View 1 Replies View RelatedI just recently ran in to an extremely frustrating problem with my laptop. I have an asus laptop, it's one of the gaming models. Just recently, it has shown that wireless connectivity is turned off whenever i boot up my computer. The thing is, though, that the manual switch to enable wireless connectivity is switched on. Whenever i attempt to switch it off, then back on, the graphic that pops up on your screen showing that wireless connectivity is disabled pops up even when i switch it on. It does the same exact thing when i use fn + f2, only the graphic saying that it's disabled pops up every time i press it, and wireless connectivity stays disabled no matter what. I have absolutely no idea what to do, this literally just happened out of no where when i booted up my computer yesterday.

I've got Acer TravelMate C110 and when I installed Windows 7 (Home Premium 32bit) I can't turn on my Wireless Network. I've installed Launch Manager from Acer's site and it says that Wireless is always on, but it really isn't :/ The external button don't work either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a desktop computer, and have a D-Link DWA-510 wireless network adapter installed. Though I cannot pick up any wireless networks even though I know there are wireless networks as my iPhone picks them up.
I have tried the following:
1/ Clicking on the wireless/internet icon (not sure what to called it, it's the icon that brings up network and sharing) located on the bottom right of the bottom task bar. though no networks show up.
2/ Adding a new wirless network via 'Network and Sharing' option - though when windows does a search for networks it never stops searching.
3/ Installing the new drivers from the D-Link website
If I look at the back of the tower the network card that I have the external antenna connected to has one static green light lit. So I gather it is installed correctly as it is lit and it was installed when I brought the computer, although if I go to device manager it is not listed under Networks?!. I have triedto search on turning the wireless capability on though I cannot find a solution that actualy turns it on.
how do i turn on the wirless option on my desktop computer?

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust yesterday my I year old punched the keyboard of my Notebook here and there when I was working. I show a couple of dialogs popping up and getting closed when he was punching. And all of sudden I lost my wireless connection, in a strange way.
The WIFI card is disabled, the physical button on the laptop is red indicating that it is disabled. When I press it to switch the wifi back on, the switch dont respond WWhen I run network diagnostic: error is: Wireless capability is turned off. But I see no option to turn it on. I checked the network adapters through the Control panel and also in the device manager. They are up and running. No yellow sign, no ! marks. Restarted several times. No change. Restarted in safe mode. Deleted the device in device manager and reinstalled. No change. Disabled firewall. No change. (DO I need to restart after disabling?) Checked the manual for Key combinations to toggle wireless on off. But there were non.
I have just installed windows 7 on my Fujitsu Siemens amilo pro V3405 and my wireless is not working . The function F10 does not turn it on and it says it is working properly in the device manager, it is also enabled in the BIOS.

View 2 Replies View Relatedmy monitor exhibited signs of flickering during start-up, but only minor ones and would just stop at the 'Welcome' screen of windows so I didn't give it much thought. Iv'e been using it with the cpu the same time I bought the monitor. But after some time, the flickering got worse. It went from 1-2 second interval flickers to a whole 10 seconds of blackness before it showed anything. Now,Iv'e got a new cpu but still using the old monitor. After a day or so, the monitor exhibited the first symptoms of my first cpu, so I just dismissed it. But after a week, It got a hell worse, before I even start-up my computer, the monitor doesn't show Analog/Digital at the top-left corner of the screen. PLUS my cpu keeps restarting after I pushed the ON button after 10 seconds or so. Is the monitor responsible for the restart and what could be the reason for the flickering?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI had only used it for a day and then the next day it wouldn't even turn on. I have tried everything that I can think of to fix it. From unplugging it and plugging it back in, changing out the power cord with a different one, trying to plug it into a different location in the house, turning the surge protector on and off, etc. I opened the side up and everything seemed to be in place and nothing was obviously unplugged. We do have a warranty but when we called we got put on hold for an hour + and gave up. We will probably call them again Monday I just wondered if there was something else that I should try before calling it quits and switching the computer out completely.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi'm also currently have an issues where, when i switch on the main switch, the computer turn on itself, i didnt even press the power button! And after a few second, maybe 2 to 3 or 4, it turn off itself again. When i press the power button myself, there is no more power. I cant turn it on.So, i do the same thing again. This time I switch off the main switch and turn it back on and the same thing happen again, the computer turn on and off again, and i also cannot switch on the computer after that. The same thing happen the next few time, so i assume there is something wrong with the hardware, or something loose
