Dual Screen, Unable To Full Screen On Second Monitor?
Feb 26, 2012I have 2 monitors set up,
Primary: Samsung Syncmaster 19 Inch widesreen 1400 * 900
Secondary: LG E2541 25 Inch Widescreen 1980 * 1080
OS: Windows 7 64bit
VideoCard: Nvidia Geforce 560 Ti
I use my primary mostly for browsing, msn, music players, Ventrilo etc etc,I want to use my secondary Monitor for gaming Watching Videos.However, when i want to use something Full screen on my secondary monitor it goes full screen on the primary monitor.
I cant also run it in windowed mode and stretch it out to full screen, it does not allow me to do that, it goes back to the size of my primary Monitor.
Ps.I want this since i play mostly with fullscreen borderless or in windowed mode so i can still browse the internet or adjust music/ventrillo settings. I dont want to have an Taskbar below the game, so thats why i need it on the Second Monitor.
1080p Monitor Not Full Screen?
Sep 9, 2009my laptop has an ati x1600 mobility card and is outputting via hdmi (mini dvi-actually) to an ASUS VH242H (full 1080p) monitor. When I had this connected running xp I had not problem with the screen resolution and size, but now that I'm running windows 7 the 1920x1080 resolution is available, but the picture doesn't fill the whole screen, there is like a 1" black box around the displayed screen.
I believe it has something to do with my display driver, I'm currently using the one provided by windows update.
Full Screen Program On Secondary Monitor

I have a video that I want to play, but I want it to be FULL SCREEN and stretched to every screen.Is there a software that can do this? I know I could just pull the edges of the window to fit, but that will look tacky and is unacceptable.I know there are hardware solutions, but I would prefer software.
Dual Monitor Full Screen Video Weirdness
Oct 31, 2009i have dual monitors on a geforce 9800gtx+ with newest drivers from nvidia, and i have some weirdness when it comes to fullscreen videos, if i am playing a video in wmp or watching a Internet video in fullscreen on either monitor, when i click on the other monitor it come out of full screen on the monitor playing the video.
im running win 7 ultimate x86
any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Monitor Not Displaying 1920x1080?
Nov 4, 2011I know this computer can do it. I've done in Windows 7 and on Ubuntu before.
When I open screen resolution, the highest one displayed is 1600x1200. When I got to my adapter settings and click "List Modes" the highest one shown is 1920x1440, though when that one's clicked, my monitor says "mode not supported"..
I've tried using powerstrip. But when i get to the part where you install the driver, it won't let me install it. i click it over and over and over again, but nothing happens.. no error message or anything, it just won't go...
I've been trying to get this to work for hours. I have some embedded graphics intel chip thing.. i couldn't find an exact name anywhere..
Secondary Monitor Not Displaying
Apr 22, 2009I have seen a couple dual monitor problems on this forum, but no solutions for my issue. I have Windows 7 32 with dual 4850 cards and CCC installed with Crossfire configured. I am using 2 20" LCD monitors, my primary works fine. Windows detects my second 20" monitor and I have set the resolution and that it should extend my desktop but there is no display.
When windows is loading both monitors display the Windows 7 splash page so I know the signal is getting there. Also I have tried resetting the drivers, uninstalling them, etc. At no point have I been able to get windows to display on both monitors. Any ideas?

Oct 27, 2009I'm having trouble getting my monitor to display at its maximum resolution and I cannot for the life of me figure out what's wrong.
I have an ASUS VH242H 23.6" Monitor which has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080. I originally had windows xp and it could display this resolution just fine. Now, after installing windows 7, when I hook the monitor up to my laptop, I can only get it to display up 1400x1200. Going past this point causes the monitor to flas an out of range message. Furthermore, my computer won't let me designate the refresh rate as far as I can tell. I updated the driver for my graphics card and that didn't seem to make a difference.

Play A Video In Jet Audio On One Monitor While Play A Full-screen Game On The Other?
Feb 3, 2012how can I play a video in jet audio (or any other media program) on one monitor while I play a fullscreen game on the other. I can get it to work with streams off of website like own3d.tv and twitch.tv, and I can even run the streams in full screen. However when I try to run a movie through jet audio or even just play music through zune player, they freeze up. The audio will still come through, but either the picture is frozen in place or the zune player seems to get frozen.

May 1, 2012After attempting to start my PC in Safe Mode to uninstall a graphics driver, it loaded drivers normally only to crash a few seconds after displaying the logon screen, which immediately caused the computer to load Windows normally. This error has been repeated countless times with the same result.
I have only tried to start up 'normal' Safe Mode. Sometimes key strokes are accepted (one time I had enough time to start inputting my password), but mostly, Safe Mode loads drivers, flashes the logon screen, and crashes.
Any ideas/advice? I have had this computer for 3 years now and this is the first time I have tried to start it in Safe Mode. If it matters, it's a Studio 1737, 8 GB ram, etc., more details can be provided if necessary.

Aug 11, 2009Just updated from Vista 64 to Windows7 64 build7100 .
Using DellWFP 32" monitor and ATI v7200 video card.
My desktop will not extend all the way left to right or top to bottom on my monitor.
It has black bar around desktop extending to edges of monitor.
When I set screen resolution to max 2560x1280 or recommended 1280x800 , then desktop goes full height and width of monitor. However these settings do not work for me at all.
Any other resolution setting and desktop is centered on monitor, very small with black all around it.
Here is image I took with my camera, as a screen shot only displays the desktop. This shows how the desktop is residing within the monitor. I've tried every resolution setting there is for this video card , checked to make sure I had the latest drivers also.
Full Screen Videos Crashing To Black Screen And Buzzing
Mar 26, 2011My computer has a problem with crashing while playing a video in full screen. When it crashes the screen turns black while the speakers give out a buzzing noise. Everything is unresposive the only solution is to turn it off with the power button. It happens in any full screen video online or offline and even visualizations from windows media player and iTunes, but only in full screen. I don't think it's overheating either because sometimes it takes 30 mins to crash and other times it will crash immediately when put in full screen. *I've tried setting it back to factory settings thus reinstalling windows. *All the directx features are working with no reported problem there.* I don't think it's a memory issue in the computer, as my specs are:
Windows 7 64-bit
Processor: intel core i5 3.20 GHz
Ram: 8 GB
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 220
Graphics card memory: 0.5 GB
Any other ideas?
