Where on the Win 7 RC 64 bit installation disk can I find its Generic NIC Card Drivers. My install disk points me to the System32 Folder but stops there. Can anyone lead me to the correct Folder and File Name for these Drivers.
If you have a laptop and have a problem getting the built in SD / MMC card reader to work then I've found the "generic" one from the Twinhead german site does OK. For X-64 use the Vista driver. Expanding the zip file will give you the 32 and 64 bit drivers.
The most "Generic" drivers seem to come from the F11Y laptop series but choose from other models if this doesn't work.
Most of these drivers are pretty "Generic" so should work with a huge amount of hardware irrespective of your actual model.
HP/DELL/COMPAQ owners are usually pretty lucky as the manufacturers sites are pretty OK. It's when you buy essentially an unknown brand of laptop where you can't find the "manufacturers" site as the laptop is badged under a different name. From the link just click on the Notebook model and get the drivers.
No stupid registration or "Let's scan your computer to see what driver you need" -- and then you are re-directed to a PAY service or more adware nonsense -- I HATE those sites --what if I'm using a different computer to get the driver than the one I install it on.
I have a multi-function card reader installed in my computer and it will not read any of the flash cards I have, this card reader has USB connection on the front which works fine. I am attaching a screen shot it is the generic USB Hub right under Universal Serial Bus controllers that is the cause of this problem. As you can see the the Sony cam USB device on this hub is working fine, but I cannot plug in any CF Flash XD or SD or MS flash card to the reader they are not seen. I have disabled the reader restarted the computer no luck. I am sure it is a realtek card reader I have tried installing latest driver from realtek with no luck. This was working fine in the past in fact the realtek drivers also worked and showed up in device manager.
So I installed 7 Pro RTM, and plugged in my external sound card and no dice. I wouldn't normally care as I have a working PCI soundcard, except that its a really really high quality DAC, and it cost me a lot of money, so I'd rather not just forget all about it
On XP it uses just generic usbaudio.sys, it works on macs, linux, etc without any issues. What can I try? I attempted to copy across a windows xp version of usbaudio.sys, but that didn't seem to help (I'm not entirely sure I did this correctly).
When I check for latest drivers on the toshiba website, it says that I have the latest ones installed however when I check intel and realtek, they have newer version generic drivers. At the moment my sound and graphics are very laggy and distort quite often when listening to music or watching films.Should I update the drivers with the generic ones or just stick to the OEM toshiba ones?
Card is a 3com pci card - 3Com EtherLink 10/100 PCI NIC (3C905-TX).
Now, I have just decided to go 64bit, and all is installed driver wise aside from this card.
So, I have just downloaded a 3c90x1.exe package, (the site I have it from suggests it is 64bit compatible), but when I try to run the exe i get an error suggesting that it is not compatible with the version I am running.
Can anyone offer any suggestions on this please. or a location for a verified working 64bit driver?
im running an evga sli 58x, and windows 7 64bit 7077
i have the RC1 version of windows 7 but i hate to install that and as i have all my games and everything id have to reinstall with it(major pain) plus im not even sure if that would fix my problem
anyways when i plug my card reader in i can't access it at all, it does show up in device manager but it says drivers not installed. I don't think they make this card reader anymore and there would be drivers floating around for a card reader, so what are my choices?
I need some Drivers for my computer I bought at Cyberpower pc. It's an x- infinity case. It's about 5 years old. They said they don't have the driver's anymore. Wondering I somebody here has them. Drivers for the USB smart card.
I just completed a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit (x86) after formatting my computer, which was previously running Windows XP Professional SP3. Everything during the install went smoothly, but now I'm trying to install my graphics card drivers and it's not working. Before I go further, here are my system 'specs':OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit Mobo: ASUS M2A-VM (Green) Graphics Card: nVidia 9800 GT CPU: AMD Athlon 5400+ The first driver I attempted to install was my motherboard driver. I used the CD that came with the mobo, but the drivers were not compatible with Windows 7 so I had to run the driver under compatibility mode for Windows Vista in order to open the setup, then I installed those drivers. I then restarted and attempted to install my graphics card drivers off the CD that came with my 9800 GT. The first set of drivers that it installed were the PhysX drivers and those installed just fine. It then attempted to install the actually graphics card drivers, but then it said "The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit." I opened up dxdiag and checked under the display tab and it's not showing any hardware under that tab, as if I have no graphics card. I then tried installing the Windows 7 32 Bit drivers that I downloaded from the nVidia site for the 9800 GT but when it does the system compatibility check, and error occurs that says "NVIDIA Installer cannot continue, the graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." I then checked in the device manager under the 'Sound, video, and game controllers' section and only Realtek High Definition Audio is there. I have also installed the drivers for my motherboard found on the ASUS website after selecting the Windows 7 OS. I downloaded and installed the driver under the 'Chipset' section titled 'AMD Chipset Driver V22.214.171.124 for Windows 7 32bit/64bit--(WHQL).'Basically, my computer is not even detecting that I have a graphics card yet my monitor is plugged into the DVI port on my graphics card, and my graphics card is on. Does anyone know what's going on? Better yet, does anyone know where I could find drivers that will work and make my system functional?EDIT: If anyone requires any further information in order to help me with my problem, just let me know and I will get it asap.EDIT2: I just looked in my device manager and I noticed that under the 'system devices' section there is a device with a exclamation point in a yellow triangle called 'PCI Standard PCI-to-PCI bridge'. There is another one with the same name that doesn't have the symbol. Could this perhaps be part of the problem? The error for this device is 'This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12) If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.' I have a feeling this is the problem. I went into my bios and enabled the "Plug and Play OS" but when I did that it made my computer run INSANELY loud. So I turned it off.
ok over the past month or so I have been trying to solve a problem with my Windows 7 installation (build 7232.0.1md64fre.winmain.0980610-1900)
after a fresh install I had to find the smu drivers for my biostar MB and windows installed it's own video driver 126.96.36.19985 dated april 09. the gfx card is a 9800GTX+ has the bios 188.8.131.52.6.
now since then I haven't been able to install any of nvidias driver updates and windows own driver update for my my gfx card, what happens is I install the driver then my system reeboots and as the driver loads after reeboot I simply get a blue screen error
I have tried various methods of unninstalling the drivers first and also using "drivercleaner.net" and also unninstalling my antivirus but none of these make any difference I still get the blue screen error "System_Service_Exception" stop 0x0000003B etc etc file mentioned is "nvlddmkm.sys"
now I can continue to use the OS by going into safe mode and removing the driver and letting windows install the default driver, but the tweaker in me is determined to get to the route cause of this problem
Is this something specific to this build or do I have a corrupted driver file somewhere or is there something simple I need to do with possibly the registry.
before i gutted it out and put all new stuff in, my computer was once an eMachines C6415. it has a built in card reader that 7 identifies, but just as a generic card reader. there are windows xp drivers for it that will give them certain icons and specify what kind of slot they are, but i can't find any for 7. they work and all, but i want them to show up in my computer with all the correct information (instead of the generic icon that just says "removable drive"). i can't find any 7 drivers for it. any help?
Okay so i have an older Wireless PCI Card from like 5 years ago, I didnt have an antenna for it so i didnt use it, I recently came across the antenna and put the card in my PC, The "Ethernet Controller" says it doesnt have the drivers, and windows wont find it on its own. So i have gone to the website and downloaded the driver and software, it all tells me there are several missing .dll files.
So i downloaded them virus scanned them etc. and still no progress on getting the card installed. I dont know where the CD for it is and i doubt the CD would even work for windows 7. Can anyone help me out with this prob? Its a Wireless-B PCI Adapter 2.4GHz Model No. BB720C808230
I was searching for some updates for my intel WiFi link 1000BGN on this site : Intel Driver Update Utility.i saw that there was a driver 184.108.40.206.so i updated it.I download it and executed it, there was a little sign of the wireless. Then the wireless card restarted itself. However, when i go to the driver details after the installation, the driver is still the old one.
I have been having a problem recently with my GTX 560 graphics card. Anytime the computer is shutdown when it restarts the graphics card drivers are not recognized and it begins the process of reinstalling them. Then when I restart it works again.
When i install the drivers from the disk it says "Installation Complete (warning occurred during installation). View log for details." Then when i view the log it says:
AMD Display DriverFinal Status: Fail Version of Item: 9.002.0.0000 Size: 90 Mbytes and HDMI/DP Audio DriverFinal Status: Fail Version of Item: 220.127.116.1108 Size: 1 Mbytes
I cant seem to fix this ive tried different thing, restarted, uninstalled and re installed and non of them are working. At the bottom it says:
