I have just installed windows 7 on second partition, first partition being vista which works fine with the above adaptor. The vista driver gives an error message when trying to install on Windows 7. Nothing on azurewave website for drivers for Windows 7. Microsoft do not show it in the list of windows 7 compatible. Does anyone know where to get the driver for azurewave gu210 wireless adaptor.
I am using a wireless belkin 802 g router for a Windows 7 laptop computer. I also have a desktop computer hardwired to the same router. I want to In Install Internet cable. I will need to connect wirelessly to the desktop hard drive. what hardware will I need or method to accomplice this?
Trying to install a Belkin Wireless or Retail Plus+ N USB Adapter, which the microsoft page says is compatible with Windows 7 (for the Belkin) and receiving an error basically saying the driver is not compatible with this operating system.
This is a brand new computer that came with Windows 7 installed and has 0 internet access right now....what can you suggest?
Also, I do have a wired internet access point in my house I can move it to, if there is something I need to download I can probably do this.
It's been hours, and I feel like I may have to take the whole thing back.
I would prefer to use the Retail Plus+ USB adapter for this system if given the choice, since the Belkin is in use on another computer in the house, but I'll take whatever is out there.
ive got windows 7 ultimate. Ive been trying to install my wireless drivers, when you run them form CD everything seems fine and says installed, but when it says connect your usb device it starts to instal the intantly stops and says driver not installed..
I've read many threads about Acer laptops, but I couldn't turn on my Wi-Fi adaptor. I've got Acer TravelMate C110 and when I installed Windows 7 (Home Premium 32bit) I can't turn on my Wireless Network. I've installed Launch Manager from Acer's site and it says that Wireless is always on, but it really isn't :/ The external button don't work either.
I was wondering if there was a device I could plug into the male usb lead on my hard drive and connect it to my computer over wifi or through another usb dongle on my laptop, this would allow me to watch movies without having to go to where my HD is stored and moving them to my laptop manually. I have a lot of files on my external hard drive, it is not portable and it needs to be plugged into a wall socket so I cant just carry it around with my laptop. My hard drive is a western digital 1TB external hard drive and I am using windows 7.
I have dell Vostro 3450. when i reformatted the disk and installed the Windows 7,wireless adaptor was not detected and also one of the USB port was not enabled.

I have a Hp compaq desktop windows 7.What kind of video driver do i need to allow my vga screen splitter adaptor to allow me to use dual screens?NOT MIRRORED SCREENS,BUT DUAL SCREENS FOR MORE SPACE.
This Acer Desktop replacement has been upgraded from Win Vista to Win 7 Home and there doesn't seem to be 64 bit drivers available for the Nivideo display adaptor
the laptop wont run off AC theres a little light by the ac adaptor port that lights up when the charger is plugged in, win 7 also says "plugged in" and i believe even says charging when its plugged in (so it IS detecting the cord being plugged in) but it will not run off of the ac adaptor. i even tried starting the computer with JUST the AC adaptor (rather than pullin the battery while the machine is running)when i plug the machine in i also noticed the lightening bolt (battery?) light just blinks.the light does howeever stay solid once the machine is turned on.the machine will not charge period (machine on or off)will not run off the ac adaptor will only detect that the ac adaptor is plugged in, and thats all. any suggestions anyone? i cant think of anything but needing a new motherboard.
I just installed this product USB Dual High Gain Antenna Wireless N Wifi Adaptor USB Dual High Gain Antenna Wireless N Wi-Fi Adapter (eBay item 170608181616 end time 25-Jul-11 14:23:40 AEST) : Computers
Soon as I plugged it in, my Win 7 (64) machine instantly identified it and installed the driver. Only problem is, the adapter remains disabled. I try to enable it, but it instantly disables itself when I do.
I could not find any clues in the System event log.
It's actually an rtl8187 chip by realtek. I tried installing drivers from the manufacturer (from the CD and from the internet) but windows insists that the microsoft driver it installed on detection is the most up-to-date driver and it ignores mfr driver. I tried installing a "legacy device" and I manually chose the mfr driver, but it does not work (and still has the microsoft driven device listed in device manager).
I tried this unit on another PC (also running windows 7 64bit) and it worked flawlessly. But on the two machines which really need the device, they both cannot enable the device once installed.
I am using windows 8. My Intel wifi utility software doesn't found my network adaptor. But other than that the wifi just working fine. When I used windows 7 I didn't had this problem.
I've just installed a wireless PCI adaptor (Tenda W322P 11N) in my desktop PC but I can't 'enable' it - every time I double click it starts to enable then stops and leaves it disabled with no warning or error messages.
The system is definitely seeing it as it's listed in Device Manager, and if I bring up Network Connections (using ncpa.cpl) it's listed and shown as disabled. Why would windows stop it from being enabled??
I've tried downloading new drivers from the manufacturers site in case the drivers on the disk were old - no difference. I uninstalled it and removed the drivers and then re-booted so windows would use it's own drivers - no difference.
Infected with the Adobe flash player update/windows system32 services trojan. After failing to fix it myself i passed it onto a so called expert. He seems to have fixed the trojan but now im having a problem with PC not recognizing the network adapter for a few minutes when switched on and when awakened from sleep mode. I have since found out that combofix was used to remove the trojan.
I have a playsation controller adaptor which will not connect properly with windows 7.I can see that this is a fairly common problem as there are quite a few threads on other forums about this particular issue. Unfortunately having read through all of them the solutions offered (and seemingly successful for adaptors of other makes) do not work for me.A little history: worked perfectly on the machine I am using before upgrading from XP to 7. I didn't have to install specific drivers as the drivers XP provided were sufficient.Symptoms: pad/Controller is not recognised in "game controller settings" (joy.cpl found in system32 folder) which on XP allowed me to configure the pad. (There is no pad showing in the window under controller) The controller does show up in the control Panel's "devices and printers" but as "HID-compliant game controller" (it also doesn't show in the device manager under "sound, video and game controllers" only in the Human interface devices tree) The pad is therefore not recognised by, amongst others, pro evolution 11.
Checks: I know the hardware I have works as I have a clever little piece of software called joytokey which substitutes buttons pressed on the pad for keys on my keyboard. Indeed I have typed this entire post using the offending pad. (I haven't really but the point is that I could have done showing that the controller is recognised to a degree and working). Why don't you just use the joytokey software to play pro evo? I hear you ask. I do, however as good as that software is it can't mimic the two joysticks on the PS2 pad which limits the functionality I have in that game. (Like going to war and only being able to use a pistol) The most damning piece of evidence I have to prove that the hardware works fully is that I have microsoft's very own flight simulator X and without the trickery of joytokey or any type of manual configuring I am able to control the vehicles using my playstion 2 pads. (For those of you who have never played the game, everything important is controlled using the two joysticks on the ps2 pad). Just get an Xbox controller they are not that expensive, in fact in the time it has taken you to create this thread you could have earned enough for a few of them! My, you're a talkative fella. I could buy one but I really prefer the layout and feel of the PS2 pads.
So there we have it. The pad and adaptor work perfectly but only on games that don't require Windows 7 to see the pad in the game controller settings.I have tried the closest thing I could find to the manufacturers driver and one I found at another forum, [URL] neither worked properly for my particular adaptor. (Pad still did not show up in joy.cpl and also caused the pad to vibrate uncontrollably and most functionality stopped in games I tested it in)all I need is the driver windows developed for windows XP but if this is microsofts way of forcing people to buy and use one of their XBox controllers then I'll have to admit defeat.
HD crashed on Dell Inspiron 580 desktop. Replaced with a new one. No back-ups discs available. Installed Windows 7 Starter from Notebook backup disc to boot it up.
Now it will not connect to the internet. Message is that it can't find a network adapter.
Is it because of the Starter version of Windows? Will installing a new copy of Home Premium fix it
While working in windows 7 x64 rc, every so often, the little networking icon gets a little yellow ! sign over it.
I thought at first my internet connection had been lost, but i couldnt' connect to the router SO i tried my laptop, and it connected fine to the router. And the internet was working.
Now, about once an hour, this happens. It is only fixable by disabling, then reenabling the ethernet adaptor itself. The adaptor simply stops transmitting and receiving, randomly for no reason.
I have an nvidia EVGA 680i SLI (nvidia) board, it has 2 on board 10/100/1000 ethernet ports. I have tried uninstalling them (with deleting the driver) and then reinstalling them, no such luck.
Worked perfectly in build 7077, but in the release candidate, i'm getting this recurring problem.
The problem, to reitterate, is not with the router, or with my internet connect. I'm saying that to stem the expected tide of "trun off your router, leave it for 30 seconds, turn it back on again" type responses
If anyone can help me, i would really appreciate that.
BTW< i have the latest drivers for my motherboard and so on. I have tried both WITH and WITHOUT the nvidia network manager. (network manager was incompatible with Vuze, and didn't solve the disconnects problem anyway).
Give me instructions if you need more information and i'll get it for you.. thank you so much.
Oh, and lastly, this is wired networking, in case you thought it might be a wireless problem. I've even tried using new ethernet cables. TO NO AVAIL!!
I just installed windows 7 this morning and thought that it would be best to get the internet running first thing then start putting on all the programs that I would like to have. While running the linksys wireless usb adapter the setup will recognize that the adapter is inserted into the computer in multiple different usb ports but will not finish the install once inserted. Is this a known windows 7 bug or am I doing something wrong wih the installation? If you would like more information just ask and I would be more than happy to provide it.
I have a TP-LINK adaptor 150mbps (TL-WN722N). I have used it over 1 year now and the speed never changes, it always 65 mbps. Although sometimes its very slow even with the 65mbps.
