In trying to install my Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick in my new Windows 7 computer, I get a message that in order to install it, I need a 64 bit version.Does Microsoft provide upgrades for this?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI loaded the logitech 32-bit driver in VXP and it installed just fine but when it scanned for joysticks it sees nothing. The Device Manager says the driver can't be loaded (Code 39).
Anyway back on the Win7 side, the Joystick works fine except for Fury 3, which I also can't get to install so I copyed the CD to the disk and found Fury3.exe and fired it up to see what would happen and it runs, just does not see the joystick, keyboard controls work fine.
run Windows 7 on a Dell Precision 370? I have seen ppl say it is running. I had 32bit Windows 7 Ultimate working on my 370 for a few minutes. Then I installed Win 7 SP1 and it crashed. Now, I cannot get it to start or even freshly install again. I get Blue Screen Of Death ...F4 error, and it reboots. Does anyone have it running at all on a 370 or after SP1 it failed like mine? And which version of Win 7?
View 7 Replies View RelatedFrench living in Japan, I just moved to windows 7 and wheninstalling Sidewinder joystick, the installation goes up to theend or step 1. then ask me me in an error message if I want to leave the set up program.No way to go to step 2- settings and test.In the device manager, the joystick does not appear. the CFS3 game recognise the joystick, it can be use, but there too...no way to adujst it or make buttons assignments.... Any new downloads availave for a driver compatible with Windows 7....?Or do we have to wait for a new joystick to appear?

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Dell Precision 670 will not boot Windows 7 after upgrading the memory to 8GB.Configuration follows:*BIOS A06*2 x 4GB SIMMS in slots 1 and 2. These are correct WS670/4GB PC3200 EEC registered modules as recommended.*memory fan is installed*3 SCSI drives with Adaptec 7901 RAID controller.I've got a dual boot setup, and the system boots and runs fine from the alternate OS (Win XP x64) just fine. The BIOS lists the memory as installed and shows no errors or problems. A memory test indicates that the memory is okay. When I try to do a boot repair from Win7, the Win7 OS is not listed and installing the correct RAID and SCSI drivers from the repair window does not make it visible. The partition is not, in fact, visible from the repair tool. When I put the old memory back in (4 x 512mb SIMMS in slots 1,2,3,4) the system boots and runs fine with Windows 7. What's up with this?

You can restart or shutdown the laptop at numerous times and on occassion the laptop gets stuck at the splash screen (where the windows come together), and will sit there for hours on end. Sometimes a single hard reset will allow it to boot, and be on it's merry way. System runs great once it boots into Windows.I'm not running any external drives on it. I've encountered issue on and off docking station, or running on power and or battery.M4700 with core i7, 16 GB Ram, Quadro K2000M, 256 GB Seagate OEM SSD.I checked hard drive with HDTune, and it checked out okay, except for 1 communication error, so to be on the safe side, I had the drive replaced. Still did it.Did a repair installation of Windows 7, still doing it. There's nothing different installed on this machine that isn't the exact same as the M4600s at the office.Is there a log that can be looked at, and or turned on to see what's causing it to hang at the splash screen? A few times it will go past the splash screen, but never displays the welcome screen (displays just a black screen).

In order to use the US keyboard in windows 7 to make a @ by pressing shift+2. I'm Swedish and I use SV as keyboard in Windows 7. I can make {[]} (6,7,8,9,0) but not the AltGr+number button 2,3,4,5.
