I've read many threads about Acer laptops, but I couldn't turn on my Wi-Fi adaptor. I've got Acer TravelMate C110 and when I installed Windows 7 (Home Premium 32bit) I can't turn on my Wireless Network. I've installed Launch Manager from Acer's site and it says that Wireless is always on, but it really isn't :/ The external button don't work either.

Trying to install a Belkin Wireless or Retail Plus+ N USB Adapter, which the microsoft page says is compatible with Windows 7 (for the Belkin) and receiving an error basically saying the driver is not compatible with this operating system.
This is a brand new computer that came with Windows 7 installed and has 0 internet access right now....what can you suggest?
Also, I do have a wired internet access point in my house I can move it to, if there is something I need to download I can probably do this.
It's been hours, and I feel like I may have to take the whole thing back.
I would prefer to use the Retail Plus+ USB adapter for this system if given the choice, since the Belkin is in use on another computer in the house, but I'll take whatever is out there.
ive got windows 7 ultimate. Ive been trying to install my wireless drivers, when you run them form CD everything seems fine and says installed, but when it says connect your usb device it starts to instal the intantly stops and says driver not installed..
I have just installed windows 7 on second partition, first partition being vista which works fine with the above adaptor. The vista driver gives an error message when trying to install on Windows 7. Nothing on azurewave website for drivers for Windows 7. Microsoft do not show it in the list of windows 7 compatible. Does anyone know where to get the driver for azurewave gu210 wireless adaptor.
I was wondering if there was a device I could plug into the male usb lead on my hard drive and connect it to my computer over wifi or through another usb dongle on my laptop, this would allow me to watch movies without having to go to where my HD is stored and moving them to my laptop manually. I have a lot of files on my external hard drive, it is not portable and it needs to be plugged into a wall socket so I cant just carry it around with my laptop. My hard drive is a western digital 1TB external hard drive and I am using windows 7.
I have dell Vostro 3450. when i reformatted the disk and installed the Windows 7,wireless adaptor was not detected and also one of the USB port was not enabled.

There is a new one on order. But to turn on my wireless I have to hold down the 'fn' key and also 'f2' as the keyboard is not working is there any other way of turning the wireless card on?
I just recently ran in to an extremely frustrating problem with my laptop. I have an asus laptop, it's one of the gaming models. Just recently, it has shown that wireless connectivity is turned off whenever i boot up my computer. The thing is, though, that the manual switch to enable wireless connectivity is switched on. Whenever i attempt to switch it off, then back on, the graphic that pops up on your screen showing that wireless connectivity is disabled pops up even when i switch it on. It does the same exact thing when i use fn + f2, only the graphic saying that it's disabled pops up every time i press it, and wireless connectivity stays disabled no matter what. I have absolutely no idea what to do, this literally just happened out of no where when i booted up my computer yesterday.
wireless was working fine on my toshiba laptop but not the light has gone out on the switch at the front and wont turn back on. I cant connect to the net wireless. I can still connect through ethernet cable though.I tried FN F8 and that doesnt work either. I checked the drivers and all says its working fine and the latest drivers are installed. all updates are current
I have a toshiba satallite Laptop that will connect to the network and work but will not work on wireless. the different connections do show up in the connection list but when you try to connect to one of them they do not connect. The function F8 key will not turn wireless on or off.this model does not have a switch or button in the front to activate the wireless.
I'm trying to connect with a linksys wireless adapter, but diagnostics keep telling me that wireless capability is turned off. Thing is, it's a desktop, so there's no switch or function keys.
