the cables attached to it, and went to sleep. This morning I attached all the cables and restarted the computer and everything was back to normal again. After scouting the Net the only change that I have made is to uncheck the "Allow this Computer to turn off this device to save Power" Box.
I have a home build PC which I upgraded to W7 64bit and installed extra RAM (2gb up to 6gb). With the extra RAM the installed wireless adapter, Netgear WG311v3, does not work. Can anybody recommend a new wireless pci that will be compatible?
I just installed Windows 7 RC version and I have my first (I hope last problem).
I have got Cnet cnwl-311 network adapter for an internet connection with router. I tried XP drivers but they don't work, when I try to launch cnet utility an error appears ,,device or driver not found". I tried rebooting, reinstering card, reinstalling drivers etc but It still doesn't work.
Maybe sb know how to make this work? Or have some other drivers (maybe for vista) which I can try?
I have been having this problem with windows 7. A lot of the time windows 7 shuts off my wireless belkin adapter for my wifi. I check in power settings and under the wireless adapter settings I have choose a setting of maximum performance. But if I leave the computer for a while it seems to shut it off which is really anoying when I want to leave stuff downloading overnight.
I bought a wireless adapter (linksys) and am running win7 64 ultimate and the adapter isnt being able to enable. Ive spent about 2 hours on the phone with linksys who say its generally a problem only when theres an antivirus attached to the computer. I dont have any antivirus on this computer at the moment. Is there something in Windows 7 that might be holding it from installing correctly/enabling?
I recently re-installed Windows 7 to my new SSD. Now my Wireless Adapter wont work. It's a "Netopia 3D Reach (ter/gusb-n1)" adapter (usb). The drivers that i came across all say that this adapter only goes up to vista, which doesnt make sense because it worked perfectly before i reinstalled my OS. What's wrong? If you find any kind of Window 7 driver
I have recently purchased a new desktop PC which runs windows 7 (64 bit) My previous pc ran windows XP together with a wireless USB adapter (BT Voyager 1055) Where can I find a driver that will enable me to connect to the internet?
There are programs to accomplish this, but here is the roll-your-own method of changing the Media Access Control (MAC) address of your wireless adapter.CHANGE YOUR WIRELESS MAC ADDRESS
The possible MAC addresses in Windows 7 for wireless adapters: X2-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX X6-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX XA-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX XE-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX WIN | cmd.exe | enter | Ipconfig /all > ipinfo.txtIpInfo.TXT has your original IP address.WIN | DevMgmt.MSC | ENTER | dbl-clk on Network Adapters |rt-clk on your ...Wireless Network Adapter | Properties | Advanced tab | select Network Address (in Property area) | Value radio button | enter desired MAC address | OK
Examples of MAC addresses: 023344556677 16A098765432 3Affeeddbbcc 4E44667799aa
WIN is the key with the Microsoft flag on top. MAC Media Access Control address
I installed a microsoft mouse and when I did the restart my wireless completely dissapered. I can get a conection using a cable, and the wire less signal is there because I am on in now (android) So... I`ll list every thing I've already tried so not to waste anyones time. After the Complete system restore...which I saw the wireless stuff reinstall I thought I was gtg..but sadly not even that worked. I looked up the drivers and tried installing, that failed. When you look in the device manager there is no wireless adapter It's an Acer Aspire 5253, win 7/64
Is there a windows 7 driver for a DWL-G122 wireless usb adapter? I have the installation CD that worked for my computer with windows XP, but my new computer with windows 7 won't register this usb adapter?
