Feb 28, 2012so i bought a Tomee Wired Controller Wired TOMEE Controller for PS3 PLAYSTATION 3 USB NEW | eBay and the description says that i simply have to plug it in and the software will install by itself. the first time i plugged it it it said installing driver generic usb joystick so i assumed it worked. im running windows 7 64 bit home premium btw i tried this controller out of lots of games and after plugging it in the buttons did nothing. i was wondering if there was a special program that i can use? motioninjoy does not support this controller cause its not sixaxis controller, but i dont need it for the ps3, just my pc. when you go into properties and stuff you find a place that shows you what buttons youre pressing on the controller, so i know the computer is recieving the controlls, so i was wondering if there was a program that can translate those botton presses into say, left down up and right, or az,sx,dc etc. if not, is there any way fo rmy games to work on this controller? remember this controller is not for ps3 but for pc so theres no worries that i need to translate ps3 code to pc code (idk if there even IS such a thing but whatever)

Dec 6, 2011Every time I stick a DVD (game/movie) into the drive it comes up with an autoplay box with 1 option, to open the folder to view files. In Explorer the DVD shows up just as a generic DVD - basically as if it were just a blank disc for burning. If I 'explore' the disc there are no playable files, just an empty folder and a notepad document. I can't play the DVD in WMP, or any other player and can't start a game from the disc. This happened once before after burning a CD, the system just wouldn't recognise DVDs. It sorted itself out pretty quickly last time, this time, again after burning a CD, I can't get it to work.

Oct 23, 2011I've recently decided to dig out my old Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick and put it to good use. However, it seems that Windows 7 either lacks the calibration wizard that Windows XP had or it's just hidden very well. Jul 9, 2011I loaded the logitech 32-bit driver in VXP and it installed just fine but when it scanned for joysticks it sees nothing. The Device Manager says the driver can't be loaded (Code 39).
Anyway back on the Win7 side, the Joystick works fine except for Fury 3, which I also can't get to install so I copyed the CD to the disk and found Fury3.exe and fired it up to see what would happen and it runs, just does not see the joystick, keyboard controls work fine.

2. Find out what processes are running under each Svchost
3. Identify the Process ID (PID) for each Svchost
If a Svchost has multiple processes running under it how do I find out how much memory each of those processes under a generic svchost is using?
1. Click on the Windows world ball
2. Type "command prompt"
3. Right click on "command prompt" and run as Adminstrator
4. At the command prompt first type in "tasklist /svc". This will give you the "Image Name" "PID" and "Process(s)" for each PID (Product Identification Number)
5.Follow the method described below for each Process that you want to isolate.
Creating an Isolated Process.What this method really does is modify one of the registry parameters for the service in question from a shared process to an isolated process. The command syntax is fairly straightforward and uses the sc config command set: sc config <service name> type= own. So for Windows Updates (wuauserv), the command would be: sc config wuauserv type= own. Note that there is a space between the '=' and 'own' - you must insert that space.
6. Reboot
7. Now repeat steps 1 - 4 below the double dotted line above
8. Verify that the "Process" that you wanted to isolate has its own PID
9. Type in Tasklist /FI "PID eq xxxx". Where "xxxx" is the number of the PID that you just isolated.Make sure to type in the quotes as indicated.
You will now be able to see the memory usage of the process that you just isolated. Note that the image name will still show as "Svchost.exe". To verify that you are looking at the correct PID, you can run "Process Explorer", go the PID in question, right click, left click on Properties, left click on Services and you will see the service that you just isolated. Does isolating a service out of a Svchost and creating its own Svchost change the total amount of memory that your system is using? I would think that it would because you are adding an additional Svchost for each process that you isolate.
Generic NIC Card Drivers
Oct 30, 2009Where on the Win 7 RC 64 bit installation disk can I find its Generic NIC Card Drivers. My install disk points me to the System32 Folder but stops there. Can anyone lead me to the correct Folder and File Name for these Drivers.
